Friday have my almost 40 week apt. I'm hoping they'll agree to a sweep ever though I'll be 39+5 rather than 40...

FrankelInFoal · 12/03/2014 07:37

Hoping things get shifting for you soon Sinks, just keep thinking every tightening and contraction brings you another step closer to your baybee.

SinkyMalinks · 12/03/2014 09:01

Thanks frank.

Sorry merk. That was rude of me. I should gave asked, how are you? I'm a bit self centred at the moment...

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/03/2014 10:36

Sinks don't apologise!
Nothing happening here, yoyo baby has come back up. Can see me being the one heading for the induction
Frank are you all home yet? Hope its going well
Ps can somebody PM me and enlighten me as to what happened to CaptainMoll, I lost track of the name changers

eurochick · 12/03/2014 10:49

Hags, yesterday and today, I have been having quite a few period-type pains. I am on knicker watch, but no blood yet. I've googled and it seems to be a mixed bag of: "this is bad" and "it's normal I had it". I've just dropped my mw a line to see what she thinks. Did any of you get this (I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, btw)?

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/03/2014 11:08

Euro I had loads of it and spent quite a few weeks on knicker watch around that time too. My midwife said your uterus goes through a growth spurt as it comes up out of the pelvis

It sounds like it might be round ligament pain, euro. The ligaments supporting your uterus are getting stretched a lot at the moment.

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/03/2014 11:59

Even if your boobs are 'floppier,' it doesn't mean anything bugs, symptoms come and go.

euro I've had womble cramps on and off the whole way through, some incredibly painful. The womble has a lot of growing to do. Yesterday I had some cramps and was menkulling briefly about going into very early labour Hmm

That was after a few days menkulling about eye floaters and puffy feet - I did go to the docs with that one, blood and wee are fine and I have to go to the opticians. I suspect the puffy feet may have had something to do with painting and shifting furniture all weekend. I'm still shattered from the exertion

merks you've aaaaages before you need to think about induction!

I didn't think Moll was ever a PESH, didn't she temporarily give up TTCing on the BESH fred?

frank how's it going?

Stick with it Bugs. Dunno what it's like where you are but the sun is out here so a nice sunny weekend might help pass the time
I didn't know if Captain had got to PESH as I wasn't sure if she'd name changed while a BESH
Not that I'm counting or anything but 20 days until induction arguments for me (they let me go until 41+5 evidently - not sure if that's the same for all trusts?)

FrankelInFoal · 12/03/2014 12:37

Still on the ward Im afraid Sad, we're waiting for the Dr to come back with the blood results. Apparently the lab opened at 9.30am so I'm guessing he 's just got lots of people to see Hmm

One thing I did forget to tell you was the rest of our short list of names. Both Elizabeth and Alice were on there, obv , but we also had Eleanor and Matilda. For a long time Matilda was my favourite but HWHNN liked it least of the four. We probably settled on the name about 6 weeks ago, but didn't want to say in case we changed our minds.

Euro I agree with the others, there are so many strange pains/sensations when pregnant and the vast majority are totally normal, if uncomfortable - wait till you get Lightning Foof!

Bugs I get the menkul, but I think you ought to wait for the later scan, it'll be that bit more conclusive.

FriendofDorothy · 12/03/2014 12:46

Bugs how floppy your boobs are is really not a good indicator that something is going terribly wrong.

Go for the later scan. I suspect you are always going to menkul, especially in the lead up to scans but try to sit tight.

KatAndKit · 12/03/2014 13:07

I agree with the others. 9 weeks is probably a good bit more conclusive than 8 weeks. As for the boobs, in all 4 pregnancies I have never had first trimester ginormaboobs. I don't think you can tell much from the boobs.the most important fact is that you are not bleeding.

eurochick · 12/03/2014 16:48

bugs my boobs definitely have up and down days!

Holding out for the later scan sounds like a plan if you can manage it. I find if I can get to the weekend, it gets a lot easier, as it's then difficult to get a scan at the weekend, and once you are past that, it seems like a very short wait.

Thanks for the reassurances. I have had all sorts of stretching and grumbles before but no period cramps until yesterday, apart from the first couple of days of my marathon 3 week bleed in the first tri (so not a good precendent).

FriendofDorothy · 12/03/2014 21:12

I have had a really shitty day.

I cried making breakfast and then The Little Mister was behaving like a little shit - throwing his food everywhere and being annoying, and snotty and whingy.

I then went to work and had a really busy day.

When I got home from work I made tea with The Little Mister lying at my feet whinging and crying until I was also crying.

It's silly in some ways because there was nothing that massively set me off.

I know it is all about missing my Mum loads at the moment. I wish she was here and I just feel so sad that she isn't.

Sorry to be grumpy and miserable.

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/03/2014 23:17

Sympathy dor, that does sound like a shitty day. You've had so many massive changes in the last 18 months or so I'm amazed you're doing as well as you are. Hope the Little Mister is in better form tomorrow, big hugs.

ALittleFaith · 13/03/2014 09:25

Oh dor, you are doing so well but it will catch up with you at times, especially with a grumpy, poorly boy! I hope you're feeling a bit better this morning.

FriendofDorothy · 13/03/2014 09:36

I am shattered today.

Got a nasty headache and feel like my head is full of cotton wool.

I would like to go back to bed about now and sleep all day!

eurochick · 13/03/2014 11:33

Oh dor that sounds hard. It's not long till the weekend. Can you arrange to have a quiet one, with some lie ins where the Mister takes out the Little Mister?

Acu has helped my headaches massively.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 13/03/2014 14:33

Oh sorry dot, it sounds rubbish. One day til the weekend and I second the demands for a lie in for you. Look after yourself.

Sorry about the menkul. Bugs boobs are totally unreliable. Mine still deflate and reflate quite regularly. Hold on tight, the later you scan the more certainty you get.

I had odd pully sensations a lot, euro. No blood is a good sign and you're out of ultimate menkul trimester. When do you get to see the midwife and hear the heart? I found the lack of monitoring in second trimester really tough. I wept so much at the sound of the heart that I was offered to pop in for reassurance never went cos I was too scared there wouldn't be a heart.

MyNameIsWinkly · 13/03/2014 14:51

I was the same driz, I sobbed like an idiot after the 16 week appointment. The midwife wrote on my notes I was 'tearful and anxious' (true, but still) and had me back for a bonus 18 week listen.

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/03/2014 16:21

Dor hope the sun has helped lift your spirits today
Frank hope you both are doing well
