If you're pregnant after a previous MC and due in December 14 this is the thread for you.

If you're an obsessive knicker-checker or just want someone to chat to who knows where you're coming from you'll fit right in.

penguin is your DH feeling better?

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 20/05/2014 08:36

Great news Engles!

Fabulous pis Strawbs, feel any different now you're Mrs.Strawbs?

Good luck today MrsF!

Not much going on here, knackered!

Penguin13 · 20/05/2014 09:23

H is a bit better Paranoid thanks for asking. His temp was back up to 38 last night though. The good news is his appointment with the heart specialist came through for this Friday Smile

So I spent the journey to work disgracing myself with some public blubbing Blush. Somehow I managed to choose a book which features two people losing their children including a widow who has a stillbirth and it really affected me. I mean, I am a crier, I do cry at films and books and I love being that absorbed in the story but this was a little too close to home. If only there was a warning for this stuff. You know : 'avoid if pg, liable to cause melt-downs' that kind of thing!

Oh Penguin! I've been blubbing for England too, everything is setting me off at the moment.

MrsFtn · 20/05/2014 10:29

Thank you everyone for your support and wishes over the last few weeks. 12+4 today and everything went really well at scan NT measurement was 2mm which is good. Had blood test but hopefully all will be ok there. I can finally start to believe I'm pregnant! Due 28/11/14

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 20/05/2014 10:34

That's brilliant ftn Smile

Penguin13 · 20/05/2014 10:44

So so pleased for you Mrs. Hooray! What did your DD make of the scan? I am reliably informed that the second trimester is a lot easier so hopefully you can relax into your pregnancy.

PresidentSpreadable · 20/05/2014 11:18

That's great news MrsFtn. Roll on 2nd trimester!

regularbutpanickingabit · 20/05/2014 13:56

Hello! Can I come back please ladies? I disappeared for a while because I just wasn't feeling so positive about this pg. I did have a scan last week and all was ok. Then last night I had a bright red bleed and I have spent the morning at the hospital.

Anyway, I had another scan and all is ok again! Can't believe it to be honest.

So dates-wise I should be 10+1 but the last couple of scans have been consistent which would mean today I am 9+3 or 4. That could change my due date to December 20th.

Penguin13 · 20/05/2014 16:40

Hi Regular welcome back Smile surreptitiously attaches manacle to regular's ankle to avoid such wayward behaviour in future Grin Sounds like you've been having a bit of a roller coaster of a time but a positive scan at over 9 weeks is really positive! Fx for some smooth sailing for you.

regularbutpanickingabit · 20/05/2014 17:18

Thanks Pengs, I think I was just feeling like there is no way in hell this is going to stick and so why start getting excited. I am also the human pin cushion/drugs mule at the moment with all the medication I have to take/inject. That is NOT fun!

But seeing a growing little person with a real heartbeat doing what it is supposed to be doing is very very cool. Still nervous about it all and worried about money (we are supposed to be moving house for schools and now I don't know how we can afford somewhere big enough) and that is terrifying.

Still, thinking positively I have a hb at over 9 weeks and that is fantastic!

Congrats to everyone else and loving Strawbs' wedding photos. Gorgeous!

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 20/05/2014 18:21

High five pin cushion!

MrsFtn · 20/05/2014 19:35

Sorry my message earlier was short and sweet. i was massively late for work and didn't have time to read the other messages.

Glad your DH is feeling a bit better Penguin, good that you don't have to wait too much longer for his appointment.

Glad to see you are ok Regular - I've been wondering where you'd got to! Sorry you've had some scares but glad scan went well. Fx you'll sail through the rest of the 1st trimester and beyond.

DD is very excited and loved seeing the scan. I think it made her involved and explained what was going on better than words! I have only just realised how much I didn't really think I was pregnant until now - I feel like someone has just come up to me and said 'congratulations, you're pregnant' and I can actually believe it! Here's to a long list of successful 12 week scans on the Pg after MC thread then we can all start worrying about making it to our 20 week scans together

regularbutpanickingabit · 21/05/2014 06:30

Thanks paranoid and mrsf!
Next challenge.... How do I tell my parents who think I am several years on from extending my family?!

