Welcome to the never-ending first trimester, and maybe some of us into the second trimester this thread?

So sorry for your loss, Natasha Sad

I've missed a couple of days so need to catch up! Feeling fairly rotten with MS and very very tired but waking early. Have the 2nd part of my booking in appointment today so need to clean the house before the MW arrives at 2 so she doesn't realise how grubby my house is!

mopsytop · 21/05/2014 09:44

Emily my tummy definitely expands during the day. Looks fairly normal in morning then is proper little roundy pouch by evening Sad

Scan one week today. Very impatient...

porsmork · 21/05/2014 10:27

Hi All,

Hopping on this thread! Due 12/12/2014! Got a dating scan in about two weeks, 2nd June. Feeling very anxious whether everything will be OK. I'm feeling pretty crap, taking a couple of days a week sick/working from home due to sickness/ tiredness and having a cold. Trying not to feel too guilty about that (some reassurance stories would be nice!).

Anyone else at the same stage?

DrewsWife · 21/05/2014 10:33

my tummy expands too in the evening, which isn't fun given that i work nights. there is no hiding it now. I am just heading soon to have my booking in appointment with the midwife. I am 9+1 eeeeeek. feeling reallllllly worried that i have a problem i dont know about. been soooooooooooo tired and dizzy lately.

well if she comments on how round i am i will cry lol...

mopsytop · 21/05/2014 10:42

Drewswife I felt massively dizzy/exhausted until a week or two ago (now 11 weeks). Think is fairly common in first trimester. So don't worry too much!

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 21/05/2014 10:59

natasha they only start investigating after 3 mc, and ectopic doesn't count Hmm. Mc are unfortunately common, and mainly due to genetic typos, it's a cruel lottery and nobody's fault. The fact that you did manage to get pregnant naturally twice (although with tragic outcomes) is a good sign (I can hear you scream, I did too when the ivf nurse told me that after my mmc and 5 years TTC). If you are worried I would talk to your GP, depending of your circumstances, age, years TTC, mc, etc, they might refer you for fertility treatment, they first do all sorts of test to check for any obvious problems, the waiting can be quite long so best to jump on the wagon now and jump off later if you don't need it. And I really hope you don't need to go down that route. All the best, and let me know if you have any question. Take care

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 21/05/2014 11:04

Welcome porsmork, due 11 dec, and worried like most.

PunkyPod · 21/05/2014 11:20

Omama I am definitely feeling the baby move. Started at 11+0 and now at 12 weeks I'm really real little kicks. It's exactly the same as with dd and I felt her at 15 weeks.

Scan tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12+3

PunkyPod · 21/05/2014 11:27

Emily has the bleeding settled again? I hope so?

Paranoid nice to see your name pop up again. Hope everything is going well with you?

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/05/2014 11:28

Glad to hear I'm not the only fatty come evening lol

12 weeks today - that's if my bleeds aren't anything to worry about. scan on Saturday can't come soon enough to make sure everything hunky dorey! Can't wait to see my oh's face and reaction at the scan :) this time in 3 days I will be being scanned! Exciting!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/05/2014 11:29

Punky I also swear that I can feel tiny movements - perhaps we are more in tune with our bodies?

Yep bleeding stopped as quick as it started! I w

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/05/2014 11:30

I wonder if I will have the same tonight at first wee when I get home!! Lol

Somersetgirl1990 · 21/05/2014 11:31

I'm so stressed out and am probably being a bitch due to "hormones" but can someone tell me if I'm being a dick or whether this is justified....

My dp and I work very different shifts so I work in the afternoon, he works from about 3 until 11 - doesn't get home until nearly 12. So the only time I get to see him is in the morning. He's very competitive and goes through phases of trying to be the best in whatever he chooses at that time ie the gym, his dad is a bodybuilder and he's always been around that sort of lifestyle, is quite big and is good at lifting weights Hmm so about twice a year he'll become fixated on being as "ripped" as he can, will go the gym for about 2 hours everyday without fail, eats crazy diets that must be eaten at certain times of the day or else the whole day is a right off, spends copious amounts of money on protein shakes and supplements, then after a while loses enthusiasm and stops completely.
His latest phase is golf. Literally every single day he's at the driving range, he has to buy all the best equipment, he's having lessons every week. It's driving me insane. Am I just really unsupportive?? The only time we get to see each other is the morning and he's fucked off to pay to hit balls into a field.
Sorry for the self indulgent post!!! Hope everyone's well Smile

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/05/2014 11:32

Welcome porsmork! I hope I spelt that right?!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/05/2014 11:35

Somerset there is nothing wrong with having hobbies but it sounds like your oh isn't giving you any time of day when you need it the most at this time! Men just baffle me sometimes!

