Happy due date weeb love the photo of you dp and lo and you look great!

Lolly I just sat and cried my eyes out at that YouTube clip, it's lovely Smile

mrsb87 · 30/09/2014 15:36

Happy due date wee! Sounds far too energetic to me, hope you had a lovely time!

mrshjb · 30/09/2014 17:08

Haha Lolly I watched that thinking how American and cheesy, whilst crying my eyes out! It is very cute :)

Lovely pictures weebairn, your daughter is so cute! Your bump is lovely, it's really neat!

Come on babies, I'm dying to know what you both are!!

misskgb · 30/09/2014 17:12

That was cute, especially as it was a girly voice!

Come on babies!! Hope it's not much longer for you both. I'm so hot atm I can't imagine being full term.

34.3 and midwife check went well this morning. Measuring 34.5 so bang in the middle. I'm so excited to meet her!!

binkybunny · 30/09/2014 20:28

Just showed the YouTube clip to dh and cried my eyes out again Blush

mrshjb · 30/09/2014 20:32

Haha I daren't watch it again binky! I loved the bacon bit though, I did have a strong taste for salt at the beginning, still very partial to salt and vinegar crisps!

Every time you say how far gone you are misskgb it always shocks me! Do they really press on to measure your uterus? I don't understand how they can compare bumps of very thin women and very overweight women by the same standard?!

Lolly84 · 30/09/2014 20:33

Happy Due date weebairn! Ur daughter is super cute!!

Ah ladies glad it wasn't just me who cried at it. I was having an off day yesterday and when I saw the video It changed my mood completely!! I know pregnancy has a lot of downs but it really is wonderful isn't it. To think what we are doing growing a life. It's incredible!! Xx

misskgb · 30/09/2014 22:14

Yes lolly as dh says 'how does sperm make a human being?!'

Haha h I know-can't believe there's not long left!

They measure from the top of your uterus down to your pubic bone so it's only your growing bump they measure. They can tell where the top of your uterus is by feeling. You'll be able to tell yourself soon!

mrshjb · 01/10/2014 07:42

Yeah I can easily tell where the top of mine is. It's so weird looking when I'm laid on my back! I just thought it would be different for someone who was very overweight!

Do any of you remember if you had days when baby was less active at my kind of time?! (23 weeks today). Didn't feel him much yesterday afternoon or evening and was a little bit worried!

OP posts:
binkybunny · 01/10/2014 07:47

H yes I did and still have some quieter days and they really scare me. If you are worried call triage/ midwife, I've been in for monitoring 3 times so far since 30 weeks and they are lovely about it. Or have something ice cold and/or fizzy to get the baby moving.

weebairn · 01/10/2014 08:36

Baby Abby born last night at 10.20pm on her due date (and toddler's birthday!)

She weighed 8lb 9oz which is almost 2 lb more than toddler did, no wonder bump felt massive! Home birth all went well, no complications, I am very lucky and we are a very happy family this morning xxxxxx

Awww congratulations, she's gorgeous :) fantastic news on the decent home birth and wow that's a good sized baby!! I can't believe you have two children born on the same day, odds of that happening must be very low!!

Enjoy :) xxxxx

P.s. Thanks binky, I've felt him kick a few times whilst having my porridge, but I'll have a fizzy drink later and see how I get on. If he doesn't move much again I'll ring the midwife. I'm sure they'll tell me not to worry at 23 weeks but that should my mind at rest for a bit.

Wow congratulations to you all Weebairn!! Abby is gorgeous! Amazing!!

Helen I was on and off with feeling movements at 23 weeks. I just started I feel him at 22 weeks. A very cold drink and lying on my side for an hour does help!! Have u been busy? Sometimes I think being busy distracts you from feeling anything which in turn makes you think he hasn't moved. My little man doesn't get active until after work (or so I think) but is very active all night even during night. My friend is opposite but think that's because she is at a desk and I am very active at work. Who knows!!

I say go with your gut instinct with calling midwife.

I had a silly moment the other night, I had a very active little man and then I had a massive sneeze and he stopped moving for half an hour. Thought something bad happened. As if a sneeze would harm
Baby lol x

binkybunny · 01/10/2014 09:13

Congratulations weeb she is gorgeous! Hope you're both doing well and enjoy your new born snuggles Smile xxx

mrsb87 · 01/10/2014 09:30

Congratulations wee! So jealous. Of your snuggles. I'm getting uber impatient now!
binky you are banned from having your baby before me now, even if you "accidentally" have it, I don't want to know Wink lol.
h they start monitoring movements about 28wks I think. If you're concerned though ring them, they will probably tell you to have a hot/cold drink and lie on your left side and see what happens and ring them back. Fingers crossed he gets going again Grin

misskgb · 01/10/2014 12:15

Congrats weeb- very cute indeed and like mrsb, jealous!!! I bet we all get even more excited about meeting our little ones!

H- I said to my mw yesterday that I have some quiet days. As the others have said, it's sometimes due to not noticing the movements (dh tells me little lady woke him up kicking, and I slept right through it!)

MW said once you've got a pattern, that should stay and so if you're worried about anything outside of that pattern, even if baby does move, then we should call. Mine is awake at meal times and I've learned goes freaking mad for a bit of chocolate!! Other things are hearing whistles (sporty child already!); cold drinks and laying on my side, like the others. It's the pattern that's normal for you and so if you're worries, make sure you call (advice I havn't taken myself but will do from now on)

mrshjb · 01/10/2014 13:10

Thanks for all the comments ladies, I really appreciate it Smile I think the problem for me is that because of my stupid placenta I've not been able to pick up a pattern yet so I was just worried because he hasn't moved as much last night as he did the night before. Fortunately I've felt him move a good few times this morning, so hopefully he was just having a lazy day!!

haha thanks lolly! cute h! you seem to be moving through the weeks at a rate of knots- 23 already!!

People are starting to take bets on whether I'm going to be early or not. They say I'm too happy and calm for the baby to come early which is a good thing I suppose, but I want her here!!!!

COME ON MRSB & BINKY!

mrsb87 · 02/10/2014 14:00

Ugh at 40+3 this "bump" Is a monstrosity!! I have just been delivered a gym ball by my lovely dh to try and bounce this baby out!!
