Right now I'm pretty sure it's a Big Mac and strawberry milkshake!
This baby is going to come out with high cholesterol!

Hi MrsBee, Congratulations! Feb is a brilliant month to have a birthday!

fancyacupoftea · 05/06/2014 07:03

Good luck today retro! Hope you got all your marking done.

MademoiselleG · 05/06/2014 07:59

Gosh retro , that's crap...big good luck, positive vibes and hugs and vent away!!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 05/06/2014 09:20

Thanks ladies.

To answer important questions.
Yes I like talking about food.
I love cheese... But not weird cheese.
I have heard of cheese savories.
Marmite is gross.

I have some concerns this baby doesn't like cake. I was a bit distracted at work yesterday so went on a cake mission. I found myself at a lovely bakery and thought "I don't feel like cake". This has never happened to me before. I bought a sandwich. Please tell me this isn't the end of cake for 9 months?
Today I'm going on another cake hunt. I will eat cake.

Zermatt · 05/06/2014 09:52

Congrats Mrs B, I hate marmite too :)

Re cake - I've gone off sweet things in my first trimester, and have read that an old wives tale says you crave sweet food for a girl and savoury if it's a boy.

I'm convinced I am having a boy, not so much cos of the old wives tale but just had a strong feeling since I saw the BFP.

I hope you get your cake mojo back very soon, life without cake is very dull!

PolytheneGirl · 05/06/2014 10:25

Officially 12 weeks today! Someone flip that magic switch! [hopeful face]

Good luck today Retro! Hope all goes smooth!

I would love there to be some dragon multiples!! I'd happily volunteer if I could!!Grin

Knottyknitter · 05/06/2014 10:29

Hi mrsb

May help to think of the cake issue as a good thing - in the future "no this is mummy's cake, you don't like it" ? I'm having the same issue with chocolate.

retro hope all going well. Please survive to fill us in later!

linda what doppler do you have? I'm umming and ahing about one (could maybe convince myself its for work....).

lindamagoo · 05/06/2014 10:41

Knotty it's a Hi-Bebe Doppler

PolytheneGirl · 05/06/2014 11:45

I don't want to jinx it but I'm actually feeling ok Shock I even just changed a poopy nappy without gagging! Grin

broodysnoopstie · 05/06/2014 11:46

Congrats Mrs Bee. I love marmite on toast. Good luck Retro. I would like a Doppler when I'm further along but don't know if DP will think it's worth the money

broodysnoopstie · 05/06/2014 11:47

Happy 12 weeks Poly. Wish I could fast forward to that!

lindamagoo · 05/06/2014 11:52

Yay 12 weeks already Poly Smile How exciting.

Re-the Doppler, I don't think I'd buy one, borrowed a friends but if I had my own I'd probably become obsessed with it

PolytheneGirl · 05/06/2014 11:58

Thanks ladies. It's been a long and hard 8 weeks. I'm very hopeful that things are going to start looking up now. Scan tomorrow Grin eeeek!

I'd love my own doppler but I completely agree I'd be OBSESSED! It's so reassuring to hear that heartbeat though

lindamagoo · 05/06/2014 12:01

What time is your scan tomorrow Poly? My bf has her scan tomorrow aswell, it's sooooooooooo exciting Smile

PolytheneGirl · 05/06/2014 12:08

Well it's supposed to be 2:20pm but I know this hospital.... It will be later! I'm prob going to be stuck there for quite a while as I have to have bloods and see the specialist mw afterwards. I'm just going to want to get home to tell DS! I am both nervous and very excited!

sazzlehopes · 05/06/2014 12:51

Happy 12 weeks Poly and welcome MrsBee.
I lost my cake mojo before 12 weeks and it did indeed turn out to be a boy! But you'll be pleased to hear I now have it back and just food in general seems to be going down a treat!
Look forward to hearing about your scan tomorrow Poly!

PolytheneGirl · 05/06/2014 13:07

I've just realised how gutted I'm going to be tomorrow if they put my dates back and I'm not 12 wks anymore. Looking forward to telling the family now.

I hope you're doing ok Sazzle. I remember with DS that the second half went really quickly. You'll have your little boy in no time now!

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 05/06/2014 13:08

Sounds like it could be a long afternoon for you Poly, well actually it'll be a long afternoon for us all waiting to hear how it goes Smile

Zermatt · 05/06/2014 13:09

Good luck for tomorrow Poly, so glad you have your appointment at long last :)

sazzlehopes · 05/06/2014 13:15

Thanks Poly it is indeed flying by now. I thought it was fast first time, but this time with ds to look after and busy with freelance work it is flying past! I think Summer makes it go quicker too...Winter months can feel long and drag so I reckon it'll be mid september before I know it and baby boy no2 will be ready to arrive! It is so exciting but I'm nervous too! I worry I've forgotten what to do!

broodysnoopstie · 05/06/2014 13:20

Maybe we should all chip in for a penis dragon doppler that we have to share around the thread around country taking it in turns so we can't get obsessed.. bet I would not want to give it up when it's end of my turn I'm not craving sweet things like usual not actually off them though. Good luck with your scan tomorrow Poly

PolytheneGirl · 05/06/2014 13:57

I'm hoping it's like riding a bike Sazzle!

You wouldn't see that Doppler again after my turn!!
