Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

Ahhh loving Saturday. Woke up, felt sick, stayed in bed :-) Going away overnight so must get up soon but its just so nice where I am!

CareBearWithFangs · 01/03/2014 08:53

Morning everyone.

Your posts make me laugh ohthegoats. I know how you feel. I am so bored of feeling sick! I went to a pamper night last night at a friends so at least my nails look nice.

I am currently still in bed with DD, waiting for DP to bring us breakfast in bed.

In terms of NCT I will be joining this time. But I didn't last time and I still have a really nice circle of mum friends, it just took me a bit longer to find them all so there's a few months between my DD and their babies.

I've decided to try and be a bit more positive about things today (have been feeling very woe is me last 3 days). So looking in the bright side The Blacklist restarted yesterday and really looking forward to watching it tonight. Has anyone else seen it?

ohthegoats · 01/03/2014 09:28

Well, I cried in the bath for half an hour, then boyfriend made the mistake of asking if I was alright.

He got it all guns blazing + snot bubbles.

We're going to eat potato waffles and beans, then going on a 'mental health' day for me. Ha.. sob...

And all this at only week 9/10, so all possibly for nothing. Meh.

bumpbangbump · 01/03/2014 09:30

Glad to hear some of you are enjoying a lovely lie in. I'm in bed in a filthy mood with oh. Promised a lie in only to be dissapointed by his unwillingness to take the boy child downstairs for breakfast. I had a strop and have refused to get up even though I've been wide awake for hours. Mature? Don't care right now.

My booking in appointment took about 1.5 hours. Bloods, weight, blood pressure and about a million questions to fill in for your notes. I'm pretty straightforward too so if you have a complicated medical or family history then it could take longer! If we do this again then I must remember that there is no need to take oh. It's boring and annoying!

Feel really yuck. Just want to be asleep all the time as it's the only time I'm not aware of wanting to be sick. It's like there's something in the back of my throat all the time. Anyone else get that?

Sorry for the moan! No one else to moan to yet...

Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish too ohthegoats.

Oh dear bumpbang, can't be dealing with stroppiness from men! Stick to your guns.
Ohthegoats is this all pregnancy hormones or is these something else going on? I'vee had a few moments where when I was sick I would just cry for an hour after. Best to get it all out snot and all!
I have had 2 vom free days....YAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! starting to enjoy eating some food again. I've lost nearly half a stone in about 3 weeks due to all the sickness. I have also registered my interest in some nct classes Smile

officelady · 01/03/2014 10:25

ohthegoats I really do sympathise with how you are feeling. My dh tried to talk to me last night about baby stuff and I just wanted to tell him to fuck off to the far side of oblivi

officelady · 01/03/2014 10:27

Haha fat fingers! Anyway, you get the gist. I'm not ready to let myself think about this being an actual baby - too many hurdles to get over first. When is your Harmony test? In theory I could book mine for next week but I just need a few more days to think about what I would do in different scenarios.

ohthegoats · 01/03/2014 10:30

MrsB - it's definitely pregnancy related. Boyfriend has never seen me cry properly before (obvious small leaking while watching something sad etc), not because I've hidden it, just because I don't really 'do' crying.

Anyway, have a lovely weekend all.. hope everyone feels as good as you are able (I think saying 'good' is inaccurate for most!).

ohthegoats · 01/03/2014 10:34

Cross posted officelady - Harmony is next Saturday. Part of the bawling is worry about that too I think. And the realisation that however it all pans out, positively or negatively, it's going to result in something pretty horribly medical for me. I'm quite adverse to medical stuff, going in to hospitals makes my knees shake, even if I'm just visiting... I don't have a choice because of my blood issues, but urgh.

And I'm definitely not thinking about it as a baby yet.. I just can't. What I really want to do is go shopping for clothes - I would at this time of year anyway, but can't because won't buy maternity stuff until I know it's 'safe', and can't waste money on nice clothes at the moment because a) I'm fat with bloat, and b) no point if I won't get to wear it for very long. Whinge.

MrsDinoRawr · 01/03/2014 10:52

It is very reassuring to read through this thread and realise all the things that I am going through someone on here is aswell!

I have come to realise that whatever time I get out of bed 7am/10am the first thing that happens is that I throw up. Lying in bed and putting it off only delays it. I have tried eating before I get out of bed... didn't end well. Drinking water before I get up at least dilutes the disgusting bile. Has made getting to work on time a challenge. I have to be much more organised the night before so I have nothing to get ready - but I am just so tired after work that I hate getting stuff ready! But as much as I am moaning I am soooo happy to still be pregnant and will take any symptoms for this one to work.

Last week I had one day at work where I couldn't stop crying. One day where I couldn't stay awake. One where I was full of rage. Ahh the joy of pregnancy hormones. I am trying not to take them out on my husband as he has been cooking and cleaning while I snooze on the sofa. Was a bit concerned when I heard him singing Queen's somebody to love... Perhaps a hint that I do need to be a bit more of a loving wife...

It is exciting that people have started having booking in appointments. Mine is on Monday at my house... Can they take blood at your house? I am a bit scared as I have never had blood taken.

Hope everyone is doing ok this morning.

CareBearWithFangs · 01/03/2014 10:54

I'm having similar dilemmas with clothes. I keep looking at maternity stuff but really don't want to buy it yet. I don't want to waste money on normal clothes I know I won't be able to wear. I have some maternity stuff on my watch list on eBay already though.

MrsDinoRawr · 01/03/2014 10:55

ohthegoats I know the feeling about the clothes. I am struggling to find clothes that are comfortable. I have bloated so much/got fat. Can't wait for it to be a bump rather than to just feel fat. I don't want to buy any maternity stuff until I have had my scan. Might need to by some inbetween clothes though...

