Thanks ladies. I'm only 4+4 so will call epu tmrw to book for a scan at 6. Now to make 10 days fly by!

Have a good rest of Sunday eve all xx

I asked my sonographer about the placenta as baby was v low down and to the left. I though that might mean my placenta was low, and she said "oh, you can't see the placenta at this stage". Do you think placenta and 12wk foetus are in around the same spot?

Morning all! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. I told my Mum yesterday. She screamed and then burst into tears, it was awesome Grin
We had TWO bbqs over the weekend and it was tough. I had to pretend I was drinking the whole time! One of my friends kept handing me glasses of prosecco and every time I went to the loo I had to pour some down the sink. Such a waste! :(

lindamagoo · 09/06/2014 09:47

Ladies this is most defo a TMI post, hope you don't mind? For any of you who have dtd, we had a wee quickie during the night last night and when I went to the bathroom just now, after peeing, I had the longest greeny/yellow cm I've ever seen! BOAK! Is this normal? Could it just have been sperm mixed with normal cm? I'm freaking out here Shock Sorry if this is a bit much but I don't know who else to ask

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 09:52

hanflan that's so lovely, I can't wait to tell my Mum, every time I speak to her I have to literally bite my tongue! We've decided to wait a couple more weeks so we can go down to visit (she and my MIL live a couple of hours away).

Feeling very emotional this morning, got the news last night that my Granddad (who's been in hospital for a while) has taken a turn for the worst after contracting yet another infection, he's got just days left now. Feels like a horribly turbulent time :(

hanflan · 09/06/2014 09:54

linda I think that's normal, from what I have heard, but pretty grim all the same haha Grin

frenetic So sorry to hear about your Grandad. Try and look after yourself.

lindamagoo · 09/06/2014 09:56

Hanflan it's really not what I needed to see when I already feel so sick, we will not be dtd again if that's what happens, lol

hanflan · 09/06/2014 10:05

Haha I must say, ms hasn't sicked in yet but that did make me feel a little queasy! Think next time just wipe and don't look haha.

hanflan · 09/06/2014 10:06

*kicked in, not sicked in. How appropriate!

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 10:13

I've been feeling a little queasy on and off this weekend; I ordered some seabands from Amazon and although I'm not 100% convinced it's not a placebo, I certainly feel less icky when I'm wearing them. Sadly wearing them in the office means I feel like I'm wearing a big I'M PREGNANT flag!!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/06/2014 10:32

I'm sorry about your grandad Frenetic
Linda- I have no idea Ida about the cm! Sounds gross though! Lol!!

Feeling distinctly bleurgh today.

broodysnoopstie · 09/06/2014 11:00

Sorry to hear about your grandad Frenetic.

Little update from me. Spotting came back with a vengeance yesterday afternoon so I went to gp this morning. She phoned up there and then and booked me a scan at epu on Thursday. Scared Blush

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 11:15

broody fingers x'd that it's all routine and nothing fret about, I hear lots of stories of spotting so hopefully it's just a symptom of hormones!

broodysnoopstie · 09/06/2014 11:15

Thanks I'll be keeping all my Fx too

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 11:19

You've done the right thing calling up Broody, fingers crossed all is well and you get some positive reassurance.

Sorry to hear about your grandad frenetic x

Linda stories like that make me laugh. A LOT. Why was it green?! Maybe condoms next time?

Ooh sea bands! Excellent idea! Just ordered some. I expect my nausea will have buggered off by the time it arrives.

Crazy preggo dreams still happening. Last night was a good one as it involved a penis dragon meet up in a swimming pool (obvs) but I was self-conscious because people were cooler than me. WHY AREN'T I COOL ENOUGH FOR YOU?

broodysnoopstie · 09/06/2014 11:23

Thanks Fancy you are cool enough for me Smile

lindamagoo · 09/06/2014 11:33

Broody hope you are ok Thanks

Fancy I think you are the coolest Smile

And yes I think it will defo be condoms from now on, don't want that again Confused

lindamagoo · 09/06/2014 11:33

Frenetic I'm sorry to hear about your grandad Thanks

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 11:37

Thank you, such a nice bunch of people here, can't believe I was so nervous about signing up! (I'm massively shy most of the time!)

My immediate colleagues now know, which I feel much better about. I suffer with chronic pain, so having the extra leeway and understanding in the office is a good thing, I hope! I'm utterly awful at keeping this a secret!

My first midwife appointment is 16th June, what can I expect when I go in? (It's at my GP's surgery)

hanflan · 09/06/2014 11:37

Broody I am keeping my fingers crossed for you Flowers is it still brown?

broodysnoopstie · 09/06/2014 11:41

Thanks all, I'm Ok. Just scared it wont be good news on Thursday. But need to put a positive spin on it, it might be good news and I might see my bean! Yes still Brown which is a good thing I know. x

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 11:47

Frenetic it's quite boring. You will have to give a urine sample that gets tested immediately and you will have to give blood. Also get weighed to check BMI. They take medical history of you and family and any previous birth information. There's a bombardment of 85% utterly useless leaflets and advertisements and some information about what happens next in terms of antenatal care. They might also ask now if you're considering a home birth.

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 11:52

Thank you fancy, pretty much what I had imagined. Poor DH might feel a bit overwhelmed though, bless him! I don't think it's sunk in for him yet!!

MademoiselleG · 09/06/2014 11:54

They will also ask you if you and the father are related. I answered 'yes, he's my husband!'...

Wrong answer...

Zermatt · 09/06/2014 11:55

Sorry to hear about your Grandpa Frenentic

Glad you've got an early scan date for thurs broody hope that the spotting eases off before then, xx

I've just demolished an embarrassingly large slab of chili cheddar, am about to hide the evidence. Not that there's much evidence left to hide mind.
