Lips are sealed Zermatt! Unfortunately on phone so can't zoom on the order. Actually, that's a good thing, I've been dragging myself away from looking at mat clothes for ages.

I think my cramps are only just starting to calm down at 10 weeks tomorrow (funnily enough, straight after I saw the doctor for a particularly bad one, but as we all know now that was constipation - or an impacted bowel, to be more specific). I got them more on one side which turned out to be the side I OVd from and the side the baby is. If it's ever bad enough that you need pain killers, get it checked out.

Sorry about the bumsick poly. We'll have enough poo issues to deal with when the beans arrive, so why now too?!

Broody really hope it does away so you can relax.

toots123 · 08/06/2014 09:48

Hope the spotting buggers off broody! If your concerned, call111!

Where has my ms gone? Im hoping its normal for it to come and go. Not complaining, at least I can finally eat now!!
Will be able to relax in 4-5 weeks hopefully.

told IL's yesterday. They are so happy for us :) got the docs tomorrow as he needs to confirm my pregnancy before I see mw. Hoping to book early scan in next few days too. Its all go!!!

fancyacupoftea · 08/06/2014 10:22

How far along are you now Toots? Think it's fine for ms to come and go - I'm fine as anything in the mornings and then it just creeeeeps up until I feel proper grim in the evenings.

hanflan · 08/06/2014 10:36

Ah fancy mine are mostly on my left side too and that's the side i ov'd from! Must be little bean settling down in there then. It's actually fine this morning so that's good! Also, my areolas (is that the bit around the nipples?) are huge! Anyone else get this as a pg symptom?!

broodysnoopstie · 08/06/2014 11:18

It's stopped again I'm still getting discharge but its back to white. Thanks for all you kindness support and great advice. I'm exhausted and going back to bed for an hour. Hope you all enjoy the sun xx

toots123 · 08/06/2014 11:50

Im 7+4 fancy im sure all is fine. I generally worry about everything anyway! Thinking of booking early scan for two weeks away which is think will be a nice time if heartbeat etc is all fine

glad your better broody. Think we will always worry until the baby is an adult and even then worry about them some more! My mum was feeling bad for me with my ms and she said imher baby at 25!! :)

EnglishGirlsReturned · 08/06/2014 14:08

Han - I'm hoping my areolas don't get any bigger. DH is always taking the piss out of my apparently massive ones! I don't think they're that big Blush.

Glad the spotting has stopped Broody!! Smile

fancyacupoftea · 08/06/2014 14:26

I've always had small areolas and they've definitely become a bit more burger-y. All part of the preggo package I think!

MademoiselleG · 08/06/2014 14:38

Just had a huge pointless row with H ( no dear in this house at the moment), forever about the same subject: getting stuff done. He can see me wizzing around like a blue-arsed fly trying to put our permanently bomb-site like house in order and is sitting on the sofa playing his stupid online war game. I asked him to help me so we could do a 'power clean' for 5-10 minutes. He wiped the table and picked up dd's shoes then sat down again, because I'd gone upstairs so clearly I wasn't contributing. His response, when confronted, is always the same: head in hands, big huffing and puffing, telling me yo leave him alone and stop bossing him around. I've now retreated to our bedroom and have tears of anger streaming down my face. I know I'm bossy and I know I am a today freak, but I feel like I'm talking to a child who cannot be reasoned with. ConfusedConfused

Sorry for the very self indulgent, me-me post. I'm just so worried that this situation will only get worse when our second child is born... I know I'm certainly to blame too. Just want someone yo wave a magic wand at us and fix us.Hmm

MademoiselleG · 08/06/2014 14:39
  • a tidy freak
fancyacupoftea · 08/06/2014 15:04

Mademoiselle that would wind me up too. I think you have the right to be angry. Don't worry yet about the future - it might not be an issue. If you do feel guilty though, then apologise but make yourself clear - you expect the household duties to be shared in future and hate that you have to get to a point where you have to ask for help.

MademoiselleG · 08/06/2014 15:15

Thanks fancy. I feel pathetic now AND nothing has been done. Off to the park to get some fresh air with dd, let's hope it will lift everyone's mood...

fancyacupoftea · 08/06/2014 18:09

Did the park work Mademoiselle?

I'm settling in for the evening with my daily evening headache.

How is everyone else? Good weekends?

MademoiselleG · 08/06/2014 19:20

Kind of, although trying to discuss the row and finding a way forward just lead to more head shaking and huffing and puffing.

I hope I didn't bring the mood down and scared everyone off - it's quiet on here today! I guess people have lives and are out enjoying the sun Grin !

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 19:27

Well I survived 3 hours on a boat, a 3 course meal and 150mile car journey in a car with broken aircon without hurling! Go me Grin

Bella I've had the "bumsick" for over 8 weeks Shock I think I'm actually used to it now. Still I think I prefer it to constipation! I'll have to give the probiotics a go.

Mlle sorry DH is being such a man-child! Mine can be just the same. I'm sure he thinks the housework fairies tidy up after him. They can be so insensitive sometimes too. I hope he's not still sulking.