SweetPeaPods · 01/03/2014 11:03

eBay is great for maternity clothes. Something's go for strangely high prices though, like nursing best tops but with ds I got a bundle of around 12 items for less than a fiver!

bythesea82 · 01/03/2014 11:16

With everyone on the clothing, found none of my trousers comfortable but too scared to buy maternity yet. Got some jeggings (ahhh hate that word) in M&S yesterday, so comfortable and look like trousers rather than leggings, do them in lots of colours. A good inbetween option.....

Sorry to those feeling wobbly/sick, hopefully a relaxing weekend might help!

officelady · 01/03/2014 11:29

I have reluctantly bought 2 pairs of size 10 trousers for work (normally I'm an 8). I just couldn't face trying to do up the buttons on my "thin day" trousers any more which only left me with 2 decent pairs and I can't be doing with washing them mid-week. The size 10's hang off me though! But they are bloody comfortable. I reasoned that they would be good in the future for post-holiday binge belly and just general fat days. I've switched to wearing longer tunic type tops over my normal trousers for work so the bloat isn't too obvious (I hope!).

Cakebaker35 · 01/03/2014 11:49

I've got the absolute rage today too. Extraordinarily emotional and I even cried with snot bubbles when I dropped my toast Blush I'm so bloody hungry that alone makes me want to cry. But I do know it will pass, that's the only reassurance i have as this is second time around. My dh finds it hard as I'm not normally a crier or very emotional but now I'm a basket case. I seem to remember things getting better once into the second trimester....clinging onto that hope! I wish I could have a lie down but no chance with dd bouncing off the walls. Time to head to the park.

pebble82 · 01/03/2014 11:59

Sorry you ladies aren't having much fun today. I don't feel too bad. Sore boobs still, I screamed at the cat when she jumped on me this morning! Feeling positive (for once) as almost got to 8 weeks with no problems (over 8 weeks if I go by the docs calculations based on last AF). Try not to think the worst, it'll just drive you insane.

mum2kiss · 01/03/2014 12:23

Hey all...the rage is boiling within over here!!! I havent spoken to my dp since last night...he has man flu and for some reason expects me to give a sh*t!! Especially when whenever I mention my.suffering he says "you're only 2 months along you know..." apparently that means im not entitled to.feel like crap yet!

I cant remember who is was who mentioned pgp but I believe that's what I have! My doc told me it was sciatica last.pregnancy but after reading up on pgp its clear thats what im suffering with :( when I told dp he said "great so you probably wont be able to move at all in the next couple of months...this is going to be a looong 9 months"

My 5 year old threw a super tantrum on thursday night and has had a bad attitude ever since! So I have 2 stroppy people in the house with me...the house is a disaster....and I am refusing to speak to anyone!

Thanks for the ranting space!

MrsDinoRawr · 01/03/2014 13:54

I was having a look at ebay - seems a sensible option as don't want to spend loads on maternity clothes. Would rather indulge in cute outfits for the baby.

mum2kiss sounds a little stressful in your house. Lots of people don't get how we are feeling because there is not much to see. Especially men! pgp doesn't sound fun. Hope you don't have it.

I really really need to start doing some pelvic floor exercises. TMI alert... I can't be sick without needing to change my underwear afterwards... So glad I am sick in the mornings before I go to work. Just glad this is a recent addition to the symptoms and that when I was sick in the middle of the road a couple of weeks ago I at least could carry on my day in the same underwear.

Oh the joys!!!

What is everyone's worst/most embarrassing incident so far this pregnancy?

ikeaismylocal · 01/03/2014 14:04

Ebay is a good idea for maternity clothes, I loved my over the bum jeans from last pregnancy, felt like I was wearing pjamas all day!

My flu seems to be going away, I still have a cough and I have lost me sence of smell and taste! This is great news as smells made me feel sick but now I don't feel sick as I can't smell anything! I have also lost my appitite, I have to force myself to eat, this is very unlike me, usually I have the opposite problem. The only down side with the lack of smell is that I don't know when ds has done a poo in his nappy.

I am feeling very weepy, we are going to start night weaning ds tonight and just the thought of it makes me sob, not sure how helpful my sobbing is to the situation, might have to go and sob in the bathroom.

I have realised something fun about having an end of October baby, we can have halloween birthday parties ever year!

CareBearWithFangs · 01/03/2014 14:44

Mum2kiss that sounds really tough. DP tried telling me my symptoms might be psycho systematic today and I felt like throwing stuff at him.

My positivity from this morning has completely disappeared, spent most of the day throwing up and have finally given in and put my pj's back on after spending only 3 hours dressed today. I feel so sorry for DD she loves the weekends and always looks forward to "mummy daddy days". And so far today I haven't been able to do anything with her, DP took her to the park for an hour so I can rest.

CareBearWithFangs · 01/03/2014 14:44

And I love the idea of Halloween birthday parties ikea Grin

mum2kiss · 01/03/2014 14:52

Things still very frosty around here...on the bright side though ive got a bit of house work done ;)

5 yr old is snuggled with me on the sofa. Dp is snoozing on the other sofa!

My buttocks get shooting pains through them whenever I get up or try to get comfortable! Im going to have to see my doc I think. I'm currently walking with a limp! Dp has looked over on the couple of occasions ive yelped in pain but is clearly not brave enough to say anything lol!

mum2kiss · 01/03/2014 14:54

Sorry to hear youve been so sick carebear :(

Im seriously considering putting my pjs back on too and hibernating under my duvet!
