Thankyou everyone! Your all really great people and I love catching up with this thread. Feeling ok for the moment as works taking my mind off of it but can't wait for the weekend!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/05/2014 17:43

Sorry to hear your news, Natashaarr :( hope you're alright.

CatFaceCrayola · 20/05/2014 18:12

More sad news :( hugs

I had to give in and go to the doctors with my rash today. Deputy head was lovely though..took one look at it and said "go, I'll cover your class"

Dr gave me some creams but didn't want to risk giving me antihistamines. Cue EVERYONE at work piping up with "ooh I can't believe he didn't give you any, you need some" and even someone trying to insist I take one of her piriton! Rash is still so sore and itchy though.

I was also sick at lunch today, not just my usual retchathon.

not a good day really. And not made any better by coming home to find DH playing computer games after calling in sick because he "didn't feel very well" I wouldn't have been in work for the last 6 weeks if that was the case!!

CallingAllEngels · 20/05/2014 18:29

natashaar I'm so sorry to hear your news. Sometimes the universe sucks.

nicky glad to hear that all is well.

emily anymore blood?

sasseh glad to hear the meds are working!

treacle sorry to hear you're still in so much pain.

Told my line manager and the manager in charge of personnel today so we can plan the timetable accordingly. Feels good to have it in the open. Also managed to get my dsis on skype out in asia so she knows now too. Brought a stack of marking home but can't face it!

ImBrian · 20/05/2014 19:10

Natasharr so sorry to hear your bad news, the miscarriage threads on here helped me when I had mine.

I have my nuchual scan on Thursday and I'm stressing out about it. I'm worried about them finding a missed miscarriage or the tests coming back high risk.

Has any one got there scan soon?

Franklin14 · 20/05/2014 19:28

Natasharr I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Big hugs...

ImBrian I have my scan tmrw and I'm trying to stay calm about it but it's difficult, isn't it? So many unknowns - and all we can do is wait...

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 20/05/2014 19:57

Hi Calling thank you of thinking of me!

Yes blood again on first toilet trip after getting home and half hour later made myself go to the tiolet again and no sign of blood! It's a head f*ck!!!! This is the third time this has happened at exactly the same time of day and then had nothing immediate after apart from brown blood/discharge the day after! I don't know what to think! So glad scan is on Saturday to put my mind at rest. It's not like spotting either which I've had none of it's like that first wipe when your period had started and you hadn't realised etc so really red raw blood! We keep saying about going to a and e but I feel silly when it just stops as quick as it starts! I think I will try and get hold if one of the midwifes tomorrow to see their opinion as I don't think it can be classed as a one off bleed now when it's happen 3 times, exactly the same time of day after I have been to the tiolet! I thought it might be after doing a number 2 and the strain of being constipated but the second time it happened it was after only a wee!! Sorry tmi!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 20/05/2014 20:09

Catface I suffer from horrendous allergies and am taking the piraton three a day on my Drs advice.

So sorry for all those with bad news. Sad

omama · 20/05/2014 20:12

Natasha so sorry for your loss. Agree the miscarriage threads are really helpful, lots of support from people who've all been through the same thing.

ImBrian my scan is a week on thursday. Hurry hurry!

Has any other 2nd timers felt any movements yet? I swear I am already feeling some fluttering. Hmm. Really low down, sort of right behind where my section scar is, & just like a wriggly movement deep inside. Everything I read says it can't possibly be baby this early on & its likely to be wind, but today (sorry tmi) I'd had a bm & was definitely not windy! And I remember the feeling from last time & I swear its the same. With ds, I felt my first flutters at around 15weeks which I think is pretty early for a first time mum, is it possible it actually could be at just 11+4?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 20/05/2014 20:16

I was meant to have scan on Tues but am away on a course so have had to change it. Only date they had was an entire week later so one more week to stress. Sad

Somersetgirl1990 · 20/05/2014 20:21

My scan is Friday! I know it's really silly but I hate having blood taken, has anyone used emla cream? A few people have said you can get it over the counter - I might get some, even if it's just for the placebo affect Confused

monkeybaby2 · 20/05/2014 20:35

I may have made some fat shortbread biscuits this week

I may have not told my DH.

