Good luck Emily!!! Grin

I had a curry last night, really looking forward to it, especially as I haven't felt sick all week. Got half way through and then projectiled it all back into the toilet Confused nooooo. Really hoping it was a one off and not a return of the vomiting Hmm

miraculous2 · 24/05/2014 12:43

Hello!

Joining this thread as I was given EDD of 7th Dec yesterday. But I'm having ID twins so plans will be from 36 weeks.

Anyway, just delighted to get this far and begin to share the excitement a bit more!

Smile
CatFaceCrayola · 24/05/2014 13:00

Welcome and congratulations miraculous

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/05/2014 14:23

Wow, I haven't had nausea this bad for ages. I threw up bile when I woke up and I threw up my tablets when I took them a couple of hours later. Now I'm sitting in Costa while DH has his hair cut trying desperately hard not to throw up again. Come on second trimester, only three weeks to go!

oohdaddypig · 24/05/2014 15:13

emily very best of luck! Fingers crossed for you.

Hello and huge congrats miraculous

Feel horrendously sick at mo too. Bloody wet dog smell in the car is retch city

espa · 24/05/2014 15:17

Never been so glad to get home. 12 hour flight was fairly uneventful although food was poor so didn't eat much. Hungry by time we got bus to transfer to Heathrow in bank holiday weekend traffic. Slow journey meant we were cutting it fine for the flight though. But we made it.

HOWEVER why does pregnancy reduce me to being mortified in public so often?! After the morning's bus exploits I got off the bus at Heathrow and promptly threw up. So embarrassed. Suspect DH was too. :(

Still feeling pretty rough today but hoping once I get properly fed and a good sleep tonight I'll be better.

Bunnycomb · 24/05/2014 15:43

Hi,
I'm another newbie on the thread - EDD 4th Dec.
Got my scan on Tues - nervous!! Very excited to have got this far but a lack of sickness etc (you'll probably say I'm lucky) makes me worry there is something wrong - keeping everything crossed :-)

DrewsWife · 24/05/2014 17:45

hi girls, just getting over a second pretty painful UTI urgh.... cant logon with my mobile for some reason and spent a few days in bed

just going to read back and see weveryones news

natashaarr · 24/05/2014 17:57

emily how did your scan go?

miraculous congratulations!! I'd be so excited for two!

CatFaceCrayola · 24/05/2014 17:57

Had to go to emergency dr. Rash continuing to spread. All up my face now and I fear I'm overheating as the rash is so so hot.

severe allergic reaction is all she can say.

given me steroids and antibiotics. I repeatedly asked if they were fine in pregnancy. She assured me they were, but I still feel nervous.

DH was just reading through side effects "we wouldn't know anyway...you have most of these as pregnancy symptoms anyway" made me laugh

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/05/2014 19:19

That sounds miserable, Catface! I'm sure they wouldn't have given you anything dangerous during pregnancy. I hope it clears up soon!

CatFaceCrayola · 24/05/2014 19:21

Me too...it's not much fun at all.

miraculous2 · 24/05/2014 19:51

Bunnycomb, I know how you feel - last 2 weeks before my scan most of my pg symptoms had gone and I thought I was imagining the rest! I know it's daft to worry because I'm not feeling ill but someone had said something really stupid and got me worried... Anyway, it's a lot happier sitting this side of the scan, not long for you now.

I just went to do a food shop wearing a jumper I had on two weeks ago with a super-synching belt... no belt now, just the beginnings of a twin bump looking a bit bloody obvious! I'm going to have to come clean at work next week. We're a team of five - one just left, one is on mat leave and one is going on mat leave in July! Oops...

I'll have a read through the thread later to catch up on how you've all been.

X

SassehMonsta · 24/05/2014 20:34

Hi ladies
Scan update
Heartbeat 150 bpm which is fine
Dated one day ahead at 12+4
Have been told baby has exomphalos and generalized edema. Exomphalos is when the belly button hasn't closed so the intestines are outside of the body. This should have closed up by now but still could in time. If not then baby would be born with bowels externally requiring an operation after birth. Generalized edema is fluid under the skin on the baby which can indicate other problems. Or he said it could just go away. The sonography said I will need to see a consultant, took my number and either said I would get an appointment in a weeks time or someone would call me in a weeks time with an appt.
It was wonderful to see the baby but I am so worried about what might happen.

Ladylel · 24/05/2014 21:06

Just wanted to report in. Married without a hitch except getting hitched! We did announce are news, it went down really well. Lots of shocked faces but everyone is ecstatic quite a few knew we were expecting but not with two. Speech went something like 'we are expecting our first baby, shortly followed by the 2nd....' Gasp, silence, realisation kicking in, more gasps and then lots of cheering and clapping! Couldn't have asked for. Enter. Honeymoon tomorrow.
Wishing you all the luck with scans and screenings and for some the start of the 2nd trimester. Thank you for your kind words xx

Ladylel · 24/05/2014 21:07

Our* also dress fitted fine, stomach larger but not noticeably unusual to normal... :)

ffallada · 24/05/2014 21:07

Wow emily
What a roller coaster you've been on today. How are you feeling now?

stripeymonster · 24/05/2014 21:18

Emily - you poor thing, that sounds like a very stressful day. Hope you are ok? Sometimes I think the shock of these things is the worst part. After we had some unhappy news this week - it has taken a few days to sink in but now trying our best to stay positive xxxxx

Somersetgirl1990 · 24/05/2014 21:22

Sorry to hear that the scan didn't go as well as hoped Emily, is it quite a common thing to happen?

omama · 24/05/2014 21:23

catface sounds awful u poor thing! My friend had similar itchy rash during her 1st pg, think for her it turned out to be the cocoa butter she'd been applying. Fx'd the medication does the trick

miraculous welcome & congrats on twins! Do they run in your family?

Oh Emily sounds like its been a tough day. Will you need to have further tests? Its easier said than done but try not to worry too much until you know more. We're all here to hold your hand.x

oohdaddypig · 24/05/2014 21:39

Just popping in to pass another hand to hold emily. It doesn't matter how much reassurance you get, you just need more info. I hope you can speak to the consultant soon. I am thinking of you xxx

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/05/2014 21:40

I feel really fluey :( Shaky and cold and miserable. I've been a bit sad all day, can't put my finger on a definitive reason, but I really hope I'm not getting poorly, I can't afford time off work :(

oohdaddypig · 24/05/2014 21:47

peace first tri is truly shite. I have cries three times today. Are you cold? The sickness makes me shiver. Can you bed down with a hot water bottle? Do you maybe have a UTI?

ots · 24/05/2014 23:26

Sorry your scan didn't go as well as hoped Emily . Hopefully you will have more info asap.

Feeling a little worried this evening. Had some bleeding a couple of weeks ago along with cramps so was referred to the EPU for a scan where everything was ok. Sonographer could see no cause for the bleeding, but said it may happen again but I only needed to call if it was enough to soak a pad in 30 mins. Had some reddish blood tonight, just when I wipe. Its gone now and I have no pains but can't help panicking. I'm 8 weeks and would have been on my period if I wasn't pregnant and I have read that this is quite common. Think its called breakthrough bleeding. I just can't help thinking the worst :(
