isitme1 · 27/02/2014 07:51

Started bleeding red early hours guessing it is from the bleed in front of sac x

Missingcaffeine · 27/02/2014 08:11

Really sorry to hear that broody. Stay strong. x

kicksandgiggles · 27/02/2014 08:40

So sorry broody Sad Thanks

kicksandgiggles · 27/02/2014 08:41

Hope things are okay with you too isitme.

Missingcaffeine, any luck getting in earlier for your scan? It must have been such a surprise that you could be further along than you thought!

WishUponAStar88 · 27/02/2014 08:58

Oh broody I'm so sorry. Hope everything's ok isitme x

waybuloony · 27/02/2014 09:06

My heart goes out to you Broody. I hope you're being taken care of in RL with lots of hugs and tissues. It seems so unfair...

KatharineClover · 27/02/2014 09:08

So sorry broody xx

waybuloony · 27/02/2014 09:09

Missing what a lovely surprise, though a bit of a shock. I'd love to wipe a few weeks off the long countdown! Hope you do get your scan sooner, but I'd second the comment about dates moving, mine have always moved later by about a week so you may have more time than you think. Do you have an idea of your cycle length?

waybuloony · 27/02/2014 09:12

Isitme did they say to expect more blood? This pregancy malarkey is a bit of a worry isn't it!

Have we heard from Bex?

isitme1 · 27/02/2014 09:16

Waybuloony they said its either going to absorb back into body or come out vaginally. Obv go back if its heavy, clots, tissue etc which scared the daylight out if me as any bleeding makes me think/ reminds me of thehhemorrhage which really scares me.

Missingcaffeine · 27/02/2014 09:30

I rang local hospital USS, and they have this policy that you have to see the midwife first for counselling and have at least 24 hours between that and the scan to think about things. I've not met a midwife yet or had my booking in, so I'm not going to get a NHS scan today.
I'm going to call round a few private clinics, as I'm desperate to know my dates now, as I'm a bit clueless. So strange as I had my period in Dec on the right day, just really light and short. I'm now thinking about all the things I did thinking I was not pregnant when maybe I was! Loads of ridiculously hot baths, all that wine and lovely bacteria filled cheese over Christmas and New Year, not to mention the coffee! Poor baby!
Only thing is, I want my OH with me for the scan, and he can't make this pm due to a very important meeting. I'm wondering if I just leave the nuchal fold scan and just have the regular scan another day.

Kitkat I would tell your close family and I would ask people at work to keep it quiet. I have a similar work experience - told a couple of people out of necessity (as I was so ill and needed their support and the few that I am closest too) and one guy (who I like, but in retrospect, probably doesn't get why ladies need to keep these things quiet in early stage) asked me if I'd told my new boss about 'my condition' in front of loads of the team who don't know! I glared at him and said 'no I haven't told anyone!'. Rumours will be flying as my office are a bunch of gossips! Luckily, none of them are my Facebook friends or have anything to do with me outside of work - so no risks there. There comes the next worry though, if I am further along, it's going to look like I knew I was pregnant at interview! Start my new job end of March - it's not going to be the best introduction!

Sorry for long post.

TheOnlySeven · 27/02/2014 09:34

caffeine tbh it depends on your views. I've never had the nuchal scan with any of mine because for me it wouldn't change anything.

duzzlightyearsmum · 27/02/2014 09:39

So sorry to hear such sad news broody hope you have been given plenty of RL love!

I have my scan this afternoon and am really quite nervous. Last time round I wasn't nervous at all just excited but this time I have horrible nerves :( will post an update this evening when hopefully I will gave good news!

Xxx

Missingcaffeine · 27/02/2014 09:59

seven I don't think it would change anything, but would give us longer to accept and mentally prepare - which I think is more important for my partner than me.
Got a private scan booked for 19:50 tonight - so a long day of waiting ahead! At least that means OH can come with me :) We are going on holiday next week, and it's quite likely my NHS appt would end up being whilst we're away, and really don't want to wait until I'm back, as I might be closer to 16 weeks by then.
Good luck duzz.

rockin20s · 27/02/2014 10:10

caffine i really wish this would happen to me but sadly i was tracking my ovulation so i know to the day when i conceived! 11 weeks today wish i was closer to 15!!!
duzzlight good luck with the scan, fingers crossed for you!
isitme1 try to relax, go back to bed and try to sleep, stressing wont make the bleed get better, rest will
broody hope you getting lot of love at home! thinking of you

isitme1 · 27/02/2014 10:30

Good luck duzz
rockin I meant the bleeding is most likely from the bleed they saw so not worrying me too much.
Its darker now so hopefully thats that.
Ps
id love to go back to sleep but I have a house to clean, 2dc to sort out, ds1 up on his tube feed and dinner cooked.

broody have you gone for the scan yet?

TheOnlySeven · 27/02/2014 13:23

broody did you go for your scan today or have you just assumed that it's over? Really sorry if you've been and had bad news Thanks

duzz good luck with your scan.

caffeine glad you've managed to get a scan, can't wait to know what your due date actually is.

rockin it's so easy to wish time away during pregnancy isn't it? I'm trying my best not to and just enjoy it (I'm one of the odd people who love being pregnant) as I know this will definitely be our last.

Inbl00m · 27/02/2014 13:34
