When are you due strawberry and welcome :)

Ergh maybe I'll do a bump pic, I've got a 17 week scan pick instead??

Lottiedoubtie · 23/04/2014 14:25

Definitely not doing a bump pic here Wink

Having a productive day here, actually getting parts of the house sorted out, like I've been trying to do for months. Hypermesis is allowing me the occasional respite from the full horror now.

Scan Friday, eek both excited and terrified.

Mummyto3tobe · 23/04/2014 16:25

Loving the bumps! making me feel not so big for my dates now as im pretty similar size to you ladies! Grin someone i work with is a month behind me and has virtually no bump and its making me look huge. Sad

my scan is on monday and im crapping it too Lottie, after our downs results being so bad (1 in 240) to what we were expecting im worried incase they pick anything else up at the scan. I swear its my DH turning me into a worrier - either that or the fact im getting older!

waffles1990 · 23/04/2014 17:22

Hello all :) checking in after a rather long absence again :/
Had the 20 week scan today and all appears to be well thankfully! And she's still a girl so the gender scan wasn't a waste of money!

She's constantly moving, especially when I eat - I'm sure she senses food!!! Or just gets a sugar rush...

Anyway thought I'd add a bump picture too, def starting to pop out a little now :)

lilone1234 · 23/04/2014 18:24

Lovely bumps ladies!

Had midwife appt yesterday and got a nice long listen of heartbeat! DP even sneakily recorded on his phone so now we can listen whenever we want!

StrawberryGashes · 23/04/2014 18:34

I'm due the 30th, I'm 17 weeks today. I've been feeling a bit miserable as I'm so big already, but seeing all your bump pictures has made me feel so much better. I thought I had just been eating far too much ice cream and chocolate which this little one seems to make me crave.

StrawberryGashes · 23/04/2014 18:35

mummyto3 the only other person I know at the moment who is pregnant is a week head of me on her 3rd baby and has no bump either!

topmammy · 23/04/2014 18:35

Love the bump pics! I might do one too at some point but too tired to even stand up right now after first day back at work with my class. Also seem to have picked up a sore throat bug already!! My bump has been committed to the history books so to speak now though as today we had class photographs, hehe!

I think what you are feeling is really understandable whiteblossom. And I agree with what someone else said (sorry I forget who) about grieving for what you won't be having. I had a dream night before last that I had a CS and the baby was a boy. I even thought in my dream, hang on a minute, that's not right Confused DH thinks it's like my subconscious letting go of the boy I won't be having, not that I mind at all though.

The CS bit of my dream was totally gross and horrid though, scared me when I woke up, but strangely in my dream I distinctly remember feeling no pain at all, which certainly didn't match what I was looking at lol. Anyone else having birth dreams?

velvetlilithi · 23/04/2014 18:50

Add me to your list please! I wasn't here for a quite long. I won't do a bump pics as I have only small one :( (unfortunately). Can't wait to have a proper bump.

How much weight have you gained so far?
I'm 17+4 and I've gained only 1.5 kg until now.

How about you?

BooSurprise · 23/04/2014 20:59

Finally caught up, lots of chatting here. I've been missing in action for a while thanks to DD2 deciding sleep at night is not really necessary, and my return to work, which means 12hr shifts, I've also been trying to do a few extra hours to boost my mat pay, but thankfully that will all be done at the end of the month.
My gestational diabetes has been playing up too, so I've been started on meds, no insulin yet, but I think that will be here at some point, in a good way it means extra scans to check growth and in a bad way it means extra consultant appts at least 1-2 month at the mo, which are just a bit time consuming.
Hope everyone with problems is coming through.
Scan not for another week and a bit yet, but am feeling some occasional movement now which is reassuring, no weight on for me yet, mainly due to eating little carbs and sugar due to diabetes.
I'll try to catch up more often- likely to be in the middle of the night thanks to DD2 at the mo!
Oh and finally if anyone is looking at pushchairs I can highly recommend baby jogger versa as a single or city mini double if you need one.
Sorry for the looong post.