Penguin13 · 21/05/2014 11:20

Regular I'm sure your family will be really happy for you when you tell them your good news. When do you plan to let them know? If we have a positive scan tomorrow we're planning to call round all the siblings ASAP as I just can't hold it in any more. We've already worked out which order the 6 siblings need to be told in to avoid the 6th knowing before we get a chance to ring them!

Regardless of the news tomorrow it will be a bittersweet day as it's also the third anniversary of the death of my friend and colleague who was murdered by her ex-partner. I'm quite glad I have the whole day off so I will have a chance to quietly remember her.

penguin what a terrible story, it must have been quite a shock Hmm. Good luck with the scan tomorrow.

Penguin13 · 21/05/2014 12:32

She was only 34 and so smart and feisty and caring you just knew she would have done something amazing. She'd actually just got back from a humanitarian mission Pakistan with ICRC when it happened. I know this is irredeemably selfish considering what her parents and twin sister go through every day, but a small, illogical part of me is worried that having my scan on the same day she was killed is a bad omen. Please tell me I'm being ridiculous.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 21/05/2014 12:43

penguin you are being ridiculous, on the contrary I think all her goodness will pass onto your baby Smile. Gosh, you made me cry, so emotional. Phew, breathe

Thank you everyone, I don't feel much different apart from having a different last name and having to sign it! (which is a common one that people would raise eyebrows at when booking into a hotel!!) still on a massive loved up high!
Having a fab time away in London, staying in Covent Garden, walked everywhere today to the eye, Buckingham palace and back via Trafalgar and Leicester square so absolutely knackered.. Mr Strawbs and I are having a nap before going to watch Lion King tonight! (Ultimate tourists!)

I Did have some slight brown discharge just before we left which really worried me but was only when I wiped and is barely there now, no pain or anything but will probably go for a scan on Friday back at home. Fingers crossed it's just what was left from implantation coming out after an active few days.

Wow that was self absorbed! Sorry!..

Penguin what an awful thing for your friend to go through, she will definitely be looking down and acting as a guardian angel tomorrow! Best of luck..I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine Smile how many w+d will you be? And what time so we can all obsessively check?!

MrsFtn that is fantastic news! Yay! Congratulations.. Our first 12 week scan! Here's to many more for us all.

regular I'm sure your family will be over the moon.. Who wouldn't be over a precious scrumptious new born baby to love?! I hope they surprise you!

Paranoid how long until your 12 week scan?

10+5

StrawbsAndCream · 21/05/2014 17:43

I forgot to say.. I had the first stranger acknowledge I was pregnant yesterday while walking to our seats at Mamma Mia.. They had to get up for us to squeeze past and as I apologised the lady said 'oh don't worry there's two of you!' And nodded at my tummy... I won't be wearing any close fitting maxi dresses for another couple of weeks then! Blush

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 21/05/2014 18:27

oh strawbs was that you last night singing 'thank you for the music' in the street after the show Grin? Enjoy the Lion King tonight, it's another good one.

Scan next friday, 9 days to go.

penguin at what time is your scan?

Penguin13 · 21/05/2014 18:27

Wow your honeymoon in London sounds lovely Strawbs there is just so much to explore. I remember that loved up daze Smile It's kind of exciting that our bumps are just starting to make an appearance although mine's at least 50% bloat I am sure! I must admit Strawbs you didn't seem to be showing at all in your wedding dress although you were glowing.

Took my first bump pic a couple of days ago at 11+4. I needed to lose a little bit of weight prior to getting pg and struggled to keep my appetite under control for a few weeks so there is a lovely layer of flab incorporated into the bump Grin.

Tomorrow at 2.40pm is my 12 week scan and I will be 11+6. Feeling quite hopeful but with an undercurrent of worry simmering below the surface. I am glad that my scan is at a different hospital to last time when we didn't get good news.
