EmilyPinkOrBlue · 17/05/2014 23:32

Sasseh I randomly made rice Krispy cakes for the first time ever last weekend and I'm a baker! They always seemed a bit junior but it must have been a craving of some sort!

ChineseFireball · 18/05/2014 00:21

Oh Treacle in so sorry to hear your news Sad be kind to yourself x

Treaclepie19 · 18/05/2014 00:24

Thanks Emily and Chinese xxx

natashaarr · 18/05/2014 05:27

Hi all, got woken up at 5 with period pains, I stood up and the blood just poured out of me (sorry for tmi) it has stopped now but looks like I'll be ringing the early pregnancy unit today. That's no surprise as I've been spotting for the last 10 days. Fingers crossed but doesn't look good especially as I was due my period today.. :(

Treaclepie19 · 18/05/2014 05:32

I'm so sorry natashaarr
I know exactly what you're going through. My bleeding didn't stop though so hopefully that's a good sign for you.

Look after yourself and let us know how you get on x

natashaarr · 18/05/2014 05:43

Thankyou treacle, I'll let you know later today (that's if they see me today!) You must be so strong, to be giving other people advice while your going through something like that! I don't think id be the same especially after my ectopic in December! But yes fingers crossed it has stopped for good and my little bean has a heart beat! Does anyone know when they get a heartbeat?

Treaclepie19 · 18/05/2014 05:57

Thank you :) I don't feel strong, I think I'm just numb at the moment.

I hope all is well for you. They can see a heartbeat from 6 weeks but I think it's different for everyone.

oohdaddypig · 18/05/2014 06:39

treacle Flowers thinking of you. It is numbing and them, in my case, exhausting. Take care of yourself. X

natasha I hope you get on ok at EPU. That must have been alarming. So good it's stopped.

ChineseFireball · 18/05/2014 06:46

Natasha fingers tightly tightly crossed for you. x

mythical · 18/05/2014 07:40

11+6 today! Scan Friday. A bit nervous xx

mythical · 18/05/2014 07:44

So sorry about your news treacle. Thanks Natasha I know it's hard to keep positive but keeping fingers very tightly crossed for you

Rejjie · 18/05/2014 08:01

Take care natashaarr, I hope it works out well for you.

monkeybaby2 · 18/05/2014 08:34

natasha I had a heartbeat at 5+6 but she told me that was very early to see it. My mw told me that it can be up to 8w though. Hope all is well and the EPU can see you today x

I just got my scan date through for 4 June, hurrah! I have The Fear now though of course as my early scan was so long ago (we held out til 8 weeks last time) and I wouldn't have done it this early if I hadn't been convinced that (a) I wasn't pg and it was some kind of false positive and (b) I was flying to the US for work the next day.

I look way fat(ter) though and have ligament pain and constipation so that can't just be all the pies right?!

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 08:56

Fx for you natasha

treacle give yourself time to grieve once all the physical stuff is over. I second loking at tbe Miscarriage Association website. Last time it really helped me with understanding what was happeneing and processing my feelings (as did the Miscarriage board on MN and the RMC threads, even when just reading and lurking). ((hugs))

First test of 1st trimester lies today . Am supposed to be running a 10k race today which everyone knows about. My running partner inows why I'm not running but her parents don't so don't want to go and watch and lie to tthem. Then we're going to a birthday party of one of DH's friends who will all ask me how the race went. My story is a dodgy knee that flared up this week and I didn't want to make it worse.

Definitely don't want to give the game away

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 09:04

Can't remember who posted it, but my nausea also only goes when I'm eating! So different to last time round with DS - I was off food, cooking smells made me retch, especially sauces and spices - this time I'm craving carbs and salt.

Not sure how much of my maternity wardrobe will fit me from last time as my thighs and arse are considerably larger than 3 years ago so may have to get some trousers. Not big enough for it yet so am going to have to get some trousers in the next size up to see me through the next month (was a 12 before ds, now a 14 but busting out of them!).

My boobs are enormous - luckily I never throw bras away so have lots of bigger ones from the last fews years. Good since by usual everyday ones are flashing quite a bit of nipple!

glad mw appt went well emily . Here we have the booking in at the same time as the 1st proper scan (11/12w). Have you already had your scan?

sasseh glad to hear you're home.

Have just realised that our 11w scan will be a few days before my last pg would have been due (mc in Oct). A little sad, but hopefully also a good sign.

Have a good day everyone.

8w!!!

Treaclepie19 · 18/05/2014 09:11

Thanks everyone. I will be glad when all the physical side is over and I can deal with it emotionally. It's very draining.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/05/2014 09:35

I was wondering why I hadn't had a booking appointment but do have a scan booked, but maybe it'll all be done at the same time, as you say Engels?

Fingers crossed for you Natashaarr. Still thinking of you Treacle

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 09:49

I would maybe ring them and check peace . I'm not in theUK (Netherlands). My booking in appt is 45 minutes including scan. My 8w scan appt is only 15 mins.

Pepsiaddict · 18/05/2014 09:53

Hope everything is ok Natasha - I found it scary when I had pain plus bleeding.
I've put on 3lb since getting pregnant despite not being able to eat chocolate! I'm going to be careful with my weight throughout the pregnancy to make sure I don't put on too much. Last time I went from 8-11st which was fine and I'd be happy with that. however, i want to make sure I don't put on more than that as I really struggled at the end and could feel the effects of carrying extra weight on my joints and pelvis which ended up really sore. The pain was a real incentive to lose the baby weight!

Nausea and food aversions haven't been so bad this weekend which is good (though bit worrying but ignoring that niggle). 8+1 so a fifth of the way through :-)

LisaC2611 · 18/05/2014 10:00

Sorry to hear your news treacle. Thinking of you.

Natashaar hope everything is ok and the EPU are helpful.

I saw my pt yesterday and he weighed me and I was pleased to find out that I haven't put on any weight since the last time he weighed me, 3 days before I found out I was pg. Grin

We were out for the day yesterday and I have decided that pg and long car journeys do not agree with me. Felt nauseous after about an hour in the car and we had a 2.5 hour drive Hmm. Thankfully we broke it up with a wee stop at the services and I bought food to try to take the nausea away but even that didn't work yesterday. Feel fine today thou.

10 weeks tomorrow only 2 to go before we can start telling people. Can't wait Grin

PunkyPod · 18/05/2014 10:39

This is my 12 week bump I'm trying to hide..... My friend on Friday said OMG YOU'RE PREGNANT as soon as she saw me. Just 4 more days til the scan.

Not been keeping up with the thread for a few days so going to go back and read now.

Punky That is so cute! I just feel fat right now. I can't wait till I can tell people "I'm pregnant, not just fat!"

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/05/2014 11:35
