Thanks ladies it's the fact I've got back pain with it too that's worrying me.. Although it's not really pain more ache.. I'm just praying when I go to the loo it's stopped.. I've changed knickers (tmi) so I can see anything new appear while I wait for DP!

htbftm · 07/06/2014 22:50

Thinking of you Broody - hope things settle down for you. xx

PolytheneGirl · 07/06/2014 23:49

Urgh, I'm shattered but can't sleep because I feel so sick and bloated. My runs seem to have stopped but now I haven't "been" for 2 days and I feel yuck! I thought all this ms and crap was supposed to stop now! bad choice of words!

Everyone join me please and pray for a poo!

Hope that the discharge has eased off broody, I too have read that brown is ok and can be quite normal.

Today I am mostly making this;

Zermatt · 08/06/2014 02:46

P.s I haven't bought anything baby related or maternity related yet, apart from 2 books (no panic pregnancy and your baby week by week) and an antenatal exercise DVD, still waiting for the books and DVD to arrive.

I do have a whole heap of maternity clothes from ASOS saved in my basket though.....here they are...

broody I hope the spotting goes away! Or at least stays brown, everyone says brown is ok. Thinking of you!

Totally newbie question here because I am still so terrified about the whole thing, but is it normal to have constant period type cramps and sometimes slightly sharper twinges? They are not really what you would call painful, just noticeable when I'm paying attention to it. How painful should things get before you start to worry?

Zermatt · 08/06/2014 07:13

Hi Hanflan, big congrats on your BFP, I had loads of cramps and twinges in the first few weeks after I got my positive test, some even woke me up in the middle of the night. I think things are just stretching. Mostly they felt like period cramps, but occasionally would get a sharper pain, not all day long, just on and off. So it can be very normal I think.

I've just had an email from ASOS 25% off all orders for 24 hours, am gonna do it!

hanflan · 08/06/2014 07:23

Thanks zermatt! It's so exciting but also a pretty scary time isn't it? Just have no idea what to expect!
Ooooh I could do some serious damage on ASOS right now!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 08/06/2014 07:24

hanflan I'm pretty sure lots of odd twinges are normal.
Brody hope spotting has stopped and you're doing ok. You've had some good advice from ladies so can't add much more except my best wishes

poly hope MS stops soon! Glad that you've had such a lovely weekend telling people.

Zermatt you are the cake queen! If my craving for cake ever returns I'm coming round to yours.
Exciting making a maternity clothes order. Is there a shareable code for 25%off?
I'm a size smaller than when I had DD so will need new maternity trousers at least!

Is migraine like headache anything to do with pregnancy? Had to retreat for a lie down with it yesterday afternoon. I blame the hormones!

Zermatt · 08/06/2014 07:27

The code to put in at the checkout is YOURULE then it docks 25% off all the full priced items, not sure if that's just for Aussie customers or worldwide, but worth a try. I am worried I'm jumping the gun buying stuff as haven't had 12 wk scan yet (it's this Friday) and every time I think I might be getting a bump it disappears in the morning.

Unfortunately I think migraines can be a preggo symptom, make sure you're drinking lots of water and getting some rest.

mrshjb · 08/06/2014 07:31

I didn't have any cramps but I had a lot of twinges at the beginning and still get the odd few now. I panicked at first thinking it meant ectopic but I get them on both sides so think it probably is just stretching! I've had headaches too, I think it's probably all the hormone changes!

Ooh didn't know ASOS did maternity clothes :)

mrshjb · 08/06/2014 07:54

My friends in RL assure me that at some point I'll start sleeping like the dead. However, at 6+4, I'm sleeping rubbish. I'm either sweating like mad or having to get up to wee. Will it get better?!

bellaboo88 · 08/06/2014 08:04

Han that's the only thing I've got too, weird ache period type pains. Otherwise I'm symptomless. Cake I love, never been huge on cheese & Marmite can do one.

