Ahh! Ladylel have an amazing day! Hope it's lovely weather where you are - it's nice here today so far!

Feeling rubbish again this morning, despite being up & having my meds and some dried cereal. Slept well for a whole 20 mins until a neighbour knocked on my door asking if I had a strimmer at 9.20 last night!!! Then took hours to get back to sleep again. Booo. Was going to try to go into work today but I just can't face it yet. This first tri SUCKS!

10+4 - bring it on 2nd tri!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 23/05/2014 08:30

Omg Ladylel what an amazing week you're having! Have a great day :)

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 23/05/2014 08:35

Good luck with the scan Somerset! I am exactly the same excited and dreading my scan tomorrow at 11.20!!! So worried there is going to be something wrong.

Lady hope you have a fab day! What a lovely time you are having at the moment :)

I woke up in the night with the worst pain in my bank, it was like a constant menstrual cramp but in my back cue the paracetamol and hot water bottle I managed to get some sleep. The most bizarre pain! Felt like something was pushing on something it shouldn't

Bettycakes80 · 23/05/2014 09:09

Congratulations Ladylel! Enjoy your big day.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 23/05/2014 09:52

Imbrian I didn't comment on your beautiful scan pics! They are wonderful :)

What's your googling unearthed is it possible to tell so soon?

Ladies that have had scans what can I expect tomorrow? How long? Do I need full bladder etc? I am really hoping that my mum can swap with oh for 5 mins so that she can see the scan it's her first grandchild and we are so close. Hoping I don't get a snooty one that says oh and mum can't swap for a few mins will really upset me

oohdaddypig · 23/05/2014 10:13

Good luck somerset thinking of you.

Beautiful scan pics everyone! Delighted at all the happy news.

ladylel enjoy your day - what a week you are having! Are you telling any of your guests?!

Somersetgirl1990 · 23/05/2014 10:24

Everything was fine! Grin So cute, was sleeping for most of it, woke up and had a bit if a wiggle and wave! We didn't get pics though because their printer was broken Hmm but they're sending them out to us. Am measuring 11+5 which puts my EDD at 7th dec, my mums partners bday Smile
Blood test was horrible haha. I'm such a wimp though, it seemed to take forever, apparently it was only about a minute. And when I move I may have to have them done again Confused spoke to mil and she said my dp is rhesus negative though so that's good! Hopefully no extra injections for me Grin
Is anyone else having their scans today?

Somersetgirl1990 · 23/05/2014 10:25

Emily my scan was about 15 mins I think, I didn't have too full a bladder because mine starts to hurt if it's too full but she didn't mention it so I'm guessing that's fine Smile I would have thought they'd let you swap people, can't see why not

ffallada · 23/05/2014 10:28

Hay Ladylel
Have a fantastic wedding day.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 23/05/2014 10:31

Glad scan went well Somerset :) how annoying about the printer!! Hope the pics get sent to you ASAP! Do you feel any more pregnant now you've seen your bean? What dates did you think you were? Have they moved you back? My midwife said that unless they are 7 days out they will stick to 3rd dec!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 23/05/2014 10:56

Anyone else suffering with back pain?? Just starting on me again after having me up last night :(

12+2

nickyjlees · 23/05/2014 11:35

Yay, great news somerset! A huge relief eh!
I'm trying to keep myself occupied with cleaning etc until our scan this afternoon.
emily my hospital lets you take up to 2 people into the scan with you so I shouldn't think it will be a problem esp as it's your mum. They must just get her to wait outside whilst they get the first few checks done but I'm sure there would be no prob in her coming into to join you both after that.

Bettycakes80 · 23/05/2014 11:55

At my scan they seemed pretty laid back, Emily I'm sure they'd be fine with your mum popping in. Didn't have a totally full bladder and they still got nice clear images too.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 23/05/2014 12:13

Nicky best of luck for your scan later luckily mine is 11.20 tomorrow so plan a long lie in before so I don't stress!! On my letter is says only one can go in but I'm hoping them switching won't be a problem just for my mum to get a quick peek :)

nickyjlees · 23/05/2014 12:17

Thanks emily :) I'm sure it won't be a problem for you at all tomorrow, exciting!

Somersetgirl1990 · 23/05/2014 13:32

Thanks everyone Smile well by my lmp I'm 12 weeks today but my reassurance scan put me back 3 days and today that moved forward a day so not far out! It's weird, I feel like I can relax more now but it was really strange seeing the affect just me moving about had on the baby, I suppose it's really hard to link the two things together

porsmork · 23/05/2014 15:30

What lovely news Ladylel, congratulations on twins! And on getting married!!! I'm getting hitched in a month or so, hoping I won't have too much of a bump so my dress still fits. A few weeks ago I tried it on with a bit of padding in the belly area and it seemed to be Ok!!!! Slightly terrified about all the flying... Getting married abroad then honeymoon elsewhere. Hopefully I'll be blooming by then instead of the mess I am at the moment.

Hope you feel better soon Spider, I'm tucked up on the sofa this afternoon (made it out of bed, massive achievement!) with a film and lots of fruit. Hoping that little one isn't feeling the flu!

Xx

oohdaddypig · 23/05/2014 15:34

somerset yay! Brilliant! X

KildaTiffany · 23/05/2014 15:49

Only been lurking on thread3 having signed in on thread2 back on 26 April but not active since.
signing out now anyway. 12 wk scan today showed growth stopped weeks ago and no heartbeat. Tried to delete my line on the stats page but couldn't work out how so just changed the name box to "delete this line" - if anyone knows how please could you?

natashaarr · 23/05/2014 15:54

kilda I'm so sorry to hear that! Did you not have any bleeding or anything? I bet it was such a shock. I hope the after math goes easy on you as I'm going through it and it's horrible! Sending you lots of love!

omama · 23/05/2014 16:12

So sorry for your loss kilda, hope you've got lots of support irl it must have been a big shock.

Congrats to you other ladies who've had scans today, lovely to see your pics! And lady wowee double congrats in order today - a wedding and twins! What fabulous news!

I'm 12 weeks today & have 6 more days to go til my scan. Not that I'm counting it down or anything!

Glad to hear others are also having flutters & that I'm not the only one bursting out of my clothes Wink

CatFaceCrayola · 23/05/2014 16:34

Just had booking appointment...so much information!

Need to book scan now but will have to wait til Tuesday :(

Bit worried about dates. The first midwife I saw (with her silly wheel thing) put me as being 2 weeks ahead of where I'm pretty sure I am. I tried to tell her this but her response was "well we just have to put an edd down". I'm pretty sure I'm 9+5 but on all the paperwork I'm 11+5. Mentioned it again today and she said "a few days out won't make much difference" but will 2 weeks??? If I have a scan slightly before 12 weeks will it cause issues?

LisaC2611 · 23/05/2014 16:36

Sorry to hear about your loss Kilda.

Double congrats Lady twins and a wedding!

I had my booking in appointment this afternoon - didn't actually know it was my booking in appt so dh didn't come, as they called it the family history taking appointment - all went well. They are happy to class me as low risk (which was a relief) so means I can go to the midwife led unit. I did think that they would make me be consultant led because my BMI is over 30 but apparently it is only over 35 in our area where you are consultant led.

Asked me a very strange question as to whether me and dh are cousins - err not as far as we are aware!

Can't wait for the scan now 12 days to go. Am 10+4 today.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 23/05/2014 16:36

Cat, you are dated from the first day of your last period, so this is normally around 2 weeks prior to the actual conception. Is that what's causing the conusion?

I'm so sorry to hear your news kilda, I hope you have lots of support around you. Sad