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 21/05/2014 12:01

Wave at punky all good so far, we saw HB at 8 & 9w, but waiting anxiously for 12w scan next Friday, 9 days to go.

somerset the way you describe it, he sounds a bit obsessive and I understand it must be hard for you. Have you talked to him, maybe if you explain that you need his support right now...

Here, it's operation camouflage every morning cos I know I'll look like a whale by lunchtime Grin I've eaten so much lately, I need to get a grip!

porsmork · 21/05/2014 12:02

Hello! Nice to meet everyone, and good to know there are a few other people feeling worried too.

Somersetgirl1990, agree with Emily, that it's good for him to have hobbies, but I imagine you could do with some extra support from him at the moment, not to mention when the baby comes! Maybe he's upped his hobbies because he's a bit worried he won't have the time again once baby arrives?

Anyway, perhaps you can reach a compromise where you agree to 3 mornings together a week where you have some quality time before work, even if that's just having breakfast together or going for a walk. And then he can still go to the driving range/ or similar, on other days, but knows to be there to support you at the same time.

Do you have any hobbies that you can indulge in while he is away?

Treaclepie19 · 21/05/2014 12:05

Had my scan. Best it could have been really. They said the tissue and sac have gone. Just blood and a clot left which they said will just pass. Means I don't have to have further intervention.

Hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies, I will lurk to keep an eye on you all :)

PunkyPod · 21/05/2014 12:23

I can't get chocolate digestives or hob nobs dunked in tea out of my head. It's consuming my whole brain!!!!!!

Lovely to hear things are progressing so well paranoid.Smile

PunkyPod · 21/05/2014 12:24

I'm pleased to hear the scan was ok Treacle. Are you more comfortable now? Keep on the painkillers if you need to, you don't have to be in pain. Thanks

Treaclepie19 · 21/05/2014 12:46

Thanks punky, much more comfortable but still in pain today. Keeping on with my co-codamol.

LisaC2611 · 21/05/2014 13:00

Hi Porsmork, welcome to the crazy world of being pg.

I'm due 15/12/14 (although had a reassurance scan at 8 weeks and they put me back to 11/12/14) but waiting for my official 12 weeks scan before I change my dates.

Has anyone had any late onslaught of MS? I'm 10+2 and have been feeling queasy but nothingg major. Last night, whilst doing the ironing, I felt for the first time I was going to vom and then have felt exactly the same this morning, eating has done nothing to ease the nausea Sad

porsmork · 21/05/2014 13:04

LisaC2611

Yay, we're in the same boat! I'm feeling pretty similar. Retching a lot, and sick in the evenings. Food definitely not exciting me very much at the moment, apart from crumpets and nectarines! Trying to keep eating little bits as I think the nausea is sometimes made worse by low blood sugar.

Off work today with a cold and little bit of sickness (TBH, I just can't face the commute!)

Somersetgirl1990 · 21/05/2014 13:53

Thanks for the advice... Feeling very tearful today so that's probably not helping. I spoke to him when he got home and I just don't think he realised that it bothered me. He said I should have just asked him not to go Hmm to which I replied that I want him to want to spend time with me when we can! His golfing hasn't upped since I found out I was pregnant, he's always like it!
I have a horse, so probably one of he most time consuming hobbies going, but I always make sure I ride when he's at work and things like that Smile

Im looking really fat at the minute, I'm sure it can't be a bump already can it!? I'm starting a new job at the beginning of next month and was hoping to keep the pregnancy under wraps but doesn't look like that will be possible for too long!! I'll be turning up in the baggiest of tops to try and conceal it!!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/05/2014 14:04

Porsmork where do you commute to and from? I commute into London from Kent and hate it but especially now when it feels like even more work then just work to get thru!
