Oh dont even, boo, banana, ladies, thanks a lot for all advices xx banana that is such a good bargain you got on ebay, well done...
I guess I should start looking around properly... The info about nct first viewing was really interesting too... Thanks xx from your posts I also decided not to stock up on nappies as I have to try them first...

Welcome kitty, I am 36 ( 37 in a few hours!!!!!! First bd with a little human being being slowly grown inside me and into our lives... So excited and nervous....) and this is my first too...

Glad to hear sb else has put on some weight too like me:) I don't exercise but thats mainly because I have long hours at work, last week had two days of more than12 hours and one more than 10... Not healthy really

topmammy · 13/04/2014 10:45

I got a new bra from Mothercare yesterday isit, half price too which was nice! I have gone up a cup size now, hurrah! I've been a blooming A cup since forever! Hoping my basoomas might catch up and look in more proportion with the size of my bum by the end of the pregnancy haha! -and not shrink back to their pre-pregnancy size too much--

Not sure if it was to do with the dream genii pillow I tried for the first time last night but I slept for aaages! About 12hours Shock! The pillow doesn't stop me from rolling onto my back really but it's comfy with the pillow between your legs so I guess encourages you to stay on your side.

polkadotdelight · 13/04/2014 11:06

I keep dithering about buying one of those pillows. Sleep is awful for me right now, I hate being restricted to side only and trying to favour the left side.

Does anyone else find their bump/belly get quite hard/painful if they've had a really busy day?

ilovemonstersInc · 13/04/2014 11:26

Ive always wanted a hotmilk bra but they are expensive!
I have however seen they have some in the sale sowill go for them as im currently still wearing an underwired bra.
Ive always had been big chested.

Ps it's isitme.

has everyone seen the security information on active?

topmammy · 13/04/2014 11:29

Yes seen the message about resetting passwords so I've just changed mine but not my username too.

ilovemonstersInc · 13/04/2014 11:30

I couldn't change password wouldn't let me so I deleted old acct and made new

bugoven · 13/04/2014 12:04

Hello everyone =) Did some proper baby shopping yesterday and was treated to a beautiful Moses basket from Mothercare courtesy of DP's DS. I love it and am now feeling ready to start prepping the "little room" with a similar colour scheme.

Going to give in and buy some maternity wear tomorrow, especially a bra or two. I have gone from a DD to at least an F because I had one in my "bigger times" collection and it doesn't fit!!!

polka I have had a lot of tightenings and found my bump goes very hard after exercise, especially housework. I like it when it doesn't hurt that is.

ilovemonstersInc · 13/04/2014 12:21

Ooooh forgot to say on the ebay app theres massive savings off mamas and papas maternity dresses!

Lottiedoubtie · 13/04/2014 12:22

Hi all, checking back in, I've been AWOL for awhile.

Hypermesis rages on....

Newlywed2013 · 13/04/2014 12:32

Hi everyone! Sorry not been around for a while!! Congrats to everyone who have found out if they are pink or blue! I am now 19+2 and don't know where the time has gone!
Hubby is in panic mode at the mo, as we are due to move into our new house in August, and we don't know how we will afford everything! As it's a new build we have to buy all carpets etc curtains, curtain rails etc! I'm also gutted I can't do a nursery properly as we are not allowed to decorate for a year :-(
20 week scan is on 23rd! Staying team yellow! Everyone thinks boy due to the HG which has improved do much! I'm now having more good days than bad, but still relying heavily on my anti sickness meds!
Think that's about it for an update on me! :-)

KatharineClover · 13/04/2014 13:52

dontevenblink my SPD was like yours in my first pregnancy - I've seen the physio 3 times now since 9 weeks and she has been amazing! In my first session she manipulated my pelvis and fixed a discrepancy in the front joint, which has stayed. She has manipulated my right hip twice as it keeps coming back out of alignment because I have a muscular weakness on that side (and I limp when the pain is bad) - she has managed to stop my SPD from getting worse and maintained it at the initial level it started at (pain if I do too much). Last time I was in constant pain, so this is wonderful, both physically and mentally. I'd recommend asking for a physio referral and making sure you see a physio who is confident to treat and manipulate pregnant women xx

topmammy · 13/04/2014 14:17

Glad you're feeling better newlywed. That sucks not being allowed to decorate for a year Shock. Still, I love New houses, all those freshly plastered walls, clean lines... lovely! Wish I had one!

My DH is going to be moving the radiator in the nursery next week. He is not a plumber. I'm a bit scared! But he seems confident enough so I'm going to remain optimistic!

