Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

I think I'm around the 10 week mark but not completely sure.
Sparkle I think mucus is perfectly normal and brown spotting isn't something to worry about. HTH x

Captainmcgraw · 05/03/2014 21:07

Pebble we have the same scan date - I'm counting down the days.

Can I have some food advice please? Am going for spa and lunch for a friend's hen do this Sunday and have just looked at menu and seen that everything non meat based (don't eat meat) either includes goats cheese, Camembert or smoked salmon. I'm thinking smoked salmon the safest bet (NHS appears to agree) - what would others do?

Oh also, spa wise, I'm presuming I'm not meant to go in sauna/steam room? Is hot tub ok?

Bumpforme2014 · 05/03/2014 21:07

Good luck for those having scans tomorrow, I am excited to hear how it goes.

Sparkle I had mostly wet and creamy CM at 6 weeks but anything is possible and I think brown tinge is normal. This week I've had thicker CM that is almost yellow.

Symptoms for me this week are bad wind, headaches and extreme tiredness in evening.

mum2kiss · 05/03/2014 21:25

captain as far as I know hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms are off.limits during pregnancy. There should be signs up at the spa with warnings of anything is unsafe during pregnancy...

BlueberryPoppy123 · 05/03/2014 22:20

captain hot tub is a no... Also was meant to post earlier I read about someone using an electric heated blanket, your mw will tell you these are a big no too as can cause overheating!

pebble82 · 05/03/2014 23:25

For ladies with sore boobies I bought a non wired bra top from George at ASDA yesterday for just £6. It's amazingly comfy. Just thought I'd share.

pebble82 · 05/03/2014 23:28

Ooh and captain that's brilliant. Nice to know I have a scan buddy. Very excited and nervous about it all at once. 3 weeks is going to draaaaaag!

BlueberryPoppy123 · 05/03/2014 23:29

Pebble they're amazing also I spent all day in a crop top from primark... Part of a 2 pack set that was £2.50 did feel like a 10yo but was comfortable all day forgot I wasn't wearing a bra until I got undressed for bed! Lol

pebble82 · 06/03/2014 00:12

Ooh 2.50. I feel a primark visit is on the cards this weekend.

Why am I awake?!?! Yesterday I slept for 12 hours (with a 20 min nap late afternoon too). Today, wide awake! I have work in 7 hours. Tomorrow is not going to be fun.

BlueberryPoppy123 · 06/03/2014 08:29

I get that every few nights pebble so tired just can't get off... Nightmare! Glad I got a good sleep last night with no waking up through the night tossing a turning... Inconsiderate person phoned me at 6:30am why!!! Need all my energy today DS has swimming lessons :( they killed me last week as I still get in the pool with him... At least I can come home and nap after... Positive thinking!!

ohthegoats · 06/03/2014 09:03

Another 'hit by a bus' day today, already. Lots of staff ill, I'm wondering if I'm actually ill instead of just having a 'normal' day. Got that goose pimply thing going on with the waves of nausea. Miserable.

Cakebaker35 · 06/03/2014 09:06

Good luck to everyone with scans today/tomorrow. I've got to wait until 26th and it's driving me a bit bonkers.

captain you can eat goats cheese as its made with pasteurised milk. It's only those soft cheeses that aren't you should be a little wary of. Enjoy your spa day and avoid the sauna!

I've got my booking in tomorrow, will be 9+6. Been feeling pretty positive about things over the last week but suddenly feeling very unpregnant and having nightmares about mmc and all those grim things. I won't be able to relax until I'm past the 12 wks mark, seem to remember being like this first time around too. I did consider paying for an early scan but realised I'd still worry until 12 wks anyway! I'm a nutter Blush

mrsb87 · 06/03/2014 09:17

I know that "hit by a bus" feeling, ohthegoats, maybe more of a "hit by a tank" feeling.

FlipFantasia · 06/03/2014 09:20

Morning ladies

Good luck to all with scans and sorry to those still feeling rough (and yay to those not feeling rough!).

I've been in ireland over a week now. The transatlantic flight with my two was fairly tough (mainly changing planes at heathrow). Now up in Dublin with my sister and bill and their 4 (including 9 month old twins!). The kids are loving all the cousin time.

I'm actually feeling rougher than I ever did during dc1 or 2. My nausea and food aversion has been joined by regular puking sessions. Not ideal with the amount of flying I still have to do (off to Germany for the weekend to see my other sister and her family then back to USA next wed). I'm glad I had a scan showing a singleton or I'd be convinced it was twins!

Am 9+2 and counting down til 12 week scan on 26 March.

ohthegoats · 06/03/2014 09:25

I've got the Harmony scan on Saturday. I've had so much stomach cramp/pain type stuff all along, I will be so shocked if there is an actual baby in there.

For awhile I was so bloated that I couldn't even tell where the pain was coming from - didn't really feel uterus related. The pain is all related to food though (lying on my side reduces it significantly, and eventually makes it go away), which makes me wonder if it's digestion issues every time, but I'm not constipated or particularly windy anymore. Maybe cysts... dunno, nothing on the internet or from the midwife is really helping me 'get' what it could be. The nausea is related to it as well though, so get a twang of pain, then a massive wave of nausea almost immediately.

And weirdly, my right eye keeps closing.

I spend most of my time thinking WTF?

pebble82 · 06/03/2014 10:37

Iv

pebble82 · 06/03/2014 10:40

I've got the goose bumpy sicky feeling too. And weird rumbly stomach reflux thing going on. Like I need to burp but don't. Feeling very grouchy too and trying so hard not to snap at colleagues. So difficult not to scream or cry. Stupid hormones!

magichandles · 06/03/2014 10:53

Whoever mentioned hot cross buns above I would like to thank you. They are currently my go-to snack of choice (with a wodge of cheddar in Blush ) with just the right mix of stodge and sweet.

Grannyapple · 06/03/2014 10:54

I've been having the goose bumpy thing for the past week, incredible back pain & queasiness & feeling shivery...turned out it was a virus...now have a fully fledged cold (2nd one in 4 wks...grr). Today is the first day I've felt ok tho could he because DH did the night feeds for DD so I feel like I had some decent sleep. Still got horrible stuffy nose tho..trying to eat is a challenge as I can only breathe through my mouth at the mo..

Grannyapple · 06/03/2014 10:55

Ooh magic I've got some too...that'll be my snack wgen I'm back from the gym this afternoon..

mum2kiss · 06/03/2014 11:32

Oooh hot cross buns toasted with lashings of butter....I may have to buy some this weekend!

I am going have to see the doc about this pgp...I could hardly move yesterday evening. I got stuck on the floor whilst playing lego with dd! When I got up in the night to go to the loo I was in agony (doesnt help that our bathroom is downstairs!). Its also got to the point whenre its hurting pretty much all the time whether I'm sitting or standing...not sure how I'm going to make it to October like this!

MundayCakes85 · 06/03/2014 11:45

Morning all, had my "12 week" scan but measuring at 10+4 ish. Little bean facing the wrong way so didn't get a good measurement so going back in 2 weeks to try again Smile
On the plus side nice strong heartbeat and lots of wriggling going on, DH had a wet eye moment when it moved Grin
Good luck to those having scans today/ this weekend. It's very exciting xxx

Grannyapple · 06/03/2014 12:14

Yay congrats munday

mum2kiss · 06/03/2014 12:19
