That's just such great news Poly , you must be SO relieved!! Hurray!

Fancy I am doing a poo dance right now. It involves shaking that ass and lots of squatting. Bet the neighbours at their window think it's a pretty sight Wink

Good food: I have had greek salad again :) YUM! And looooaaads of ice cream. Double yum. Now just waiting for my shopping delivery so I can make quesadillas...

PolytheneGirl · 13/06/2014 20:26

I've been proper sobbing! DS asked me why I was crying and I told him it was because I was so happy. He said "Mommy, you're a really, really, really, really, really, really special creature!" It just made me worse!

fancyacupoftea · 13/06/2014 20:27

Oh, for good food I made an asparagus, egg and bacon flan. It was amaze.

PolytheneGirl · 13/06/2014 20:30

Mlle I'm all about the Greek salad right now. I can't remember the last day I went without feta, olives, green salad, tzatziki and hummus! Thank goodness I've got over the crisp compulsion!

PolytheneGirl · 13/06/2014 20:31

Fancy that sounds so good!

CallingAllEngels · 13/06/2014 20:32

poly that is fantastic news!

lindamagoo · 13/06/2014 20:36

Poly I'm really pleased all went well at the eye clinic today Smile what a relief for you.

I've had a busy, stressful day shopping, it's Jayden's 5th birthday tomorrow and still had loads to get, the second the boys are sleeping I'm off to bed, tomorrow will be hectic

Spotti · 13/06/2014 20:37

Mmmmm, houmous! I have a broad bean, asparagus and mint pot in the fridge...I could dip carrot sticks in it...mmmm

It is a bit late to be eating though...hmm...

Treaclepie19 · 13/06/2014 20:38

Thank you spotti :)

You're all so lovely -
Wine is a good thing also...

[Tootles off before you realise I shouldn't be here]

Knottyknitter · 13/06/2014 20:58

All these dinners sound fantastic!

I had a big of a fridge dive this evening;'home made mac and cheese (not Mac, but pasta squiggles and shells....) with naice ham!

Work really sucked today. Any day you have to do the mental workout that ends in "no problem, mystery rashes are my business" in front of someone who doesn't know is just great!

(More chicken "pokes" as it turned out, and yes, I've had it, but felt like crying at the time)

Knottyknitter · 13/06/2014 21:05

And having read the non-foods posts:

Poly - fab news sweetie, you sob if you want to!

Treacle - great to see you, have a big glass of wine for me. You must keep coming here, I'm sure it won't be long till we get you back for good (hums ill remembered take that song...)

Kiwi juice is the dogs b's for constipation btw and far nicer than fybogel etc so if you have a juicer give it a go. (When I was in NZ they sold it in 4 pint bottles like milk in the supermarkets, but easy to do at home) you can poo dance while juicing for extra effect!

Treaclepie19 · 13/06/2014 21:11

Haha thanks knotty, i shall keep drinking wine... just for you of course.

I can't wait to be back. "Want you back, want you back, want you back for goooood"

Spotti · 13/06/2014 21:21

..."we just want you back for good" Grin

Treaclepie19 · 13/06/2014 21:28

"Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it..." :p

RetroHippy · 13/06/2014 21:33

Just had my preggie parade well and truly pissed on by someone who I'm certain didn't mean it, but I'm still in a grump.

The constant, gnawing hunger that I had from around 5 weeks but is now easing, definitely "nothing to do with pregnancy, you're just imagining it. That doesn't come till the third trimester" Hmm So waking up at 4am so hungry I felt sick, that's nothing to do with the person I'm growing? Don't know why but it's really pissed me off. I suppose that's another symptom I'm making up?!

I'm only going to talk to you guys about it now. People who've recently had babies are far too smug and know everything. The idea that symptoms might be different...nope.

Told my DBro he's going to be an uncle though, he's well chuffed bless him. Made me feel a bit less Hmm

bellaboo88 · 13/06/2014 21:34

It was me with boulder boobs but they're mostly plastic so god knows why I was in agony it lasted 24hours then poof gone!!

No crampy aches today but I had a lil random 'I'm pregnant' cry. Getting tired earlier in the day now....brains willing, body says no!

Fingers crossed fox, my achey beans to the right so I've just been visualising it burrowing in & asking the scan person if placentas on that side at 12w scan & them agreeing...trying to stay calm. Very sorry to hear about your grandad :-( In my family we say one in one out when we loose someone, lost out last on Xmas eve & she told me to quit work n have kids...she'll be smiling down xx

PolytheneGirl · 13/06/2014 21:43

Awww Retro, how shit! Take no notice! Stupid cow! Angry SIL Has been doing it to me (she's 33w with dc1) I think she's forgetting I've done it before!

Im hoping it's going to rain tomorrow. I bought DS the Frozen dvd today and I really want to watch it! Seriously considered putting it on tonight Hmm

OP posts:
RetroHippy · 13/06/2014 21:48

Oh, I'm avoiding SIL, she's the queen of condescending know-it all comments. Am only going to talk to nice and understanding people. Said friend also said to not be surprised if my 12 week scan wasn't till 14 or even 17 weeks. Ok, it might be, but I could really do with it being 12. And now I'm mad at her not the hospital. Definitely going to be a grumpy pregnancy.

Frozen is good but, in my (humble) opinion, not a patch on Tangled. And not in the same league as Brave. Not enough comedy singing for my liking.

MademoiselleG · 13/06/2014 22:13

retro , poly , do we have the same SIL? Mine is 3 weeks ahead of me (you know, the one who did the 'lovely' insensitive Skype announcement?!) and she's is bloody unbearable!!
"What? You don't get a scan every 2 weeks?"
"What? You haven't had your blood test results yet?"
"No, 12 weeks is definitely NOT 3 months, it's 15 weeks". (Yeah, I know she's mathematically right but uuuugh!!)

MademoiselleG · 13/06/2014 22:17

Ps: zermatt I can't find kiwi juice at all here! Might try homemade...

RetroHippy · 13/06/2014 22:19

DNiece is nearly two. But SIL was unbearable pregnant, is an unbearable know-it-all mother, and is going to be seriously hard work as someone who knows everything about parenting.

She gave bf advice to a complete stranger in boots. No, she hadn't asked for it Shock

PolytheneGirl · 13/06/2014 22:27

Eeek Retro, how embarrassing! She sounds like a nightmare. I have to say I love my SIL normally but it just annoys me that she seems to think she knows it all and talks to me like I know nothing.

Mlle who could forget the Skype incident! I bet you loved returning the call! I'd have followed it up with a phone call saying "I'm sorry, it must be so hard for you me steeling your thunder and all". Grin

PolytheneGirl · 13/06/2014 22:29

We love Brave and Tangled in this house! DS loves a bit of a girly flick. I'm hoping Frozen will keep him happy for a bit and give us a couple of new songs!

Evening!
glad your appointment went well poly !!! :) fab result!

came home today to a letter confirming my first mw appointment AND my 12 week scan (which will actually be my 11 week scan as I had told my dr I have longer cycles but he obviously didnt write it down anywhere!!) Happy happy happy!!

I met a friend for dinner and had a burger (my fave) but only managed to eat just under half. What has happened to me?!?!?!
