Can you tickle yourself Poly? (sounds rude)

What you going to knit?

RetroHippy · 04/06/2014 17:48

Oh Fuck. Ofsted. Shock

CallingAllEngels · 04/06/2014 17:58

Oh bugger retro

fancyacupoftea · 04/06/2014 17:59

Fuck, your school were right! They were coming this term!

Good luck, hope it goes well.

Knottyknitter · 04/06/2014 18:05

Retro, I'm sure it will be fine. How long till they arrive? Mum used to get oodles of notice, but I think they come a bit quicker now, which might be better as less time to get wound up.

Vent as needed, we're here to help!

CallingAllEngels · 04/06/2014 18:16

Over here I had to give DS vitamin K for the first 6 months I think (should check my notes!).

CallingAllEngels · 04/06/2014 18:25

I'm planning birth centre. Home birth is very very normal here but I don't fancy the mess, plus my ILs are our ndn, on the other side of the wall so I DON'T THINK SO!! Birth centre is only 5 mins away and withina hospital so am in easy reach if it all goes pear shaped. Labour with DS was pretty quick and I wasn't offered any pain relief, not even gas and air (think it's the Dutch way!). I didn't poo myself but only because I had the runs in the early stages of labour - my body preparing by getting rid of all the shit first Grin

I did have to have an epiostomy though and they gave me a local ananaesthetic for it. Until the next day when we talked about the birth I presumed she'd used a scalpel till DH went white and told me the mw used a pair of scissors! He wished she'd told him so he could look away...I think he was emotionally scarred!

CallingAllEngels · 04/06/2014 18:26

Sorry that was rather graphic Blush

PolytheneGirl · 04/06/2014 18:32

Yes Fancy I can barely touch my own feet! It's a nightmare. Sometimes I can't even put them under the quilt at night!

I need to learn to knit before I can start a project. Can wait for DS to go to bed!

Uh oh Retro! When are they in? Good luck.

In at 8am tomorrow. Currently stuffing down a ginsters before embarking on a mammoth marking session. At least my planning is all done now and my classroom looks ace thanks to my TA. The circle of 'folk in the know' has widened after I cried on the deputy. She has assured me she'll keep shtum!

This time Friday... It will all be over. Shame I can't drink though Sad

Tilly28 · 04/06/2014 19:40

Oh retro good luck! The build up to them coming is horrible, as is the constant door watching whilst they are there but by Friday it will be over. Will be thinking about you!

barmybunting · 04/06/2014 20:37

Oh heck Retro, what a pain! I hope the next few days go well! Our head keeps threatening he reckons they will be coming to us this term and I am just hoping against hope that they don't because he retires in July so hopefully they will only come when the new starts in Sept. The dreaded call!

barmybunting · 04/06/2014 20:45

You all amaze me with your cheese love, I am impressed! Anyone want my ration to? I hate the stuff!

Re birth options, I would really like a water birth at our local (1 hour away) midwife lead centre but at my 12 week scan I was I was likely to need a planned c section for medical reasons so I will find out more at 20 weeks scan in 3 weeks which will let us plan a bit more.

htbftm · 04/06/2014 20:56

Yikes retro! Will be thinking of u! xx

MrsBeeBeeBee · 04/06/2014 21:28

Hello ladies! I'm shimmying over here from the June bus.

EDD: 9th Feb.

Hope everyone is doing well xx

fancyacupoftea · 04/06/2014 21:33

Welcome MrsBeeBeeBee! I love new graduations.

Do you like talking about food? What are your cheese views? Have you ever heard of a cheese savoury?

Not a test, it just gets stuff out the way now.

fancyacupoftea · 04/06/2014 21:33

Oh, and what about marmite on toast?

lindamagoo · 04/06/2014 21:34

Hey MrsB Smile welcome aboard

I had a shot of my friends Doppler tonight and after what felt like forever I caught the tiniest glimpse of my little sea monkeys heart rate Smile 193 bpm, was so exciting, the best split second in time ever, lol

fancyacupoftea · 04/06/2014 21:37

Amazing Linda!!

lindamagoo · 04/06/2014 21:39

Took ages to get it though fancy so I'm not going to do it again for a couple of weeks so it'll be easier by then

PolytheneGirl · 04/06/2014 21:44

I know it's WAY too early but I think I can feel a wriggler! Shock

Welcome MrsBee and congrats!
