Sasseh I hope you don't need to go in. Would be good to give you a couple of days to let the mess do their work and then see? But Ofcourse your health is a priority and if you need to go In then just let the make you better. Hope you're out for the weekend, it's meant to bea scorcher!

Chilly, that's so frustrating. Can ultrasound dept chase it for you or do you need to ring your mw?

Treacle, just rest up as best you can. It's been very draining for you so you need to recover...

Feel very sorry for those suffering with much bad sickness. I need to count my lucky stars I'm ok...

I spoke to my mw about birth plans and at the moment I'm undecided. I am low risk so should really go to mw led bit but my birth with dd was so horrendous that I am really scared and feel like I want all the medical facilities around me. I have an appointment with the consultant at about 26 weeks to discuss dd's birth and what I want for this one, that'll help me make up my mind.

Got a very gurgly tummy at the mo! And still feel like I can feel the baby moving. Scan in 7 days!!!!!!!!

*meds (not mess)

chillychicken · 15/05/2014 10:20

Antenatal department are going to call me back when they've figured out what the hell is going on. Not feeling overly confident that they will actually call me back, to be honest.

I'm actually really upset Blush I'm now panicking that they're not going to be able to fit me in before I'm 14 weeks.

I'm not sure the hospital can do anything without the midwife referral? I don't know. I feel completely in the dark. Can't concentrate on work, I just want a scan date. Sad

chillychicken · 15/05/2014 11:06

Scan booked for 2nd June Grin I'll be 12+5. Slightly annoying that they couldn't do it the week before...I'm out with friends on the 30th and family on the 31st and it'd be nice to tell them but never mind, I'm just thrilled it's booked and it doesn't actually interfere with my work trip Grin

ots · 15/05/2014 11:13

I've had my scan date in the post today -18th June. I'll be 12+2... Exciting. And doubly nice as it's the day before our 4th wedding anniversary :)

My scan is the 18th as well. I'm booked to give birth in a stand alone midwifeunit. I did have complications after my daughters birth, including a PPH, but they were missed at the maternity hospital. Hope that those that are suffering feel better today - I'm at my most nauseous in the evenings and even wake overnight feeling sick :-(

chillychicken · 15/05/2014 11:55

rejje to answer your earlier question, yes I plan to go to give birth in hospital. We have a midwife led unit there so unless I'm high risk, I'd automatically be placed on that ward.

It's the same distance to the hospital from my home as it is to the local birthing centre but if I needed to be transferred to hospital, it's 25 minutes from the birth centre so I'd rather just be in hospital with the consultants on the next ward Smile

Our local hospital has private rooms available for about £100 a night so we plan on booking one of those, hopefully the one with the birthing pool will be available.

Really crampy today which is odd, first time in a week or so which I've had cramps. Reasonably high up and central which is a first.

PresidentSpreadable · 15/05/2014 13:57

Ah good stuff that you got your scan date chilly, same day as mine!

I'm hoping for the mw led unit at my local hospital if possible.

espa · 15/05/2014 14:14

Thanks for all your reassurance that my little bit of marlin should be okay. Almost had a meltdown last night then hardly ate anything after! :)

nickyjlees · 15/05/2014 15:24

whatsonemore I didn't have my booking appointment until I was 11+1 on Monday and still have no scan date so I know how you feel, frustrating isn't it! Im going to chase up the hospital direct tomorrow, right from the start its felt like theres been too many people in the chain which has resulted in things getting lost or forgotten about :S

Ladylel · 15/05/2014 16:23

One week to go until my first scan, starting to get nervous, feeling alot less pregnant than i have been. Feeling more normal and almost like my old self again.
Sickness is coming to a hault more back to feeling nauseous and at worst retching. Feeling urgh first thing in the morning, have a bit of breakfast feel ok, lunchtime back to urgh until i ear again its only dinner that i think ooo im hungry will have my bigger meal of the day and feel horrid straight after, ick, uncomfortable, windy, crampy.
However my nipples every now and again become incredibly hard and painful, almost like they are too cold! It soon subsides tho.
I was also pretty sure i could 'feel' what i suppose is my womb/uterus but not as prominanent unless i was being a bit more 'aware' about a fuller bladder lol!
I have been getting back ache alot more now and i assume siactica on the horiszon, all in my lower back and hips but especially first thing in morning upper backs achey.

The joys!

Bettycakes80 · 15/05/2014 19:38

Hey PunkyPod I have my scan in 7 days too! Very excited
At my booking appointment decided on mw led birthing unit but it's right by the maternity unity so they can move me if they need to

Also meant to put am low risk so looking at a mw birthing unit on the cusp of new forest, they had deer in the 'brochure'!
only downfall is no doctors and if there was an emergency I'd have to go to the hospital which is only up the road anyway... Also no option for epidural but I'm trying to avoid all big needles where I can so that doesn't bother me.

Terrible picture but I'm a little concerned about how huge my belly is. I'm only 8+4 and it seems enormous. Is this normal?

KateJ28 · 15/05/2014 21:23

Pleased you got your scan sorted chilly! In my experience, calling the hospital direct seems to be the way forward. I called yesterday about my booking appt and found out it's 28 May - nobody had told me and no letter so far, so I'm glad I called... much more tricky with work with if you have no notice. Scan on 20 June...though have booked a private one next week just because I'll be over 8 weeks then, and couldn't face waiting until 20th!! (impatient I know!).

Loving the pics btw - Whatson your kids are sooo cute, but 4 of them!! Wow, I salute you - I'm only on number 1...you'll have to give us newbies some tips!

CatsFace your belly looks fine to me!! I feel bloated too and you have a week on me!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/05/2014 21:30

Wahey my scan date arrived in the post today! 13th June when I'll be 12+1. DH is grumbling about not being enough notice to take the day off work but I'm not listening, I'm so excited!

ChineseFireball · 15/05/2014 21:55

No scans for me yet. I'm really jealous Envy got my MW booking in appointment on Monday though. And then it's only 4 weeks 5 days to trimester two when the blooming starts.

If anyone wants to have a practice run I will gladly offer my toddler up. This morning he expressed some dissatisfaction with an unknown something for over an hour leaving his poor knocked up mother crying hot hormonal tears in the car park at nursery.

Please now imagine that I have said something hugely intelligent and interesting. Thank you. I'm off to my bed. 'Night all Smile

Yes I have a toddler to loan out to anyone who wants to practice too... You can't keep him though, he's too damn cute! Grin
chinese my 3 year old screamed at me for 45 minutes earlier. My crime? I sat down on the toilet rather than stand up like daddy does! What a bitch. It was funny at first but I was a mess by the time I managed to calm him by sitting him in front of Peppa fucking pig!
