If you're pregnant after a previous MC and due in December 14 this is the thread for you.

If you're an obsessive knicker-checker or just want someone to chat to who knows where you're coming from you'll fit right in.

Was referred via gp, if itgets worse I have their number but not going to exaggerate symptoms (no matter how tempting it is), feeling less cramps today, that's good? I hope!

PresidentSpreadable · 12/05/2014 17:16

That sounds positive DrFunkes, fingers very much xed for you.

Penguin13 · 12/05/2014 17:23

DrFunkes so sorry you're bleeding. Really hope it turns out ok for you. It's definitely positive your cramping has eased up a bit, hopefully when you do get seen it will be positive news.

Drfunkes I will keep everything crossed for you. I had bleeding and bad cramps last weekend yet all was good at epu scan on weds. I know its easier said then done but try and remain positive.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 12/05/2014 19:14

drfunkes i hope the bleeding and cramps have stopped, fx it was a false alarm.

penguin when is your next scan?

defo superstitious that if i tell family or friends i'm pg it will bring me bad luck. The positiveness only lasted a couple of day after scan, and then i reminded myself of all the things that can go wrong. We've found out this morning that my 12w scan was booked for when i'll be 14+, but managed to change it for 30 May. Having amazing support from NHS and wish everyone had the same experience. I've slept all weekend.

sorry for the mememe self-obsessed post, i find it hard to keep up atm. Hope you're all feeling better.

StrawbsAndCream · 12/05/2014 22:19

Fingers crossed for you DrFunkes it's positive that you had the same last week and all was fine so hopefully it's just more of the same.. so cruel though! What colour is the bleeding? Hoping it settles down and good news the cramps are stopping.. I still get the odd crampy feeling if I've sat in the same position for too long! And lots of weird stretchy feelings too.

Sorry I haven't been on much, been very busy doing wedding-y stuff! So I've probably missed a lot! Hope everyone is doing ok.

*MrsFtn' I definitely hear you on the superstition, I laughed reading your post as it's so similar to me.. I took pregnacare last time and have steered clear of it and am on seven seas! Have done everything as differently as I can. I really struggled filling in my notes today. Funny how our minds work!

5 days to go until the wedding. I tried on my dress the other day.. I am no longer wearing a bra! Felt so much better when I took it off! I was seriously going to struggle otherwise.. Actually I probably still will! Don't know how I'll stay awake and wear heels for so long whilst trying not to feel sick after my meal, all whilst being videoed and having my picture taken.. uh oh!

I've got my first midwife appt tomorrow and having bloods done. Had 3rd scan at almost 9 weeks last week and we could see the baby having a wriggle! I was so nervous before hand as it was just after the time our first baby died with my mmc. Hoping to hold out until my 12 week scan but don't know if I'll be able to, all i have to do is ring and they book me in the next morning.. Astonished at how easy it is here, or maybe I've just struck lucky with this lovely lady! Also wish it was the same for everyone, it does take a weight off.

Yay to scan date paranoid! That is soon! What will you be on that date?

9+3 here.

X

Penguin13 · 13/05/2014 09:27

Strawbs how exciting that your wedding day is nearly here! What lovely news about your 9 week scan too, great to have seen that before the big day. It's quite lovely to know that your baby will have sneaked its way into your wedding album. I'm sure your secret will give you an extra special glow on your big day.

That's great that they changed the date of your scan Paranoid and good to have a date to aim for. My next scan is on May 22nd so not too long to go now! and yet it seems like FOREVER

In a bit of un pg related news I passed my driving theory test yesterday! Was quite nervous about the hazard perception bit but it was all fine. Now just the scary practical test to get through.....

How are you holding up DrFunkes? I've been thinking of you, as I'm sure we all are.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 13/05/2014 13:29

penguin congrats on the theory test. Yaayyy, 22nd will be there soon Smile

strawbs your wedding will be there even sooner, how exciting!

I'll be 12+1 on scan date, it's booked for 9am, and then we're off to France again in the afternoon. So if all goes well, I'll be able to tell my parents face to face.

9+5

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 13/05/2014 16:49

Pink, leaning towards red (sort of cranberry)! Blood but hats gone now, just the cramps and no news from EPU.

