Maybe, you're all quiet lovely. Is this a good sign? Wink (also bearing in mind that she's not on Chat on the Other Place... clearly I'm reading too much into this!)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/03/2014 20:44

Grin Musical I'm still here!!! I'm just shattered tonight, so am lurking. Thinking of you all x

Thanks Keep x

ThedementedPenguin · 20/03/2014 21:21

Trix I'm due on 05/04. So I have 2 weeks and 1day until my due date. Feels like ages away.

Maybe how exciting? Hopefully this is things kicking off for you.

Musical great news about the house. Brooking you hear back soon and get some good news.

I've been getting lots of pains today. Lots of stabbing pains in the cervix. Also having to stop and breath through a few bh. Really hope this is my body getting ready for it. I didn't get any of this with ds so it's quite exciting in a sore kind of way. X

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 21/03/2014 20:38

Hello everyone, another crazy week, Ds is cutting big molars and not sleeping, DH has Man flu!

I have exploded in the bump department in the past couple of days so gladly received my maternity jeans in the post today! I feel properly pregnant now seeing my bump peeking out when I look down and wearing elasticated waistbands Wink

On Monday I have my 16 week mw check early at 15+2 :/ had my blood results come back as not being immune to rubella when in my other pg I have been immune, seems really strange and not managed to have that clarified as I don't see how that is even possible?

music sorry your feeling rubbish, I hope the scan comes around quick and how exciting is your house prospect?!

I am eagerly anticipating baby watch too! penguin I had the stabbing cervix thing from 38 weeks and regular bouts of BHX at 6 in the morning with dc2, was lovely Hmm definitely body preparing though!

too shame the sciatica is back :( I was i'pressed at the sound of your physio.

Sorry to those I have missed, I have the memory of a goldfish right now :/

musicalmrs · 21/03/2014 20:46

Hurrah for exploding Purple! I've exploded too, and have a proper bump the majority of the time that I can no longer hide. Running a big workshop tomorrow and worried how many people will spot it - would rather keep it quiet until after the scan, but not sure if it'll remain an option. I've been in maternity trousers for the last few weeks, but have just realised most of my dresses accommodate a bump - so much more comfortable.

House is very exciting! Being constantly ill less so... a heavy cold now, my immune system is obviously shot to pieces this time round. I think I'm feeling movements too (popping), so I'm a bit curious as to whether my dates are right. That said though, I felt movement reasonably early last time and had an anterior placenta, so makes sense it would be even earlier this time round, if it were posterior, plus being the second one..

Pen, sounds like it couldn't be too far off for you. How exciting!

Maybe, thinking of you lots! :)

ThedementedPenguin · 21/03/2014 21:13

Sorry don't think I updated after my scan. Baby hasn't really grown this week is still measuring 36ish weeks but has put on a lb. Was roughly 5lb 5oz last Friday, now is 6lb 6oz. So happy enough. I am booked in again next Friday to check weight gain. Also been offered a sweep next Friday as he wants to get things going early.

Been lots of pains today and baby has moved down. He said baby is very low today and had to push hard to get a good picture of baby's head.

purple is there any way you can get the blood test redone? Hopefully you'll get it all cleared up soon.

Away to bed as I am exhausted. Good night all x

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 21/03/2014 21:14

I have felt movement a few times, I think you recognise it more when you know what your feeling! I am really looking forward to your scan!

I have just come out of being constantly ill, hope that might give you hope? Still bugged by asthma, usually it is something that recedes when pregnant unless your me Hmm

I think I will go maternity dress shopping soon, going to be vital over summer I think.

musicalmrs · 21/03/2014 22:55

Meant to say Purple, how weird re the rubella thing. As Pen says, can you not have a retest? Does seem odd that you'd be immune for two pregnancies, but not this one.. Hurrah for you finally coming out of illness! That does give me a little hope. Last time I remember getting lots of bugs, but I managed to beat them all quite quickly (except food poisoning!) - none lingered as long as they have this time, when it seems to be one after another.

I'm very nervous about the scan on Thurs. Luckily I'm snowed under with work at the moment to keep me busy, so I can't dwell on it too much...

Pen, glad the scan went well!

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 22/03/2014 08:24

pen music I am not sure what they will do, I have rang the MLU twice to get my mw to ring lab etc and I haven't heard back! Hoping that as my appt is soon it will be clarified for then as it has made me a bit anxious :/

music if you are feeling movement and are huge I am sure there is at least one baby in there Wink
I was terrified before my scan though, so I understand Smile

penguin that definitely account for cervix grinding and some great things in your scan :)

keepitgoing · 22/03/2014 09:06

pen that does sound like he's grown...! they just get fatter at the end anyway don't they?

Stacks · 22/03/2014 09:18

Morning all. I've been really busy with DS, as usual, which seems to have made me a rubbish Brooker! Just can't get on my phone with him around, as he then throws a tantrum if he can't have it, and when he's sleeping I've got so much to get done that I just don't seem to get time to post. I try and read where I can, but it doesn't feel like enough. I never appreciated just how much free time I had when I worked full time!

