Wowsers-what an ordeal! At least she's here safely and you're now enjoying cuddles with your little one! When u say she went from b2b to op, what's op? Can't figure that out!

My little one is playing some right games! I don't think she's ever going to drop. She's definitely moved lower & is more engaged. I feel her wriggling down! Getting lots of BH now and back pain so hopefully won't be long til she starts things for real! 38+1 and still time for that early arrival I've been wanting!

Think dh has agreed not to go to Kent on weds too-just told him outright I don't want him to. He's been great!

mrshjb · 26/10/2014 08:23

Lolly your pamper night sounds lovely! Hope you're having a great time in Scotland, the journey there doesn't sound particularly fun though. I would have had to stop for soooo many wee's in that time!! Yeah I agree, I think back pain and being tall does tend to go hand in hand, but I've never had it as bad as I have through pregnancy.

binky That sounds like a serious hard work birth. I also can't figure out what the 'ob' bit means?! I can't believe it took them 4 hours to give you an epidural in that amount of pain. It doesn't really sound like you had particularly good care up until the theatre bit? Did you just have DH there? How did he find it? I'm so focused on how it'll be for me, I forget sometimes that it must be hard for DH to see you in so much pain.

Misskgb aww you're so so close now. When did you start getting the BH? Yeah I think it would be sensible for him to stay close by now. It would be awful to miss any of it! Which football were you watching? My DH was watching errrm... was it Barcelona and Real Madrid?! I have no interest whatsoever in football though so I went and watched some Gavin and Stacey in the bath :)

binky would you still feel bad telling us whether mrsb had a boy or a girl?! I'm dying to know and it doesn't look like she is going to appear any time soon?! I wish Kiki hadn't of disappeared either, it would have been nice to hear what she had :)

Anyways, hope you all have a lovely Sunday xx

OP posts:
misskgb · 26/10/2014 08:38

Oh h-im massive football fan. We run our own Sunday league team so will be off out shortly. Yday we watched sky sports news with our bets (I only put £1 on-keeps it interesting) and then Leicester were on live, though it wasn't a great game in the end!!

Tbh I've been having BH for a few weeks but only ever 1/2 at a time. The last few days they've increased in intensity and where they occur but have still not made me think I'm in labour. I think that's my personality tho-I've got a high pain threshold, don't like a fuss and don't want to get excited until its happening for real so in a way am ignoring anything thats not too troubling!

mrshjb · 26/10/2014 08:57

Hopefully your little girl will be a football fan as well then! My dad used to play professionally and then has been a coach ever since, but neither me or my sister are interested. I can't understand why people take a game so seriously. I think if it was stripped back to the basics of people playing a game and others going to watch for enjoyment I would be fine with it, but I find the whole culture of what it has become a bit too much really. Each to their own though and the Sunday league stuff is much more what I think football should be about.

Haha well that bodes well for your labour then! Would you class them as painful when they come or just uncomfortable? Everyone I know who hasn't been crazy early (27 and 33 weeks) with their first has gone overdue, so I really hope you can give me some hope that I might not be waiting too long. The suspense would really get to me!!

Sorry op is optical traverse, she was ready to try and come out head down but facing sideways Shock TBH the hospital were amazing, my midwife kept going to get the anaesthetist (sp?) but emergency sections took priority. The MLU care is another story, I had a few days of issues with them and it scares me to think what might have happened if I went home last Saturday.

Can't believe it's already a week since it all happened! I'm just sat with her cuddled on my chest and I can't explain the love I feel for her, it makes me want to cry! I'm so soppy Blush

mrsb had a little boy, seems to be doing fine I'll message her and let her know you all want to hear from her.

