Scan tomorrow but feeling positive.

8w today and off into the garden to enjoy the sunshine. Need to find a summer hat with a brim.

So this thread got me into trouble with my mother yesterday. I'd just shown her an email from my DS but when I clicked back into my inbox I freaked because the MN notifications came up and I don't want to tell her until I have some more definite news so I panic clicked onto another tab.... but then she wanted to go back and look at the email so I had to tell her there was something I didn't want her to see in my inbox and could she look away. Oh the drama that caused! Later that day she asked if I didn't want her to see my inbox because I had an email titled "I hate my mother and I want to kill her" in there! Dude, I'm 38 years old!! No I don't write emails to my friends about hating my mother!!!
Anyway, now she's totally suspicious and I definitely caught her throwing a look towards my belly later on but she is respecting my right not to tell I guess.
7+4 today and feeling quite perky all things considered. Now to finish that damn business plan...

beebop I know how you feel. It must have been so hard doing your job after the mmc. Atm I can't imagine there is anything in there and feel a bit like a fraud. 12 days to 12w scan, it will be a long and painful wait.

Have spent the day nursing poor H who has a fever and a very chesty cough. I'm a bit more paranoid than usual after his recent hospital stay as he still hasn't got his appointment to see the heart specialist yet.

Hope the business plan went okay Debbie. What are you studying? Sounds like an awkward moment with your mum but as soon as she hears your scan news it will all be forgotten.

Paranoid, tesco sell a vit d & calcium supplement I take everyday (just up dose when pregnant) they're huge horse pill style things but I recommend them.

He's asking f we can go to the park. Seriously! 2 year old energy levels are slightly higher than pregnant ladies.

Thanks ladies, it was the most amazing weekend ever! Still smiling and can't Believe we are finally married! Getting used to the name change! I think the adrenaline kept me going and luckily I felt ok! Not yesterday though.. Enjoyed a lovely post wedding BBQ with everyone but was so so knackered and then had a celebratory headache and throw up last night before bed! But feeling ok today, I'll post some pics as well (outs self!)

penguin I'm glad you got through the BBQ without suspicion, not long now until we can let our secrets out thank god!

Wow Engels that is a long wait. How nice of your DS to ensure you are awake for every possible minute of it . At least you are likely to be kept busy which should hopefully help the time pass quicker.

It seems that it is just as well I am having the 12 week scan this week as I don't think hiding the bump is going to work for much longer. Dressed in what I thought was a reasonable bump camouflaging outfit today and not wearing my BOB badge I was offered a seat for the second time in a week On the positive side though - yay for lovely people offering seats. I declined, with effusive thanks, in both cases as I didn't really need the seat but nice to be asked.

Glad everyone has had a good weekend (apart from paranoid mothers! )

I went to a garden party on sat where one person asked me how the 'trying for a baby' was going but I pretended not to hear her and made out my DD was calling me and ran off! Went to a suprise party that night where one person asked DH if that was a baby bump I had. He couldn't lie but made sure she knew it was not 'official' yet.

Thinking of you this evening Engels hope the wait hasn't been too stressful.

Mrs am I right in thinking it your scan tomorrow now that your dates have been brought forward?

I can't believe how blunt some people are although not going to lie, finding it quite reassuring that someone else has a noticeable bump too!

Yep 8:50 so not got to wait too long. Unfortunately DD is going to have to come with us which I was hoping to avoid but I won't have time to drop her off at nursery which is 20 miles away (close to where I work) and get back for the appt. They said it's ok to bring her but she has to be still and quiet or DH will have to leave the room with her. I feel better about it having had a scan a few days ago but still very nervous about nuchal fold measurement and other checks they will do.

All went well with scan. Saw a strong heartbeat and measured at 8w ( was 8w+1 by my calculations). A relief!

And DS obviously knows because he woke up wailing mama while mil was babysitting
