Glad you survived Retro! Well done - its so traumatic!!! Great news on the scans Poly and Calling! Little wiggle beans are so cool - mine waved at me too, and at one point did a head stand! Congrats Fox and Sammy and welcome! Happy birthday Mlle! - hope you have a fab weeekend!!
We told immediate family at about 6 weeks, inc my grown up children. Again we felt we'd tell them if something went wrong anyway. I told work about 7 wks so we cold plan for next academic year, but haven't broadcast it to the world yet!
PS - love cheese - cheddar mostly and hate marmite! :-)

Viperama · 06/06/2014 22:42

Lovely Poly how many weeks are you now?

fancyacupoftea · 06/06/2014 23:37

It's been the nausea tonight. I've been so lucky so far and the past couple of evenings have been nasty. On the Jan group others are talking about it getting bad at 9/10 weeks due to a hormone surge. I've been struck down too!

What are your birthday plans mademoiselle? Happy birthday!

Well done retro you deserve a bloody good rest this weekend. Have you still got lots to do round the house?

poly can't believe how clear that picture is! Really lovely to see.

MrsBeeBeeBee · 06/06/2014 23:41

frenetic I've got really painful boobs this Eve and have just been moaning to hubs about how bloated I feel could be the curry

poly what a fab scan pic. Yey.

I had the odd bit of queasiness but no proper morning sickness last time. I really really really hope it's the same this time. Although I don't remember painful boobs last time!

sammyj85 · 06/06/2014 23:54

What a lovely scan picture poly!

htbftm · 07/06/2014 04:34

awake.com Boo! :-( Might put an OBEM on...!

MrsGingerbread · 07/06/2014 06:52

Pops in to make sure her seat is still waiting for her

Awww, Poly, gorgeous scan photo. :)

Have you guys given your bump a name?

fancyacupoftea · 07/06/2014 07:31

Good to see you MrsG we're still keeping your seat warm! How are things?

We've named ours Pickle!

Zermatt · 07/06/2014 07:42

Hi Mrs G, Mines called froglet.

Love the cake photo MrsBee

And totally fab scan pic poly so pleased for you and lovely to be able to tell everyone at last :)

I've just been mountain biking, feel best I have in weeks.

MrsBeeBeeBee · 07/06/2014 07:42

Haha cupoftea my 2year old is still called The Pickle now! (Because she is a pickle).

MrsBeeBeeBee · 07/06/2014 07:45

Oooh wow, get you Zermatt. With biking is the idea that you're prob ok to do it as long as its comfortable? (I'm talking a leisurely cycle here, not the tour de France). Hubs plan has always been to buy we a nice new bike for my 30th birthday later this year and I'm hoping I'm still ok to use it!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 07/06/2014 08:00

My cousins little girl is now always called pickle as that's what she was called when she was just a wee bump!

MrsBee- i think as long as you don't go crazy biking will be fine. General rule of thumb - don't start any new exercise plans, continue with what level you were used to before pg and don't go crazy.
I fully intend to get back in the gym after 12 weeks. Went swimming on Thursday which was lovely but a bit boring!!

lindamagoo · 07/06/2014 08:07

Poly what a fab scan pic Smile

MademoiselleG · 07/06/2014 08:17

Oh I love a good scan picture, what great news Poly !

Birthday plans: my favourite brunch place this morning then nap Grin then drinks in one of the towers, sushi samba or aqua. Think just dh and I otherwise it'll be reeeeeally obvious if I have one mocktail then want to go to bed. Tomorrow: big picnic with pimm's Sad and strawbs and cake with all our friends, with or without babies. Should be fab!!

I'm awake now and v excited. Can a 33 yo still get excited on her bday?

MademoiselleG · 07/06/2014 08:23

By the way *Zermatt+, lemon drizzle is the cake in this house so thanks for this recipe which I hadn't tried out yet: I'm about to!
And well done for the cycling!!

Zermatt · 07/06/2014 08:28

Happy Birthday MelleG I can confirm that yes you most certainly can get excited on your birthday at 33 :) sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned.

I've been swimming a few times in the last 6 weeks english and agree it can be a bit dull! it's all I've felt up to though, am going to try and stick to a rule of at least 30 mins activity each day starting from today. Even if it's just a walk. I might join a local antenatal aqua class when I get a bit further along.

Agree with what English said about cycling mrsbee I read as well that you shouldn't try to overdo anything, if you didn't go running before getting pregnant now isn't a good time to take it up, but a bit of light cycling should be fine, just drink lots of water and take breaks if your heart rate starts getting a bit too high. I'm so unfit at the moment, I really struggled today but we did some really easy trails. My biggest fear was falling off so I was a lot slower than usual.

lindamagoo · 07/06/2014 08:30

So we have our nieces birthday party this afternoon and the poor wee thing came home from school yesterday with chickenpox Hmm OH and the boys have never had them but desperately still want to go to the party Confused Is it true that once the spots come out the virus has gone?

fancyacupoftea · 07/06/2014 08:49

Happy birthday Mademoiselle!!! That sounds like an amazing day, what's the brunch place? I'd love to go for dinner up one of the towers, I'd consider it for DH's bday in a month but he's terrified of heights!

fancyacupoftea · 07/06/2014 08:49

Don't know about the chicken pox I'm afraid Linda!

bellaboo88 · 07/06/2014 09:19

Just reserving my seat, had two very faint squinty bfps this morning, very excited to join you all soon! :-) xx

RetroHippy · 07/06/2014 09:29

Happy birthday MlleG, sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned.

Congrats BellaBoo! The BFPs are rolling in for June now Grin

htbftm · 07/06/2014 09:36

Yay Bellaboo! - Congrats and welcome aboard! xx

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 10:22

Should really have joined when I got my BFP but I've been a bit nervous! I was on the May bus and got my BFP a couple of weeks ago. I'm about 6w3d (based on when I think I ovulated not lmp as that would put me much further on!) Lovely to read all your stories and I especially love seeing the scan pics :)

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 10:26

I've added myself to the stats- hope that's ok!!
