Sorry your going through this stress carebear I have my fingers crossed for you

Magic I to have a stupid amount of hospital appointments and I know there's more to come as the consultant appointment hasn't come yet it would be ok if we were nearer the hospital and didn't have 4 kids to organise

CareBear I'm sorry things are not going smoothly & I will have my fingers crossed for you on Wednesday.
Sending you lots of virtual hugs & Cake & Brew

ExcitedCJ · 14/04/2014 19:59

Hi & welcome FunTimes, your name is very appropriate with a 3 yr old DD already I can definitely confirm there will be lots of fun ahead!
You can't go too far wrong on Mumsnet, just post away & try to keep up, this thread moves fast! :)

STIGZ · 14/04/2014 20:02

Thinking lots of positive for you carebear

Kirstipops · 14/04/2014 20:11

Sorry you've had such a tough time today Carebear Hope your mind is set at rest soon :(
My BP has gone from mild hyptertension at my booking in to the low side of normal today, which was a shock but good! The consultant has given me a repeat prescription for 75mg of aspirin daily since my mum had high bp when preggo with me, anyone else had this too?

OP posts:
ExcitedCJ · 14/04/2014 20:17

Hi Kirsti I'm on 75mg Aspirin too, I had pre-eclampsia in last PG so it is a precaution this time.

I will be chief poster tonight until OBEM as I'm trying to keep myself occupied as Harmony results come back tomorrow! Eeek.

STIGZ · 14/04/2014 20:32

Has anyone seen a consultant regarding having c/section with a previous pregnancy?

I have mine at 20 weeks, just wondering what they discuss with you ? As My pregnancy notes say im a "high risk requiring maternity team care (amber pathway).., i take it this is because of c/sec? as my pregnancy was perfect! .,, sounds a bit scary... "High risk"!!

weebairn · 14/04/2014 20:53

Hello,
I wonder if I could join this group? Baby is due 30 September but my first was 5 days late so I expect this one will be too!

My daughter is 18 months old and lovely, sometimes I feel guilty for being pregnant like I'm missing the good times with her. But I'm sure she'll love having a sibling, and I'm not as sick and tired as I was a few weeks ago thank god.

I feel uncomfortably bigger but I don't really look it - I don't have a bump and I'm wearing my normal clothes fine. I was expecting something earlier second time round but we'll see! How are people finding work? I haven't told mine yet, I am sort of putting it off. I work shifts and don't really want to do any night shifts after about 28 weeks. But I feel a bit anxious about sorting this out and just want to keep everything to myself for now. It was horrendous around 8 weeks the sickness was so bad, but I managed not to have any sick days.

Well that's me, just saying hi :) 16 weeks tomorrow.

gunwalloe · 14/04/2014 20:59

Kirstipops what was your bp? myns usually /90 so they keep saying they will keep an eye on it no pills though.

Stigz im high risk to im having my first planned cs this time as ive had two emergency cs`s . How many cs have you had? After having my first all my consultant appointments were short and sweet I walked in the door he said do you want vbac I said yes and that was the meeting over. Are you happy to try vbac or do you want another cs?

Kirstipops · 14/04/2014 21:02

Hi to the newbies :)
Queenasanti I thought I felt a slight "undulating" feeling on Thursday night, then a bubbles popping kind of sensation on Friday. Now unsure whether that was bump or just indigestion though haha!

OP posts:
Kirstipops · 14/04/2014 21:09

Gunwalloe it was 110/80 today, it was 155/96 five weeks ago! The consultant said the aspirin was being prescribed due to my family history (my mum's high blood pressure with me required a few hospital stays), plus the fact that it's my first baby, more a preventative measure rather than any reflection of what my BP is now.

fedupofrainydays · 14/04/2014 21:17

What does the harmony test tell you that the combined one doesn't? Just interested as lots of people seem to do it.

I've also got to see a consultant in May as I had a tricky birth last time and they want to discuss how I've healed since and whether c section or vag is the way to go. I think it will also depend on baby size.

wee I've just had a melt down about what to wear to work tomorrow. Nothing fits and I don't want to start wearing maternity stuff as I don't want to tell work yet. But realistically I know I can't hide this til 21 weeks. I'm scared about telling them in case subsequently something goes wrong.

Hey london!

binkybunny · 14/04/2014 21:20

Hiweebairn nice to see you on here. mrsb is here too Smile. There's quite a few Sept due dates so join along! Glad to hear you're feeling better, its nice to almost feel normal. I've been in mat trousers for 2 weeks now. Have quite a bump developing but not putting weight on elsewhere.

fedupofrainydays · 14/04/2014 21:21

Oh and carebear my lovely, sorry to hear about the higher nt measurement. My friend had 3.6 and she's just had a healthy little girl! Fx for you and can imagine how anxious you are xx

CellyD · 14/04/2014 22:05

Warm welcome to all the new faces!

Carebear I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you. Excited fingers crossed for your results tomorrow.

I'm pretty tired of the nausea now at 15 weeks, I can't wait for the glow to kick in.

fedupofrainydays · 14/04/2014 22:10

Ps. You know that card on the front of Emma's diary, is it worth sending it off? Do you get anything half useful or just loads of guff you don't want?

binkybunny · 14/04/2014 22:15

Fedup the packs are cute with little mini sized johnsons stuff but use an email address you can bin as I have nothing but spam from their related companies that I never agreed to! Also you get vouchers for Argos which will prob come in quite handy.

Binglesplodge · 14/04/2014 22:45

carebear - I know it's impossible but try not to panic and if you can, stay away from threads about NT measurements etc while you wait for your next appointment. We had a measurement of 3.3 at our 12 week scan and the more I read, the more worried I got! In the end, after a week of total panic and tears, the combined result came back low risk at 1:400. I hope you get similarly good news once they've looked at all the factors - one of the things you have to bear in mind is that the measurement doesn't mean anything on its own. People with a measurement of 1 can be classed as high risk once the blood results are back, and people with measurements like mine can be low risk once everything has been taken into account. In the meantime, sending hugs: I was where you are only a couple of weeks ago and I have never been more scared. Sit tight, and good luck xxx

TroubleAndFyfe · 14/04/2014 22:45

Fingers crossed for you carebear!
Welcome newbies!
I had my consultant appointment today and discusses my baby's 'premature birth' she asked me questions about bleeding, abdominal pain, cervical operations etc again and again 'trying to work out why it happened'. I got a bit fed up and said that I had read that dating scans can be 3-5 days out and he was 1 day premature. And 8lb5oz. She agreed he was probably just ready has signed me back over to midwife led! Smile

BingoBango85 · 15/04/2014 07:20

Has everyone read mumsnet had a data break in and we all need to change our passwords?

mrsb87 · 15/04/2014 07:50

Bingo I've just checked my email and I had a message about changing my password.

mrsb87 · 15/04/2014 07:51

carebear sorry to hear you've had a bit of a fright, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you x

CareBearWithFangs · 15/04/2014 07:56

Thank you bingle. That really helps. I'm going to say that to DP, on it's on the measurement doesn't mean much.

Didn't sleep very well last night, but hoping for a more positive day. The plumber is here ripping out the bathroom so I can't mope around all day anyway.

What's the Emma's diary thing? I like the sound of Argos vouchers. Smile

Kirstipops · 15/04/2014 08:09

You can download the Emma's Diary app, and the vouchers from there. I downloaded the app but I'm on here more for info than I use Emma's Diary!