I've spent so long focusing on getting the line I haven't thought about what comes next lol. Dp says I'm windy lol xx

broodysnoopstie · 08/06/2014 08:23

Morning ladies just to say thank you for all your support. Spotting stopped last night but today has started again and i've still got cramps. I'm just going to see how it goes and call doc if it gets worse. DP says if people say it's normal it's normal and is being all confident about it I'm scared to go to the loo for fear of it changing and seeing red! You are all lovely Thanks for keeping me company in my terror last night xx

RetroHippy · 08/06/2014 08:25

broody, hope the spotting has eased up now. If not, I'd call 111 and see if you can get a referral for an early scan for reassurance.

I've bought what to expect, your pregnancy week by week and a three pack of non-underwired bras (bliss!). I'm not counting the odd baby-gro I bought before we even got our bfp! I hid them in the loft Wink

mrshjb, I am having very odd dreams, and waking up in the night and early morning for a wee, but had been feeling pretty energetic until last night, when I had to go to sleep at 6:30. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, so think the tiredness may be starting to kick in. Hoping the ms doesn't follow! So far I'm getting away with constant gnawing hunger pangs!

RetroHippy · 08/06/2014 08:26

Cross-post broody, take it easy today. Do you have much to do?

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 08:29

I had constant AF type cramps for the first couple of weeks. I think it's pretty normal with all the stretching etc.

Normal service has resumed in the loo this morning. (TMI) I was hoping the diarrhoea had gone but I seem to have just saved up 2 days worth! Not pretty!

I haven't yet bought anything! I was waiting till after my scan. I'll probably go and get a few mat clothes this week but I think Baby will have to wait till after my next scan. Sorry Baby Hmm

I forgot to say a big congrats to all the newbies yesterday! Looks like June is going to be a good month for the ttc bus! touch wood

Poly how long have you had bum vomiting? I've had it past couple of days :-( xx

mrshjb · 08/06/2014 08:57

I had it pretty bad around the late 4 weeks stage. Have you tried pro biotics? Helped sort me out in a couple of days!

lindamagoo · 08/06/2014 09:00

Broody I'm 8 + 5 and I've had some bleeding/spotting on and off for 3 weeks now, had an early scan because of it and baby is fine, it's really quite normal Smile

mrshjb · 08/06/2014 09:01

Broody- men seem to be able to be so much reasonable about it all. Probably because they're that little bit more detached and also not feeling all the hormone changes etc. So probably for once in our lives we should listen to them! Relax and rest as much as you can :)

lindamagoo · 08/06/2014 09:02

My friend gave us a baby changing station with bath Smile it's got pride of place in our livingroom and I'm getting butterflies everytime I see it Smile

Zermatt · 08/06/2014 09:11

Just placed my final order, didn't bother getting jeans, will wait until the bump starts coming out and will try some on here. Worked out to 100 pounds for 7 things, I think that's ok, but don't tell my husband, yeah?

Good job zermatt ! I'm currently scoffing lemon drizzle cake and working out how much time I have before dd gets up (best bday present ever: still asleep!!) and if that's enough to make the coconut cake...will chance it!
I just tried the asos code but sadly it doesn't work Hmm
I bought a load of stuff from M&Ps yesterday after someone mentioned their sale! £59 and free delivery for two tops and a dress: not too shabby!

Dh really wanted to tell all our friends last night, but I didn't. Funny, isn't it? I kind of didn't want the attention. I think I want to put the focus on the fact dd will no longer be an only child / will be an older sister / will have a sibling rather than mememe/I'm pregnant etc. which is the absolute opposite of how I felt last time! I also ate sushi, undercooked beef and took a few sips of various alcoholic drinks yesterday... Bad.Mum.

Broody , I really hope the spotting stops. All the advice you've had us great. I'm keeping everything crossed that it's nothing sinister.

Poly how exciting to be telling everyone! I think I want one of these cute tshirts too, seems like a great way to involve dd!