Also would love to hear from Kiki, I hope she's ok.

binkybunny · 26/10/2014 09:32

misskjb best way is not to get too excited about bh, I drove myself crazy in the last few weeks with false starts!

it will be so lovely if your lo is a footie fan too. We'rd hoping Issy is a climber/ snowboarder/ surfer so we can all go together Grin

mrshjb · 26/10/2014 15:44

Ah right, never heard that before. Did they know that she was in that position before you went in to labour or was it a last minute turn kind of thing? Yeah I suppose I am thinking about it being a maternity ward but obviously there is the whole of the rest of the hospital to consider as well. Do you think you would have felt more confident with a hospital based mlu or would you just not consider a mlu at all now?

Aww bless that's so sweet. I can imagine it just feels really surreal to be holding the little thing you've been carrying for all those months?! I still can't get my head round there being a person inside my belly, don't think I will until I actually see him!

Thanks for the update, I thought she would have a girl for some reason! So just chilly with the surprise baby now then. Unless any of us have something different to what we've been told!

Have you had a lot of visitors binky or are you trying to pace it a bit? I don't know whether I would want a lot of people at the start or not?! Probably depends how the birth goes and how I was feeling maybe.

Bh have not been painful, just tightenings in my tummy that come & go

So been in real pain today. Doubled over this morning with constant pain in the right side of my tummy. Went football & struggled to walk at times. The footballers faces were quite concerned bless them! It eased off during the game so about 4 hours later but by 4pm I'd only felt her move once

Rang mau & they asked me to go in. Mw was lovely. Sent urine off as lots of positives in there (not unusual) but a bit of blood (that is unusual). Monitored me for about 50 mins. Everything looks ok & is leading to early labour pains so sent home with the reassurance to call if anything changes or if she doesn't move. Not convinced I'm in labour so just gonna eat bath sleep & relax

If I can come early H I will, even if it's just for you!! :-)

People have asked about visiting us once she's here. I've said both parents & my 2 sisters can come straight away once we're home (presuming it all goes ok) & then we'll play it by ear with everyone else. Lil sis said she won't bring the 5 sprogs straight away! !

binkybunny · 26/10/2014 19:50

FX misskjb that it's the start of something, let us know!

H they only told me she was b2b when I got to the hospital, she was op for the last few appointments. I'd def go to a mlu within a hospital, but prob not one that meant an ambulance ride (not that I'm ever doing it again!)

We had my parents here until yesterday, which was a great help. People tried to pop in but thankfully we were out. I've got fed up of a few people texting everyday so just ignored them and started having visitors round yesterday. I'm really sore and on lots of meds so can't really be bothered with them too much!

mrshjb · 27/10/2014 08:05

Oooh how exciting misskgb. Really hope you've had some development over night. I would really appreciate it if you could delivery early please!!!

Ah right, it all does sound very stressful. Do you not think you'll have another then binky?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, my mum, dad and sister can come and then my husbands mum but other than that I would want people to hold off for a bit until I felt a bit more normal. Plus I'm planning on breast feeding so not sure I'd be too comfortable on whipping my boobs out in front of DHs step Dad or brother etc!! Are you breast feeding binky?

OP posts:
misskgb · 27/10/2014 14:08

I'd appreciate an early delivery too! Nothing else to report here-the wait continues!

mrshjb · 27/10/2014 15:13

How are you feeling? Still getting the pains?

OP posts:
misskgb · 27/10/2014 18:19

Nothing that makes me think I'm in labour & nothing as bad as how I felt yesterday morning. Still lots of little signs that things are happening but it still could be a while yet so not getting my hopes up!

Put an extra chilli in my casserole, about to go for a walk with dh & will be on my ball after too.

What signs did u have pre labour those of you who have your bundles of joy??

binkybunny · 28/10/2014 06:43

misskjb I felt really irritated and couldn't get comfortable. lots of back ache, but could have been because she was b2b, and lots of pressure in my pelvis and hips. Hope you get your early delivery!

H I'm ff, I bf for 24 hours but a combination of a bad latch leaving my nipples bleeding and generally struggling after such a long labour, I decided to move to ff. I was quite upset and it was a difficult decision, but I was avoiding feeding her because of the pain, so the best decision for both of us.