I may be eating them all myself in secret.

(sneaky, selfish me)

oohdaddypig · 20/05/2014 21:04

Oh natasha I'm so sorry. When you hadn't posted I wondered. I had to take the tablet after my m/c. Worked first time and was ok - well as ok as these things can possibly be. Please take care of yourself and we are here for you. Sadly, so many if us have been through it.

I'm having my 12 week scan in 10 days. Yes I'm worried about it too - think we are declining the nuchal bit. I didn't worry with previous DCs but an this time - think because I'm older. Honestly why do we put ourselves through the non stop rollercoaster....

mopsytop · 20/05/2014 21:10

oohdaddypig I too am declining nuchal (did last time also). Can't cope with stress/uncertainty if it came up high risk. Scan tomorrow week. Really want reassurance all is well. Same as all of us.

stripeymonster · 20/05/2014 21:18

Emily hope you are ok ? Sorry to hear you have had more bleeding - hope you get some reassurance soon.

I had my 12 week scan today and all was ok - phew. Moved my due date forward from 4th Dec to 27th Nov - which is strange because I am sure of ovulation/conception dates. My other 2DC were induced at 15 and 17 days late, so it will probably be the same with this one.

Anyone else had quite unfriendly ultrasound staff? I was quite nervous going into the scan which they picked up on but not in a very reassuring way. Kept asking if I had any questions and if I was ok - I just wanted to take in the scan and see everything was ok. Apart from seeing the baby was well and wriggling i'm not sure what else I was supposed to ask?!

Anyway been googling the nub theory and looking at scan pics - but can't see much - think little ones legs are in the way. Anyone else have any gender guesses based on scan pics?

monkeybaby2 · 20/05/2014 21:29

Late to the party with a bump photo, but this is what I'm trying to hide from work at the moment. Think I am still getting away with the 'too many pies' excuse.

Ladylel · 20/05/2014 21:46

Sorry to hear the news Natasha, wishing you a speedy recovery!

I already have a pounchy (can't spell) belly as it is but I've always been able to breath it in fairly flat but not today all of a sudden it's like I've just popped out. I cannot physically suck it in! Ekkk. 12 week scan on Thursday. Found myself getting irrationally hungry too!

12 weeks today!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 20/05/2014 21:58

Bighairy I also take antihistamines daily due to dust mite allergy. I tried a few weeks of not taking them and it was hell so went back to docs she said there is no evidence to say its harmful so my choice.

Thank you stripey will have to try and get hold of a midwife while at work tomorrow!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 20/05/2014 21:59

Anyone else get a rounded belly in the evenings? Gradually over the day it seems to get bigger!
Eek 12 weeks t

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 20/05/2014 22:00

That's meant to be
Eek 12 weeks tomorrow that's if these spats of blood aren't anything to worry about!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 20/05/2014 22:03

Monkey now I must have shortbread!! All your fault!! Mmmmmmmm!!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/05/2014 22:19

Somerset ask the pharmacist if it would be any good? I don't enjoy blood tests, but they don't bother me, so I can't comment, but if it's the same stuff they use on children when they put canulas in before surgery, then yes, it does work!
You'll be fine; look away and think of something lovely :)

KateJ28 · 20/05/2014 23:13

I'm so sorry to hear that Natasharr Sad - how far along we're you?! Like others have said, there is huge amounts of support here for you and, although I'm sure it's horribly hard right now, I really hope it works out well for you and that happier times are on there way for you - and for treacle - very soon Smile

I have a reassurance scan tomorrow (will be 8+3) and feeling more nervous now. Hoping the bean is still clinging on!!!

Treaclepie19 · 20/05/2014 23:19

Hope all is well kate :)

natashaarr · 21/05/2014 06:35

Hi Kate we decided I was 9 weeks but once I had my first reassurance scan just when I was spotting she dated me at 6 weeks but maybe the miscarriage was starting then I'm not sure as 11 days later they could see nothing.

oohdaddypig Thankyou, I can't believe how common it is!

Thankyou everyone, does anyone know when they start doing checks to see if you can carry children? As I couldn't get pregnant for 2 and a half years and then have an ectopic and a miscarriage. I don't want it to happen again and if it does then there's a problem!
