I could get over the magic of sunshine on poo stains!

If the fabric still lookes stained after going through the washing machine hang outside in the sunlight and the stain magically disappears!

SinkyMalinks · 11/03/2014 10:47

Bugs, don't worry about being a broken record - that's why we have the PESH, no? We all understand the menkull and you can whitter away without us trying to find "the right words" - we know there aren't any, until you get that scan (whitter isn't meant to be offensive, but it's how I see myself when I'm fixating on something)

If it makes you feel any better, I'll whitter on about cramps/tightenings/etc. They've started again after easing off overnight. Ghj is working long days all week, has no phone signal and so is nigh on uncontactable from 6am to 10pm. I have instructions to ring his boss if I need him - which only adds another level to my menkull of should I/shouldn't I...

But, in order to not make this post all me me me, I'll add that I've also heard of the magic properties of sunlight in stain and smell removal!

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2014 11:11

Bugs I menkulled to a degree before every scan. I found it helped to say all the stuff I was worried about no matter how crazy (what if the baby has disappeared? Etc) and VVTM would tell me I was being stupid. Just to hear that helped a bit, though I never felt 100% better until the scan was over with. One day at a time

Those fears will be the same before every scan until you can feel movement all the time I'm afraid.
Im afraid I don't have any ideas as to what can help you get through the next few days. All I would say is not to bottle it up as I find its easier to imagine scenarios (and your imagination runs wild) on your own

MyNameIsWinkly · 11/03/2014 12:43

I blame Hollywood, but also our years of symptom spotting, for us not feeling pregnant enough. They make us feel like pregnancy should be a huge-boobed barf-fest, when in reality unstoppable eating is as much of a symptom as some people get (and more don't get any symptoms at all.) My main early symptom was being very farty, nice. Post as often as you like bugs, this is a good place and to a greater or lesser extent we understand how it feels.

sinks it seems like things are gearing up for you, hopefully not too long to go.

frank sounds like you're doing a brilliant job, I'm rooting for a big poo and a happier baybee. She's a wee poppet :) Will you be calling her by her full name or will it get shortened, do you think?

I wonder how my neighbours would feel about me putting the airer in the communal garden/garage area for an hour or so each day in the summer. Hmm.

eurochick · 11/03/2014 12:55

bugs I'm finding the gap between scans hard too. I had 5 between 6 and 12 weeks, and now I have an 8 week wait for the next one! Gah. I think it'll be easier once I can feel movement as now I'm into the second tri I don't even have much in the way of symptoms to comfort me.

frank I hope the feeding gets easier. x

Bugs I actually spent a night googling prices to buy an ultrasound machine Blush although I'm sure shared out between all the menkullers we could
spread the cost Grin

It will cause more menkul than it is worth. Don't do it!

KatAndKit · 11/03/2014 16:28

Would another scan while you wait make you feel better? You can usually get one for £50 or thereabouts.

KatAndKit · 11/03/2014 16:48

I know what you mean! I had to wait till 8+2 this time and it was tough but it was the right thing for me to do. The menkul never really goes away but after your next scan hopefully it will go down quite a lot.

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2014 17:17

Bugs what about an extra scan at your clinic? Sure they would accommodate that, or just bring the date forward. Your peace of mind is important
I had a Doppler from 14 ish weeks I think and loved it. But I know it can be a cause of hell. The ultrasound machines were thousands and thousands Grin

My friend is a sonographer - when she was pregnant she used to scan her own belly after hours, or on breaks between patients. And she knew exactly what she was looking at and what was normal, too - maybe that should be the profession for PESH?!

Sinks any news/progress?

SinkyMalinks · 11/03/2014 22:17

Same as yesterday. Painful tightenings from afternoon and ramping up into the evening. Currently breathing through one on my ball.

Bit tedious really. I've been told this could go one for days and days till the bitter end...

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2014 22:58

Do you have a midwife appointment soon? They would at least be able to tell you if its doing its job on your cervix