I have to say that I'm so glad we did the T-shirt thing. DS had an amazing time getting everyone to read it and it was great watching people read it, then a couple of seconds later it dawning on them what it meant.

DS has just told me he doesn't want a baby and to "tell god to take it back". I think he's over tired and has just heard too much baby talk this weekend. He has been asking for a baby for a good 12 months! Hopefully he'll change his mind again soon Hmm

I'm here feeling nauseous! Think from overdoing it walking today and having fish and Chips for lunch then ice cream later. I know greasy foods aren't best so asked for salad but it was saturated in olive oil. I have ibs so shouldn't really eat ice cream anyway. Nausea doesn't feel like ibs nausea though, not enough water and to much shite food no doubt.

So can any of you tell me what's the earliest I can detect a okay on a scan? I mc in February and precursor to that was cramping for the week before. I know cramping can also be normal, so I'd really like to know ASAP if this bean is likely to stick. We think in February it stopped growing around the time we found out I was preg as a digi test during mc gave the same date scan as when we first found out. So we're going to do a digi at 6 weeks (actual 4) as I read on cb website 4+ weeks is the latest date it will give.

Initial happy has worn off and I'm a bit gloom and doom sorry. But nausea is actually cheering me up iykwim. Weirdo! Lol

Sorry you're rowing with dh madmoiselle never easy. I can't bear video games so I'd be going ballistic, lucky fir mine he doesn't play them. If I were you I'd down all cleaning tools and tell him you'll start again when he chips in properly. And in a few days maybe make a list of who does what, with him picking what he wants to do going forward. Mine hovers and cleans floor, and cat boxes and I do everything else. It works well as we both do our bit when we see it needs doing. If he won't do that get a weekly cleaner. We have one as well and it's the best money we spend

freneticfox · 08/06/2014 20:03

Afternoon all.

Had a long chat with my Mum on the phone earlier, so hard not to tell her! Taking a trip to see her and MIL in a couple of weeks to tell them both in person, but I so desperately want to spill the beans!

Am 5weeks today and having had a good night's sleep, feel more positive today :)

fancyacupoftea · 08/06/2014 20:07

Viperama have you been offered an early scan because of your previous mc? If not, would you consider a private one? Will probably give you a lot more reassurance than the digi. Are you sure about 4+ weeks? I thought the cb only said 3+? Are there different types?
If you do have a scan, I had one at 6 weeks and saw everything so it doesn't seem too early to do that.

MademoiselleG · 08/06/2014 20:54

Thank you girls. I'm so hormonal today, it's unreal! I've cried to every single friend at the park today and blabbered to everyone about the pregnancy. The cat is truly out of the bag!

Thank you for your advice viper . We do have a weekly cleaner but with a toddler and a messy husband we could do with one every two days! We normally split it that I cook/ he washes up, but he's not thorough and will leave anything he doesn't know what to do with, so I'm always tidying up after the tidy up... Anyway. I know this is totally the wrong thread (far too scared to ever venture it on the AIBU thread though!!) and I will shut up about it. I am however sniggering at the man-child term poly . Thank you all for being super sweet and supportive even though I think I'm bring really quite OTT...pg hormones, hey?!

MademoiselleG · 08/06/2014 21:01

And viper you could probably just drop in at any EPU and get an early reassurance scan (for free)? I found that they really were incredibly supportive and friendly and understanding about my anxiety when I went. I thought I was 6+4 and was put back to 5+3, however they detected a hb. I don't know the actual earliest time at which you can see something reassuring but anything after 5w and you can see something . They'll then probably refer you to come back 2 weeks later and check growth etc. Let us know how you get on!

Anyway: big hug and BrewThanks for better mood tomorrow! (Thant includes me Wink)

EnglishGirlsReturned · 08/06/2014 21:58

Viper I would say anything from 6 weeks is a safe bet. But try to remember that even a scan at 6 weeks doesn't guarantee things. Don't want to bring you down, just I found being realistic helps. I've set myself small (non pregnancy related) goals to stop myself going crazy. I had a scan at what I thought was about 6 weeks but it showed at sac measuring 4-5. Nothing else. But at 4/5 weeks that's all that can be expected. I've now got a scan on weds (3 weeks later), nurse said at that point they should see everything. So as hard as it is, I'd wait until 7 weeks, to stop disappointment incase they date you further back.

In other news - found an interesting article that said you can predict sex of the baby with good accuracy at an early scan based on where the placenta is - "Or more specifically, the location of the placenta -- 97.2 percent of boys had their placenta on the right side of the uterus at that 6 week ultrasound, and 97.5 percent of girls had theirs on the left". These were then verified at 20 week scan! Crazy huh!

fancyacupoftea · 08/06/2014 22:14

English That 3 weeks has come around really quickly! Or has it felt like forever to you?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 08/06/2014 22:19

It has gone fairly quick, think being back at work definitely helped take my mind off it. Will be sure to ask the sonographer where the placenta is!!
