Can't really think of anything to buy this bean as we have everything I can think of.

We'll prob buy it it's own special blanket and teddy after the 20 week scan

I think there will be more buying for DD as baby will inherit her room and furniture so she will need a new bed and things for her new room.

I might need maternity bras soon as boobs are killing by end of day

RetroHippy · 07/06/2014 20:45

Gosh, went for a nap at half 6... Just woken up! The last week is obviously catching up with me.

freneticfox · 07/06/2014 20:47

Feeling pretty low tonight... I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and this is my second night of really horrible nausea. Last night I didn't get to sleep until nearly 4am and every time I lie down I just feel sicker. It seems SO early to be feeling this bad?

To make matters worse, I'm a recovering emetophobia sufferer, so while I'm not panicking (yet!), the thought of this getting worse in the upcoming weeks is making me feel very upset and weepy. Bit of a sorry-for-self post, apols :(

htbftm · 07/06/2014 21:47

No wonder you needed the rest Retro!
Yuk fox - not good! Tho they do say it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy, so fingers crossed for you! Have you worked out if you have a trigger for the nausea? I'm expecting dc4, but never had nausea before, but for me it is actually my body telling me to eat! I just have to ignore the fact that food is the last thing I want to think about and just get on with eating it, and it does help me! I can feel nauseous every 2 hours, if I don't eat, but get to go longer in between sometimes! They say ginger biscuits help and someone told me today to try soda water. x

fancyacupoftea · 07/06/2014 21:47

frenetic book an appointment with the doctors. Explain your situation and they might prescribe anti-nausea. Really hope it's just your body getting used to the hormones and the nausea isn't here to stay!

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 21:50

Please help I'm freaking out. Been to toilet and brown discharge in knickers.. still there when I wipe. Is it blood? ??

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 21:58

Hellllp!

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 22:01

Broody, everything I've read says brown is nothing to worry about because it's old blood. It can be left over implantation or something like that. Don't blame you for being scared, but I think as long as it's not red it should be absolutely fine.

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 22:03

oh my god ok thank you I hope your right
a little bit terrified I got my bfp 2 weeks ago feels like implantation would of been ages ago I'm 7weeks on tues..

sammyj85 · 07/06/2014 22:04

broody try not to worry, I haven't had any experience of this but I've read lots of women's accounts of spotting while pregnant. From what I can gather, brown is ok but if it gets heavy, clotty or red it might be an issue.

Do you have a midwife yet? If so, it might be worth giving her a call. Hugs x

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 22:06

I've done a bit more googling now and it said as long as you're not cramping it should be fine too. Yeah I know what you mean. My sister had bright red blood between 6 and 7 weeks and the baby was fine and they told her it was implantation. Doesn't really make sense but it seems to be a common explanation. If it's still there on Monday you could ring the doctor?

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 22:09

thanks both. I don't have a midwife I'm still waiting for booking in appointment. I've got period like cramps but I've had them a lot.. it is heavy but definitely brown not red. Sad

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 22:12

and i've got lower back pain.

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 22:17

Is there a 24 hour midwife number you could call? I'm sure when I initially phoned mine it gave an out of hours number on the voicemail. Totally up to you but if I was me I think I'd need some reassurance?!

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 22:21

I haven't seen a midwife at all yet. They are supposed to contact me first.. I'm still waiting. I don't know how to find their number. Google??

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 22:24

Yeah Google is probably the best bet. Sorry I'm absolutely rubbish, I'm early on in my first pregnancy too and don't know much more than what Google tells me.

CagedMango · 07/06/2014 22:24

Broody-I had implantation bleeding and then brown spotting at 6ish weeks. It really worried me but hasn't been a problem so far. I phoned 111 and they were rubbish but I think the message was call back if I was still spotting after a week or it got much heavier. Hope you are ok.

CagedMango · 07/06/2014 22:25

You could call 111 if you are worried-they had a doctor call me back.

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 22:27

mrs h you aren't rubbish just having someone reply is brilliant. Mango Thanks. I'm waiting for dp to get home from work and then if it is still going I think I'll call. I don't want to do it alone!

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 22:30

Good luck and I'll keep absolutely everything crossed for you. I'm sure in most cases it's absolutely nothing to worry about at all.

PolytheneGirl · 07/06/2014 22:30

Hi all. Just checking in, both the signal and water are awful down here!

Thanks for all the lovely comments on the scan pic. It was amazing! So lovely to see my little bean and a lovely strong heartbeat. Bean was very active and she struggled to get measurements because it just wouldn't stop moving. Even the sonographer commented "blimey, this ones going to be a handful!"

We've had an amazing weekend telling all the family. It's so nice to hear how happy everyone is for us after worrying for 8 weeks and it's been astonishing just how shocked people have been.

Happy Birthday Mlle! I hope you're having a lovely weekend! Cake

Broody try not to worry. I had a little bit of brown discharge and spotting at 8 weeks and everything is fine. Have you got a mw yet? If you have I'd give her a call just so she knows and you may get an early scan. Hope it stops soon. Thanks

broodysnoopstie · 07/06/2014 22:35

Thank you all. Poly glad you had some spotting too makes me feel a bit calmer..

fancyacupoftea · 07/06/2014 22:39

Broody try and stay positive but when your OH gets back and you're still worried then give 111 a call, that's what they're there for. I'm hoping it clears up though so you don't have to.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 07/06/2014 22:41

Broody - I had loads of brown discharge at the beginning. Brown is fine, if it turns red or there's pain call someone. Equally, if it's really worrying you, call. If only to put your mind at rest.
