lou when I asked her if my dates were accurate she said "um...just go by your last period". She was very flustered throughout the scan so I didnt have much confidence in what she said...

Loulou888 · 15/04/2014 20:30

She doesn't sound very experienced Mum2kiss what a shame for you Sad.

So DH has gone out he does often go to hooters as around corner from work. Today he had to have tickets apparently a friends birthday tonight! Just seen on FB that is only flipping miss bikini night. I'll just sit at home feeling like a fat frump whilst he watches skinny bums parading about. Angry

Definitely time to pull out a big tub of ice cream and a soup spoon lou!!!

The saddest thing about my sonographer is that she was training someone! Dp and I agreed that there was no way that trainee learned anything of use during my appointment!

Loulou888 · 15/04/2014 20:53

A treat is needed mum2kiss

Poor trainee what an experience tho saying that the person who did my scan was as miserable as they come when we were excited to be seeing our baby

Me23 · 15/04/2014 20:55

care I'm glad things are being done quickly for you I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

spsrkle at 12 weeks the organs aren't all visible that's why the 20 week scan is the anomaly scan as most structural defects could be seen by then. My report only comments on the nt and size if baby nothing else.

trouble sorry I couldn't help feeling how silly it was to refer you to consultant over "premature" birth at 36+6 that's just prem on a technicality! What a waste if your (and the consultants) time. We only refer 34 weeks and under where I work.

Had a busy day at work today, back again tomorrow!
Did some sweeps on women today hoping it did the trick and sent them into labour have a good feeling about one of them!

fedupofrainydays · 15/04/2014 21:14

Congrats on all the good news!

And carebear I hope it all goes well for you and they find nothing wrong

I'm now wondering if I should do the harmony test. I got a low risk, but not that low - was 1:760. With DS is was 1:10,000. But part of me doesn't want to know as well. I find all this such a head fuck!

CareBearWithFangs · 15/04/2014 21:42

Mum2kiss, that's really rubbish. It's supposed to be a dating scan, what if you hadn't known the date of your lmp? I don't really know mine. Could you call your midwife and mention it and say it's concerning you, see if you can get another scan. My sonographer didn't tell me my due date because I was a bit tearful by that point but it is on the report I was given.

ExcitedCJ · 15/04/2014 21:45

Hi Fedup 1:760 is a very good score I got 1:400 with my DD & she is a great wee woman!
I am sure all is fine & you will just be spending money you don't need to. The only reason I did the Harmony test was that over here I would not have had any NT scan or combined blood test on NHS, would have had to pay for private Nuchal & there was only £100 difference.
All will be fine.

Captainmcgraw · 15/04/2014 21:55

sparkle so pleased to hear all is ok. I've been delivering training this evening and just got home - first thing I checked was how your scan had gone. I'm getting nervous about my 16week appointment on Thursday. Had my heaviest bout of bleeding today, it started just as I got to work and I ended up crying on my colleagues which was a bit embarrassing. I know with the hematoma I should be expecting bleeding but it still makes me so anxious and I keep getting so worried something has gone wrong since the last scan. I know lots of you have these same anxieties though so it does help and make me feel like what I'm experiencing is normal. Beginning to feel pleased this is probably the last time I'll be pregnant (although before I got my BFP I was of course dying to experience it again!)

pebble82 · 16/04/2014 00:11

So pleased to read about the good scans. Hugs to everyone who's stressed out, the worrying is terrible.

I'm waiting for my downs results too. Measured 2mm at scan on Friday when I was 13+3 (so baby was only just in range for the test) so not too anxious but you just never know.

In other news my natal hypnotherapy book and cds have turned up :-) I've read the first chapter and already feeling way more positive about the birth (I have been a bit of a panicking wreck about it in the past if I'm honest).

fedupofrainydays · 16/04/2014 06:00

captain hope you are ok even though you should 'expect' bleeding with the haemotoma it's still horrible. I would cry too. And I'm also with you on last pregnacy. I wanted 3 kids and DH just 2. I'm not sure mentally I could cope with being preg again - I've been a totAl nut job.

Thanks CJ perhaps I am worrying about nothing but that huge change in risk from my ds has knocked me. I will hold on to my money for now

Emma diary I will get the vouchers but they aren't having my email address!

Loulou888 · 16/04/2014 07:31

Morning ladies I have a 20% off online code for Topshop. It needs using today. They've got a few maternity bits. Just ordered a tankini some vests for holiday. TSTREAT20

Kirstipops · 16/04/2014 07:57

pebble82 I haven't bought the natal hypnotherapy book yet but listened to the CD yesterday, it's early days but I really think it'll be good for me too! Just one listen even made me feel more empowered about it, so there must be something in it!
Hugs to worried mums to be, hope today is a better day x

Hi guys, I have my 16wk checkup today with the midwife. First time meeting her so I will have the fun of explaining the hyperemesis all over again and that I'm still vomiting on a daily basis even at 16+2!

loulou I hope your dh makes you feel special when he comes home from places like that? It seems a little inconsiderate of him to be honest!

ExcitedCJ · 16/04/2014 08:14

CareBear thinking about you this morning. I hope your trip isn't too exhausting and that everything runs smoothly today. Fingers crossed for positive results.

Cherie037 · 16/04/2014 08:56

Good luck carebear with the testing. Thinking positive thoughts for you.

Good to hear your scan went alright sparkle.

Captainmcgraw · 16/04/2014 09:04

Good luck carebear

sazzlehopes · 16/04/2014 09:35

adrielbooker.com/combating-pregnancy-fatigue/

This made me laugh - pregnancy fatigue & 4 year old on easter holidays is not a good combination for me today!

I cant honestly be bothered to actually form words today, feel so guilty about DD as i am no use to her today!!

CareBearWithFangs · 16/04/2014 13:45

So cvs all done now. It wasn't painful just very weird feeling. I'm feeling a bit exhausted from it all though. Really emotional seeing the baby on the scan again, such a strange mixture of the usual joy at seeing your baby but also horrible horrible sadness/fear that something is wrong. I need to go home and curl up in bed. But the plumber is currently tearing out our old bathroom so I can't, boo. Thank you so much for all the support, it means a lot.

I hope everyone is managing to enjoy a bit of the sunshine.

daphnehoneybutt · 16/04/2014 13:47

Thinking of you today carebear Glad its done and didn't (physically)hurt.
