Is that the rabbit book? It does look cute :)

Good to see you, rasp! Glad you're feeling happier generally, and hope that in due course you will know when to give IVF another bash.

Just seen on FB that a RL friend has had her baybee. I am now Next In Line of my real life friends Shock

We luff that book. Faithlet has two sleepy time books, the other is Goodnight moon. I can literally recite them off by heart! Little Nutbrown hare, who was going to bed... Well done on buying something bugs and what a nice way to start. I got a sleeping bag from Sainsbury's with that theme too. So cute! :) it won't jinx things. Your scans have been good. Stay positive. Shopping doesn't change that.

Luffly to see you rasp. Sounds like you're benefitting from a break from things.

JethroTull · 25/04/2014 15:46

Ah Rasp I've been thinking about you recently. I can completely understand the trigger thing. And the stepping back at work thing. Just wishing you lots of good thoughts.

JethroTull · 25/04/2014 16:04

Just read lots of the Fred. Euro glad your MW made you feel a bit better. The worry is never bloody ending!

Bugs I also followed the dreaded Gina Ford at about 8 weeks. Although not to the letter. I'm a 'routine' kind of person & the book really helped me to get some structure to my day. I hated the Baby Whisperer book though. MiniJeff stopped night feeding quite early on but we only dropped the dream feed a few weeks ago.

cherrycoconut · 25/04/2014 22:23

I miss you all so much I was just wondering how you were getting on the other day as I check up on these guys fairly regularly

Great you popped by and so glad to hear you're coming through the other side and gaining more control. In your own time my lovely. We'll all get there, wherever there is. Halibuts of hope all round x

maamalady · 25/04/2014 23:33

Coco! So good to see you! Hope you're doing alright :)

I can't believe that I hit the third trimester on Monday - seems ridiculous!

A question for any re-differs... did you feel much bigger much earlier second time around? I feel absolutely massive at the moment, like my bump is much more obvious this time.

We have a relatively quiet day at home and then tomorrow I get my first night away from The Little Mister as I am flying to the UK to compete in the Choir of the Year Competition. :)

Good luck in the comp, dor. That sounds like fun. I was in a choir when I was younger and loved it. I should really get back into it one day.

Bugs I am awake early every day. It's very annoying. I am normally a night owl.

For the flight, do you have a tablet or smartphone? You could download books, TV progs, games, etc. just remember to fully charge it.

katandkits · 26/04/2014 13:17

Dor, I estimate I showed a whole month earlier this time. Im sure last time I just had a little podge bump at 25 weeks but this time it was a proper baby bump. 32 weeks now, looking massive!

Bugs, I just pack books for flying or if you can't concentrate, some sort of mindless game on your phone. I wouldn't be expecting any movement before 20 weeks, I was nearly 22 weeks last time and 19 weeks this time.

maamalady · 26/04/2014 13:36

Me too, kat, I feel huge. Last night I managed to walk into HOTB with my belly while trying to get close enough for a hug. We both collapsed into giggles Grin

I concur with books, or maybe a puzzle/crossword book, bugs. I really don't like flying - on our honeymoon HOTB was explaining all the physics of air movement over the wings as the ailerons were moving, which was very useful as a distraction. Now we always try to sit next to/just behind the wings so I can look at them. I feel more like I'm involved with the flight when I know what's going to happen when, and why.

bugs I got my first movements at 19-20 weeks but could only feel them if I was still (so typically just as I was dropping off to sleep). The baby was going batshit at the 20 week scan and I only felt about 1% of the movement I could see on screen. It was weird to see so much going on in there that I couldn't feel at all. I'm now 22 weeks and am getting more frequent, stronger movements.

ALittleFaith · 26/04/2014 17:49

I first felt Faithlet at 17 weeks. On a night shift, had a very cold drink and suddenly went Ooh!. It felt like being tickled. Proper kicks from about 22 weeks I think.

That's so luffly of your Aunty bugs! :)

Good luck with the competition dor!

Fanks hags. We're doing really well cheers, had a right chipper week off with ROCH this week and feeling better than I have for bloody ages - probably for the last couple of years. So, tis good. If we could just get a crack at making a baybee it would be magic.

Great to hear all the PESH and ESHlets are doing so well. Ooh dor that's wicked. Best o' luck!

ALittleFaith · 26/04/2014 23:17

Luffly to see you Cherrylific. You sound positive :) I'm glad. oops I nearly put kisses, how unESHLY of me!

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/04/2014 10:55

Hey Cherry, glad you're feeling positive

Sinks - how's the sleep going? I am seeing a lactation consultant tomorrow in case our frequent wakings are due to hunger caused by inefficient milk transfer
Frank - how's the boob? Was baby massage good?

Am watching progress of differs with interest; i remember it feeling like such a looong slog for me at the time but it seems to go so quickly when its somebody else

SinkyMalinks · 27/04/2014 14:28

Merk - sleep still crap! Have changed from not letting him nap longer than 2 hrs in the day to letting him sleep as long as he wants, in case he's over tired.

I think my supply is ok - R's learnt that a slow latch = face full of milk and we have plenty of wet and dirty nappies. But, if it works wonders for you, let me know!

We're getting maybe 3hrs at the start of the night, but he tends to wake at 12 and then it's hourly wake ups. I wish he would still let me swaddle him, but he's started screaming blue murder if I try. We co-sleep (with nipple in mouth!) from about 5 am which lets me doze, but I'm not overly happy about it and won't do it earlier in the night for fear of falling into a deep sleep.

GHJ is not being brilliant. I think he lacks confidence, but every whimper and R's passed over. If he holds him, he's sat on the sofa playing on his phone - I can't settle him doing that, but GHJ still maintains he'll only settle for me. Sheesh. Bit pissed off at the moment because R was crying. GHJ had him. I'd finished a 60 (!) min, both boob feed about 30 min before. Yet he's still handed back to me with a "he's hungry". And apparently I'm cruel and R is glassy eyed and distressed because I wouldn't feed him to settle (I walked up and down the stairs for 15min. Controversial).

Annnnd breath. Not feeling overly supported at the moment...

FrankelandFilly · 27/04/2014 14:44

Oh, Sinks that's not great of him. Perhaps it is lack of confidence like you say. I'm very lucky that HWHNN is great with E, but that's probably partly because he knows his time with her is limited, what with only being here at weekends and leaving the country next month Sad

Boob is slowly getting better thanks Merks, still can't feed from it but the swelling is coming down and I'm expressing from it every few hours. I don't get a lot off but enough to give E a top up feed before bed, which I think helps with the sleeping. She's in a fairly regular pattern of sleep 10.30-2ish and then wakes up again anytime between 5.30 and 6.30. She did sleep through completely once, but I'm pretty certain it was a fluke!

Health visitor is out tomorrow for E's 6 week check, even though she'll actually be 7 weeks! I've also booked her 8wk immunisations with the GP

Thankfully the screaming fits seem to have subsided, she still has her moments, which I think are wind related, but either I'm getting better at handling them or they're slowly easing off. She's still not pooing regularly - last one was on Friday morning - but the health visitor and GP seemed unconcerned. If I could just get my boob fixed and E feeding from it we'd be doing pretty well I think.

Bugs that's very unfair of her. Can you try going NC for a while, just to give yourself some head space? You don't have to cut her off completely, just don't go out of your way to speak to her for a little while.