Will be taking a back seat lurking until we know what's up.
Good luck with the wedding Strawbs (& avoiding all he drink)!
Congrats on the pass penguin. X

basgetti · 14/05/2014 00:43

DrFunkes I hope you hear from EPU soon so you can find out what's going on. Really hope it's good news for you Thanks

I can't stop being sick, struggled to even keep fluids down today. I'm okay if I'm lying down but that's not very practical with a 5 year old to look after! Poor DP got a mouthful earlier because he cleaned the bathroom and the smell of the cleaner set me off! Blush

Hope everyone is doing well x

Penguin13 · 14/05/2014 08:02

DrFunkes really hope you hear from EPU soon. It's awful that you're stuck waiting like this. I would consider at what point to follow-up with them if they haven't called.

Basgetti you poor thing. I think if this continues you need to go and see your GP asap as not even being able to keep fluids down could be dangerous. Did you get this in your previous pregnancy?

OP posts:
basgetti · 14/05/2014 08:56

Yes I had hyperemesis when I was pregnant with DS. Was hospitalised a few times and had to take anti sickness tablets. I'm worried about how I'm going to keep down so much lucozade in the morning for my GTT! I'll speak to the nurse about it tomorrow, she might check my urine if I ask. In the meantime another lazy day for me, with mumsnet and Judge Judy for company! x

MrsFtn · 14/05/2014 08:58

Still got evrrything crossed for ypu DrFunkes

Hope you feel better today basgetti

Congrats on passing your theory test penguin have you got your practical test booked?

After saying I am definitely not having another scan before 12 weeks I phoned epau yesterday and they've agreed to give me one tomorrow at 11:30. Since Monday my symptoms have been non- existent and I am absolutely convinced I've had mmc. I just think I'd rather know now than wait til 5th June when my scan is booked.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 14/05/2014 09:27

Hurrah MrsFtn! Good luck tomorrow.

Sitting in EPU now so keeping everything crossed

Does your hypermedia get better after 12 weeks Basgetti? Or are you full time sick? Hope you manage to keep something down today. X

basgetti · 14/05/2014 09:33

Good luck DrFunkes, fingers crossed for you!

And you for tomorrow MrsFtn, hope it's good news.

I was sick until about 30 weeks last time on and off. I'm not very good at being pregnant! x

PresidentSpreadable · 14/05/2014 09:46

Keeping everything crossed DrFunkes and MrsFtn.

10+2 here and apart from one day of slight gagging at various smells, not even a whisper of ms. It was the same last time when I had my mmc, so not finding it very reassuring. I do still seem to have other symptoms though, so trying to keep positive. I am very tempted to pay for another early scan, but MrPres is running his first marathon in ten days time and I don't want to ruin his focus with bad news. Argh.

MrsFtn · 14/05/2014 09:46

Oh glad to hear you managed to get seen today drfunkes thinking of you x

Hope the sickness doesn't last that long this time basgetti I feel bad now for moaning about having no symptoms!

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 14/05/2014 09:47

Good luck drfunkes, let us know how it goes.

mrsftn fx for you too

basgetti I hope you feel better soon.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 14/05/2014 09:59

president I think 20% of women don't have ms and we should considered ourselves lucky, no matter how scary. All I have to hold on to is bigger boobs, and slightly weird food taste (mange tout, pineapple and crisp for breakfast this morning).

I'd have a scan everyday if i could, 16 days to go. But mw this Friday.

Penguin13 · 14/05/2014 10:09

Mrs that's great that they could arrange to see you so quickly. Good luck for your scan.

Good luck to you too DrFunkes glad you are finally getting seen and crossing everything for it to be good news.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 14/05/2014 10:51

Good scan! Hurrah!

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 14/05/2014 10:53

Congrats drfunkes, brilliant news, so happy for you Grin

PresidentSpreadable · 14/05/2014 11:15

Yay! Brilliant news DrFunkes!

Thanks Covent. I've found out that Babybond scans after 12 weeks are only £40, and they have a branch v close to where I live. I think I may indulge myself a couple of times between 13 and 20wks if I get that far!

basgetti · 14/05/2014 11:16

Congratulations DrFunkes that's great news! x