And yes, no more for me! We had always said one and seeing as we have created perfection, we'll leave it at that Wink

mrshjb · 28/10/2014 08:22

misskgb it does sound like things are progressing for you so fingers crossed for an October baby for you!! Did you ever get started on your footballers wives?!

Yeah I've heard a lot of people say just how hard breast feeding can be binky. One of my friends got an infection in her nipple and she said that she was awful. I'm intending to breast feed but I'm not going to put myself through it if it's not worth it, especially when you've had a traumatic birth. Awww love the perfection comment :) any more pictures to share?!

A lady in my yoga class gave birth last week. She was in labour for 6 hours, had a water birth and only gas and air. It was her first as well and she was really overdue, apparently she said she had a lovely experience! So hopefully it can be done!!!!

misskgb · 28/10/2014 10:37

Ooooh I'm saving footballers wives for when little one arrives. Tbh ive not watched much tv yet. I'm having long morning lay ins as my back/pelvis pain is giving me interrupted sleep but then I'm trying to be mobile during the day

Bh getting more frequent but not increasing in intensity & not becoming regular. Went for a 35 min walk last night & thought things were moving as had to stop a few times but still nothing!

Binky my friend tried alternating a ff & a bottle of breast milk but even then she couldn't supply enough to keep up so don't worry that u had to change your plans. Like u say, best decision for u both! :-)

misskgb · 28/10/2014 12:43

Just been to mw. Worried about risks of pre eclampsia as urines are showing lots of things. No other symptoms so got to look out for them & call up straight away if worried.

Babys growth, heartbeat & movements fine so that's good. My bp is up for me but not an issue as its usually really low. Oh the things we endure for our babies!

Lolly84 · 28/10/2014 19:40

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of chat!!

Have kept up with what you have all said but not responded yet!!

Hope you are all great, Misskgb I am hoping things progress for you xxx

Had such a lovely weekend, what was supposed to be a quiet lunch with a few of my friends turned into a full blown surprise baby shower with my friends and family. Was so lovely, we had lotsof games and my little man got completely spoiled. Don't know what I am going to do with all his stuff eek. Going to have to organise all stuff into months.

35+4 today and feeling a few aches and pains in my hips. Not good, think it's with driving as te joint I use for clutch is sorer than right joint. 1.5 weeks left of work. Can't wait.

Hope you are all well

Xxx

misskgb · 29/10/2014 10:46

Binky-did u have a show or waters break?

binkybunny · 29/10/2014 11:17

A little bit of show during the day I was contracting but nothing major til I was in hospital just before my epidural and after 2 internal examinations, then it was huge! They had to break my waters after my epidural. I didn't feel or see anything but DH saw quite a bit which was 'interesting' according to him, although not as bad as when he turned round the next day and saw them carrying out my placenta! Shock

misskgb · 29/10/2014 12:07

Hehe. I'm not looking forward to delivering the placenta, sounds gruesome!

Dh is adamant he's staying at the home end during the labour. He's notsqueamish but says there's no need for him to be down there!!

binkybunny · 29/10/2014 13:25

DH was at the top end, the Sat him in a high backed chair facing away, but someone dropped something and he turned around to the noise just in time for a good eyeful, yuck! Glad I didn't feel or see anything!

misskgb · 29/10/2014 14:52

Haha that's funny! My health visitor just called. She wants to come meet me next week before baby is born. I asked if that's normal as wasn't expecting it. She said it's something they've been trying to do since April. Just to get to know me, answer any questions & so it's not as scary meeting her once baby is here. Anyone else had anything similar?

Lolly84 · 29/10/2014 21:17

Not heard of anything re health visitor...

binkybunny · 29/10/2014 22:06

misskjb we've just been signed over from mw to hv but no pre visit either. I'm not entirely sure what the hv does Blush.
