I know this probably is a popular question, but when did people start telling family? I'm only 5 weeks on Sunday, but I can't wait to tell my Mum. My Dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly 18months ago and we've both been trying to find a new normal and look to the future; I can't wait to share this news with her.

Glad scans went well Calling and Poly and welcome Sammy.

I told my parents at 6 weeks as I would have told them if anything went wrong. We told the rest of our immediate family and a couple of friends at 9 weeks after an early scan then most people at 12 weeks. It's very personal so if you want to tell your mum, just do it.

With DD and this little bean we'll be waiting until 13 week scan to tell everyone. Except my sister. We're extremely close and I told her straight away both times.

Fox we didn't tell anyone till after our 12 wk scan today but last time we told our parents straight away. There are no rules, do what feels right!

Frenetic - i've told my mum only. She's on strict instructions to keep quiet. I've got my second reassurance scan next week, which if all being well will result in a scan pic going in my dads fathers day card. Everyone else will wait until 12 weeks. I'm most excited to tell my nieces!!

I'm addicted to crackers spread inch thick with Lurpack....mmm!! Need to curb that one!!

Meant to be going to a school function for students later. Just woken from my nap and feel grim so don't think that'll be happening but feel well guilty.

Congrats fox and sammy! We told both sets of parents after an early scan at 6 weeks, bf at 8 weeks and people at work on a 'need to know' basis which has somehow become 6 already. I don't know why but I don't enjoy telling people though!

Frenetic I'm totally different to everyone else! I couldn't keep my mouth shut and told everyone straight away, I'm not good at keeping my own secrets, lol

linda, I'm glad I'm not the only one... So far I've told the mentalist who bought my house, three people at work, two friends and my parents. DH has told his parents, his brother and his wife, two people at work and one friend.

Well, the big 'O' has gone! I survived, hurrah! Can't say how we did, just in case anyone puts two and two together, but we're all very relieved it's over!

Tiredness or sickness?

Has anyone in here been suffering much with sickness?

All day I've felt like my boobs are just so uncomfy and I'm super bloated... normal at 5w?!

No nausea today for first time in a week. But I have the hunger. I can only eat little and often and no sweet cravings, so weird!

Thanks Mlle, I do feel totally wiped out now. Got a feeling I've been running on adrenaline, certainly for the last week. Very much in need of a lazy weekend now. Though I know I'll be awake at 4am, 5am, 6am tomorrow.

I suspect the exhaustion will kick in next week, 7 weeks Monday!