I've been worrying a bit recently about baby, I'm getting quite a lot of movement, but no where near as much as I used to with DS. The movements are still quite gentle too. I'm fairly sure I was feeling much stonger movements from DS by now too... I'm just over 26w, which one app says is the 3rd tri? Do you think I should be feeling more? I know it's really hard to say without actually feeling it for yourself! How much would you say you were feeling at this point maybe and pen, and others that remember?

DH has brought DS back, so phone break is over. Will try and come back on later and be less me me me.

keepitgoing · 22/03/2014 09:29

hi stacks. congratulations on reaching the third trimester! Smile do you know where your placenta is? that can affect movement. I think I felt her quite a lot a night then, sometimes in the day. I think each pg can be vv different depending on placenta, baby's position and just how wriggly they are! what is important is to know what's normal for you. eg she wakes up after lunch etc. and notice if something changes.

I loved that stage....

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 22/03/2014 09:52

stacks Dd was very active like a bag of eels! dS was much calmer! I too worried about the difference, he is fine obviously and I think it is easier to miss movements when you are chasing after a toddler, so try not to worry too much. I think it is 28 weeks where some sort of pattern in movements may be established. It is much more about what is normal for this baby rather than comparing Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/03/2014 12:09

Stacks, I agree with purple, it's what is normal for this baby, rather than a comparison between babies. My bumps has always been really active, she still is, but I know lots of people who have had much calmer bumps Smile

Good news on the scan Pen!

Stacks · 22/03/2014 14:14

She's just so quiet when I am. If I have a bath, or lay down on the sofa, drink hot or cold drinks, or go to bed, she just doesn't seem to move much. They're the times I used to feel DS most, he'd make ripples in the bath, and always seemed to do big turning movements in there.
I've got a consultant appointment on Monday, so I'll chat with her about it then. I'm hoping she just confirms what you've all said, and what I've been trying to tell myself. It's just a bit hard sometimes.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 22/03/2014 14:22

Stacks, lovely, have a look in your blue notes and see if it says where your placenta is. I do think, though, that if you're getting a lot of movement, then that's what matters. If there was no movement I would totally panic start to worry, but you are getting lots. Maybe you're just remembering the last part of being pg with DS, when the movements would definitely have been bigger and stronger than they would be now at 26 weeks. Can your DH feel movements from the outside yet? When are you next seeing the MW to listen to the hb? Also, I feel most movements when I'm sitting/lying down, ie at work/when M's asleep. If you're up and moving then you might not notice them so much, or if DS is sitting on your lap wriggling around.

Purple, hope you get answers soon about your rubella results. I thought you had German measles/vaccine once and then were immune for life, but maybe not.

Musical, I was constantly ill for the first 10 or 12 weeks as well - I had 4 colds in one month! Have improved now, though.

Pen, if baby has moved down lots that sounds like things might be going to happen soon! Excitement!

Maybe, how are you doing? Totally fed up with being pregnant yet?

Things are ticking along here - 22+3 now, feeling a bit stuck in the doldrums. Wish time would hurry up! Anyone else annoyed by the lack of spring/summer mat coats? I have a big wool coat which is really getting too hot now, so I want something a bit lighter ideally a trench coat in a summery colour like yellow or blue, which might be asking far too much but all the shops seem to either only stock big winter mat coats or else really expensive ones. Asos has a grey mac but it cost £70 new and I'm not paying £70 for a maternity coat. It's now reduced to £30 but sold out in my size, which is useless. I would be prepared to pay perhaps £40...is that utterly unrealistic?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 22/03/2014 14:29

Sorry, X posted, Stacks. I'm glad you've got the consultant appt coming up - Brooking that she can be v reassuring. It's not Dr Alexander, is it? She's got the bedside manner of a refrigerator. In the meantime, perhaps it would be worth going along to Triage and asking to be monitored for a bit, just to set your mind at rest. I'm sure DD is fine, though! hugs

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 22/03/2014 16:16

I lost my post. Hmph.
too what about this coat! The pic from the main menu looks better, a bit more than you want to pay, jjmmbb usually have a discount codes about though www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+navy-maternity-mackintosh-in-maternity-coats-and-knitwear+b4832

I am sure I am immune... 2% fail rate on jab and my mum thought I had it as a child anyway :/

TheLittleFriend · 22/03/2014 19:56

ThedementedPenguin · 24/03/2014 08:55

Happy Due Date Maybe

Hope you are resting up a bit. Xx

cartoontrickster · 24/03/2014 10:03

any news maybe or pen?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/03/2014 10:29

Thanks Pen Smile

No news from me Trix. Just more cramps, tightenings and a massive show yesterday. Just no baby Wink. How about you Pen?

musicalmrs · 24/03/2014 10:52

Happy due date Maybe! That all sounds very exciting Smile

Dino, I've been meaning to ask.. re where you live, are you in the city itself or nearby? The place we're hoping to move to is about 20, 25 mins to the city centre!

ThedementedPenguin · 24/03/2014 11:54

No news here. I think baby has engaged but missed midwife this morning so will be Friday before I find out. Fingers crossed.

When's your next appointment maybe?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/03/2014 12:24

Wednesday Pen. Think it's just a waiting game here, as I know she is 5/5ths engaged and have been keeping up with all the 'usual' things to get her moving Wink. I will be refusing a sweep as don't want them, so think I just need to bide my time Smile. Do you have to have another scan this week?