Bananapickle · 23/04/2014 22:10

My bumps gone a funny shape in this picture but seeing the others has made me feel a bit better as I was feeling huge for 19 weeks. Definitely wasn't this big last time! Everyone at work thinks its a big bump too so they've all been trying to guess using old wives tales and they're split 50/50!!
Those without bumps you will get there. I felt like that first time round but by the end I was a decent size :-)

polkadotdelight · 23/04/2014 22:29

I love all the bump pictures, I might brave it tomorrow night!

Jemma2907 · 24/04/2014 09:13

Hello ladies, please can you remove me from the stats. I had my 20 week scan on Tuesday and sadly received bad news. I won't go into detail as it's something very rare so nothing for any of you to worry about what with your scans coming up. I'm sure you'll all continue to have healthy pregnancies and I really hope you do. All the best x

Lottiedoubtie · 24/04/2014 09:24

Oh, jemma, I'm terribly sorry to hear that. All the best., take care.

xxmissbrightsidexx · 24/04/2014 09:59

rockin20s · 24/04/2014 10:15

Loving all the bump photos ill do one myself tonight.

is anyone seeing a big difference in their bump from morning to night. im huge by bed time!

went o yoga the other night and we have 10 mins of sleepy time at the end, baby was going crazy lots of movement. had a cheese toastie yesterday and again baby did lots of turns and kick. Movement is still very sporadic maybe once/twice a day but its getting stronger each time.

has any of your Dh felt the baby move/kick yet?
mine hasn't. all he can feel is my pulse when he puts his hand on my stomach

ilovemonstersInc · 24/04/2014 11:12

polkadotdelight · 24/04/2014 12:06

I'm so sorry Jemma x

HippyJess · 24/04/2014 12:23

Lovely ladydudes, might any of you know if I need to be worried about this or not?

Basically every morning for the past week I've woken up and thrown up phlegm/stomach acid before eating. What I've been desperately wanting first thing/after this is anything sugary (chocolate milk/pastries etc) Blush today this has come with a mild headache that could well just be my sinuses (I have a stuffy nose from hayfever too so they're probably linked).

I just don't understand why I've suddenly started being more physically sick - though less nauseous generally! - when I'm 20 weeks tomorrow??! Any ideas? Hoping it's just a combination of hayfever and scan nerves (it's tomorrow) and that it'll sod off soon :(

dontevenblink · 24/04/2014 12:39

HippyJess I was sick like this a week or so ago every morning for a few days. I have had a cold for a while so don't know if this added to it, but mine seems to be linked a lot to tiredness and especially if I don't eat quickly in the mornings I am sick (especially if my 3dc are being little monkeys in the mornings so I don't get a chance to eat...!). I haven't been feeling great lately and at my midwife appointment a couple of days ago it turns out I have quite low blood pressure compared to normal (90/60) and the midwife said that won't be helping matters - have you had yours checked recently? To be fair though, with my first pregnancy I had sickness all the way through so may just be the hormones... Hope you feel better soon x

So sorry to hear your news Jemma, take care xx

HippyJess · 24/04/2014 12:41

Thanks donteven, I've always had good blood pressure verging on the low so that could be it... and that would explain the sugar wanting too, wouldn't it? Haven't had it checked since the 16 week midwife appointment but I'm going to the docs next week about my hayfever anyway so will get them to check it while I'm there :)

Lottiedoubtie · 24/04/2014 12:45

Low blood pressure and a bit of a cold is a likely cause id say Jess. Worth just checking with the doctor when you see them though.

I found out the other day that most pharmacys will do your blood pressure for you for free so it might be worth getting that checked out sooner. (I have low blood pressure, pharmacist lady was delighted to get the chance to use her machine and told me to go back every day if I wanted!! -I won't!-

whiteblossom · 24/04/2014 13:51

Jemma, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Huge hugs, stay strong xxxx