Sorry you're not feeling better lottie Thanks

I've just eaten a tin of kippers. They looked gross but I just had to have them. Must be a pregnancy craving thing!

amy246 · 13/04/2014 17:44

Newlywed: I've seen some lovely 'wall stickers' which you can use to decorate nurseries. They don't use glue or anything and I'm planning to get some because I can't repaint either. They're quite cheap as well :) Amazon have a lot of choice.
I've got my 20 week scan tomorrow: so nervous but can't wait to see the little one again. He/she is quite a little wriggler and I get a lot of movement and kicks which is nice :) wish me luck, eek!

Twizzletoes · 13/04/2014 21:04

Hello All, we had a gender scan and we're in team blue, woohoo! 20 wk scan on Wednesday which I am praying will be ok.

Noodledoodledoo · 13/04/2014 21:15

Hi all, I am due on the 24th of September, so about 16 weeks now. Our 20 week scan is on the 1st of May.

I have a consultant appointment this week due to BMI and age! Am hoping not to get told off as I have actually lost weight in the last 8 weeks, luckily not due to morning sickness.

Bit of a dim question coming up - how do you register for the Asda baby club - all I can see is how to sign in?????

Teabiscuits · 13/04/2014 22:09

topmammy I'm also a small busted big bummed lady! My basoomas get bigger throughout pregnancy, then get gigantic when my milk comes in (well, a good C cup but gigantic for my standards!) and then depressingly shrink back to an A when it's all done and dusted. I think this is pretty common, so enjoy your bigger boobies while you can. On the bright side, smaller ones don't tend to sag so easily!

Teabiscuits · 13/04/2014 22:13

Welcome noodle sorry I have no idea on the Asda question, but my sister in law had appointments because of BMI, and she only got told off when she gained 10 kilos in 12 weeks, so hopefully you should be ok. Good luck!

dontevenblink · 13/04/2014 22:51

Thanks for that Katharine, I'm going to talk to my midwife when I see her next week about a physio referral. I saw a physio a few times in my first pregnancy but it didn't help much at all, don't think she really knew that much about SPD though, just told me about sitting on a birthing ball and gave me some crutches and that was about it! My last two pregnancies weren't bad enough to see a physio (although I do have a bad habit of just trying to ignore the pain if it's not too bad...) but this time it is a lot worse. Not sure how it works here in NZ though, they tend to outsource a lot of stuff rather than have it all at the hospital, so there might be a chance I can see a private one and still get it for free, some stuff is only subsidised though Sad

dontevenblink · 13/04/2014 22:55

newlywed I had HG all the way through my pregnancy with DD, but had absolutely no sickness with both my boys! This one I've been a bit sick, which is still going on sometimes, so who knows! We'll be staying Team Yellow too :)

KitKat1985 · 13/04/2014 23:01

Hello! Just checking in. Been away on holiday for a fortnight so haven't had a chance to read back over all messages, but nice to hear that some people are finding out now if they are pink or blue. I hope everyone is well and that all bumps are doing good. I can definitely feel something now (am 17+4) - feels like butterflies on one side of my tummy. Seeing midwife tomorrow for 16 week appointment (late because of being away on holiday) but hopefully all good. Am dreading going near scales after two weeks of holiday indulgences! x

Just thought I'd update my Team Pink stat! Will be interesting to see how evenly spread the pinks and blues are. Practically everyone I know of who is pregnant or has recently had a baby in rl has had boys! Apart from me of course Grin

Teabiscuits I will def make the most of my boobage now then lol. So will DH haha. Don't know why I have such small ones, none of the women in my family seem to. Ah well, less chance of sagging sounds pretty good!

KatharineClover · 14/04/2014 07:05

Quick note to the small-boobed ladies...
Pre-pregnancy, I was wearing a (badly fitting) 36A, but then read the 'Bra intervention' thread here on mumsnet ... remeasured accurately with the right system (no adding 4") and I am now wearing a very comfortable 32DD! Boobs haven't grown, but it's been a massive confidence boost :)

DearDinah · 14/04/2014 08:12

Katharineclover I did that too & was amazed, came out 32d, but whilst the underwired bras fit me, I bought a non underwired maternity bra off the Internet & it sags, so not sure what size I should get now, just bought some small comfort bras from asda to get me by, I'd go la senza to get properly measured but there isn't one near me. Very frustrating!

ilovemonstersInc · 14/04/2014 08:23

Im Blush at bra fittings I have massive boobs.
40f in last pregnancy

Scan on Wednesday. So im classing it as 1 day left!!
