At this point, I'm only not poking my eyes out with my nipples because I'm not that mobile vertically. No leakage yet though. TMI?

BlueC2 · 30/04/2014 23:27

Great news ellen :)

We have a baby bjorn bouncer and it is excellent... Got it on eBay and know it will resell for most of what we paid for it too which is a bonus.

I also got an eBay bargain yesterday as our pacapod pod has died but at £25 for one new pod I was hunting around for a hardly used second hand one and came across a whole pacapod change bag plus two pods for £36 which is a great bargain... Just hope it meets expectations in terms of life left in it when it arrives!

Well...I've just had my first trip to triage this pregnancy as have been in such agony with my teeth due to this sinusitis and the paracetamol not doing a thing... Doctor wouldn't give me anything stronger and I burst into tears with the pain this evening. So I rang triage and spoke to a v helpful midwife and they said to pop in and they'd give me co-drydramol which should do the trick...just waiting for it to kick in but I have a box of it now which should see me through til the infection clears. I could've cried again at how lovely and understanding they were :)

Ps well done patchwork must be such a relief to have exams over!

I'm here zing. Heading out for a rare date night in a bit though Wink

BlueC2 · 01/05/2014 02:40

Hi zing I'm here (again!) just wishing the next 25minutes away so I can take yet more painkillers! I've so had too much paracetamol based products this last 24hours but the pain just too intense otherwise! Did you have a DC free day today? Productive? Any news on house exchange?

Plateofcrumbs · 01/05/2014 02:45

Reluctantly I am awake Angry

ZingWatermelon · 01/05/2014 02:47

BlueC2 · 01/05/2014 02:53

Hi plate sorry you're awake too :(

Nancy have a great date night-enjoy :)

zing well done with your list and woohoo to signing!! Love the to do list entry of 'everything' :)

Have decided childbirth far easier than toothache after today and can't quite believe the co-drydamol not fully killing the pain either-no wonder the plain old paracetamol wasn't working! Have had 'fun' trying out DHs saline nasal flush through wash thing though which has given my sinuses a good clean out :) Roll on feeling better though!

BlueC2 · 01/05/2014 02:55

Ps might pinch some of that gin and use it to wash down the next painkillers Grin that should send me off to sleep!

Great to be able to 'chat' at these ridiculous hours of the night though!

Plateofcrumbs · 01/05/2014 02:58

So close zing - how exciting!

I've been awake writing a report - my own fault as I've been procrastinating all day doing everything except the one thing that really needed doing. Now my brain is fired up and I'm not ready to sleep.

Baby is moving so much now, really thrashing and thumping about. Funny how it's much less weird than you imagine it would be.

ZingWatermelon · 01/05/2014 03:01

I'm glad the nose flush worked.
it does get the gunk out - but a horrible experience.

really hope you get better soon.
I forgot - is it your first baby or do you have to also look after others?

NancyinCali · 01/05/2014 03:04

Sorry to see so many of you awake! I'll likely be suffering in a few hours too after eating so late.

ZingWatermelon · 01/05/2014 03:04

plate

mine was doing the cage fighting an hour ago.Grin

what are you writing about? (sorry, brain like a sieve)

OP posts:
ZingWatermelon · 01/05/2014 03:08

Nancy

what did you eat?
I didn't fancy dinner, had Brew and a few bites of Cake - I just can't eat.

you will all hate me but I'm STILL 3lbs less then pre-pg weightShock Confused
despite baby & uterus being average/normal size

BlueC2 · 01/05/2014 03:08

Hope you get the report finished soon plate and that brain unwinds enough for sleep! I find the extensive movements from baby both amazing/awe inspiring that they can actually somersault etc in there but irritating if it wakes me up!

zing this is DC2, DS is 23 months and full of beans with sooo much energy! Been so blessed by DH work who let him have Friday and Monday off (toil and special leave) when I was suffering with cold/low iron levels and he'd booked annual leave for wed-Fri this week for his birthday but has been a miracle having him home as wouldn't have coped otherwise-family too far away to help unless they come to stay!

ZingWatermelon · 01/05/2014 03:21

being ill when pg is shit enough already, but when there are toddlers around.. pfft....

yes, it's great he could be home and take over.

my eyes are getting heavy now (yay! ), see ya later

Night zing

Gonna finish this chapter of my book then try sleeping again myself

icklekid · 01/05/2014 04:15

Morning all!
Well I've had very little sleep, couldn't even keep water down by the end of last night Sad I was constantly sick for hours. Fell asleep sat upright with a bucket besides me... zing also didn't manage tea...

Talk to me about a date at 2am nancy or are you not in the UK???

I don't want to weigh myself- look at the scales in the gym every time but can't change what I eat and having been so sick don't think I want to know! Measuring large is enough to worry about at the moment.

That knitting is amazing mixi ! Will you knit me one of these? www.etsy.com/uk/listing/157819882/pocket-monkey-mini-toy-knitting-pattern I started to learn but am so slow!!! Maternity leave project if not!!! I will happily pay you!

So excited on your behalf about house move zing remember that feeling of relief well!

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 01/05/2014 04:32

Morning ickle and the rest of you wide-awakers. How are you feeling now?

mixi am so impressed by the knitting! I started knitting a playmat back in January. I'm still on about row 7. Blush craft is not my forte!

Good luck with the exchange zing. So close now! Yay!

icklekid · 01/05/2014 04:42

Pretty dreadful although think that is mainly because of being sick so much with an empty stomach yesterday. Absolutely dreading work!

zing your contribution on aibu washing thread made me chuckle! What a ridiculous topic anyway!!!

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 01/05/2014 04:49

Oh no. Rubbish! Sad hope you start to feel better soon.

I'm dreading work tomorrow too. Am working from home again though so at least I can be a zombie in my own home rather than around the office (we've finally got a guy painting our bathroom to make it livable, plus my ankle got worse again after having to walk a bit further than normal during the tube strike). The temptation to just go for a nap when I'm working from home is so bad though...

icklekid · 01/05/2014 04:56

Ohh I think naps should be essential when working from home!

I have 32 8 year olds to keep entertained - will post if I survive later...!

icklekid · 01/05/2014 05:02

Oh and buy keep entertained I mean provide a high quality education of course...Hmm
