I've thought about that cookie.... But because I've been stupidly Dr Googling about mmc and read that a test would still show up positive if I'd mc, I don't think anything would resolve these concerns of mine!! Bar that scan of course!! Interesting though that your test was faint before your mmc was detected. Maybe I should.... Grrrr, broody, get a bloody grip!!!!!

guys please stop doing pg tests. Its pointless. Even if the worst had happened it could take weeks for your hormone levels to drop low enough to give a negative test. Even if it was fainter that could simply be the test not a show of how strong your hormone levels are.

Just wish the 12 week scan would hurry up so I can start buying stuff!!

RhubarbCrumble1 · 17/02/2014 06:40

Managed first day yesterday at work without Cyclizine which is massive progress as have felt very poorly since 6weeks.
Plus I'm generally a fainter so was expecting lots of light headed moments (hot & busy where I work) but found at least yesterday my pregnancy faints cured by....cake & then a 2nd slice by 10am. Felt very much human again...then worried something had happened to baby! (Good grief!)
12 week scan today at 4pm.

lucidlady · 17/02/2014 07:36

How's everyone doing today? Hope those suffering with sickness are starting to feel better!

I'm going to tell my boss today that I am upduffed. I'm only 11 weeks but he's away on holiday for a fortnight after this week and I don't want him to find out from someone else. Plus I am starting to look pregnant as opposed to a bit bloated so might as well just get it out in the open.

Feel a bit nervous about it all but that might also be down to the fact that today would have been my due date if I hadn't miscarried a few months ago. Feel a bit weepy to be honest Sad

Think I'll just go to work and sit quietly with a cuppa and a bun!!

lucidlady · 17/02/2014 07:36

Ps good luck today Rhubarb!

whiteblossom · 17/02/2014 07:48

good luck twosacrowd and Lucidlady

11 more days until my 12 week scan but Ill be 12 weeks in 6 days Grin

have a good day everyone xx

BexBoo12 · 17/02/2014 08:51

Good luck today rhubarb!!

Aww lucid lady I'm not surprised you're feeling weepy, you poor thing. Don't feel as though you can't have a moment today to feel sad for what you've lost. Take the time out to think about stuff if you need to, and it's ok to feel sad after what happened. Give your tummy an extra rub today Smile

11 weeks for me today!! 12 week scan next Wednesday when I will be 12+2. So excited and nervous all rolled into one!!!

broodylicious · 17/02/2014 08:56

lucidlady sorry to here that today may be hard for you, thinking of you today!

glad your feeling better rhubarb

cookie i did Pg tests every day fro the first 2 weeks but after that i didnt see the point, they were as dark as they were going to get. just try to look ahead to the scan!

Girls exhaustion has completely hit over the weekend. I've been trying to get out in the mornings to get stuff done but after about 3pm there is no moving me form the sofa! i was falling asleep on the sofa at 10pm last night.

does your energy come back after 12 weeks? oh i hope so 2.5 weeks till i hit the 2nd trimester!

broodylicious · 17/02/2014 11:53

12 week scan update - spoke to yet another lovely lady at the antenatal office today and she still hadn't got me booked in :( She put me on hold while she physically sifted through all the files and eventually found it. I can expect the letter to come through within the next couple of days apparently :)

I asked how likely it is to get an appointment in my 13th week and she said it's not out of the question as appointments are still available, so praying and hoping for w/c March 3rd - it's my dad's birthday on March 1st so I'll miss that but was thinking I'd buy a Happy Birthday Grandad card and stick the scan photo in saying "See you for your next birthday, love Bump" inside as a way to tell them we're having their next grandchild (mum and dad will be looking after dd while we're at the hospital, no way she'd cope with waiting around, so the news will be quite literally hot off the press!) I was going to get a t-shirt for dd with "I'm going to be a big sister" on the front but can't bring myself to buy it as I'm still a bit edgy about it all...

Hello everyone, can I jump in? I am 10 weeks pregnant with DC2 and due on 18th September :)

waves hello

topmammy · 17/02/2014 14:25

Good luck for your scan rhubarb!

Went to Tesco earlier and bashed into the side of the bread shelf things while trying to maneover around some people and the trolley handle pushed into my stomach. Wasn't too hard I don't think but enough for me to worry now! Good job I have scan on Weds if I'm going to be Mrs. Paranoid now Confused Never thought shopping at Tesco could be so risky lol

topmammy · 17/02/2014 14:58

Welcome CloverHeart Smile

Newlywed2013 · 17/02/2014 15:23

HG is still being rotten can't even lift my head today or keep any of my meds down! Booked into the hospital tomorrow for some rehydration! Never felt so awful! And starting to think I can't hack pregnancy! Starting to resent baby! I want to be able to do things such as get out of bloody bed! Have a sip of water and not throw up!
I don't feel like me anymore!!!!

rockin20s · 17/02/2014 16:29

newly you poor thing! hope you start feeling better soon
broody ring them again in 2 days, just in case!!

broodylicious · 17/02/2014 16:44

topmammy hope you're ok. I crashed into the side of dd's cot the other night and then got bashed and battered at soft play - they're so brutal at such a young age, these days! It is a worry but as I have a fair chunk of fat surrounding me, I'm hoping bean is safe.

YAY!!!! I HAVE A SCAN DATE!!! The lady in the antenatal office must've been so bored with me calling that she phoned this afternoon and said she's booked me in for next Thursday!!!! I'll be 11+6 by my calculations, which I hope won't be a problem in terms of dating? She said this morning that because we are going for the NT tests, they have to be done between Feb 23 and Mar 14 so FX I won't get turned away or told off by the sonographer.

So, you've got just a few more days of me posting my psychotic, ridiculous worries, ladies, then I promise I shall revert to the normally very cheery and positive Broodylicious.... or, in case of the worst, vanish off the face of Mumsnet.... Wink Confused

Yay I got my scan date through aswell! 10th March at 8.30am :) Count down has officially started.. Wore my maternity trousers at work for the first time today. Strangely my ms was better today. Would highly recommend new look. The design is fab. They look just like my normal work trousers.. Will tell work definately after my scan. Then I should know an accurate due date. (If u remember I think I am due the same time as the other lady in the office in on holiday - oh well. U can't plan these things).

CumbrianExile · 17/02/2014 18:40

Good Luck rhubarb

My scans tomorrow - so excited Grin

marie1w · 17/02/2014 21:42

Good luck Cumbrian. Mines Wednesday, excited but nervous too! X

JulieHE · 17/02/2014 21:44

Had a private scan this weekend as hospital appointment almost three weeks away. Turns out I'm 12 weeks today. Eeek! Pleased we got the dating scan - EDD 1st Sept.
Nervous now about nuchal scan this weekend as I'm an older mum. It'll probably be fine. But still a worry.

BexBoo12 · 17/02/2014 22:43

Have we heard from rhubarb??

Missingcaffeine · 17/02/2014 23:14

I'm only 8 weeks and my loosest pair of work trousers feel tight. Is this normal or have I eaten too much junk carby food and just got fat?! I do feel quite bloated and I don't think I have upped my calorie intake, but I have been eating stuff like white bread and crisps and sugary processed cereal (those cinnamon squares - I forget what they are called) that I normally avoid. At the moment, I've just gone off most healthy food apart from fruit due to constant nausea. I'm not really exercising either - just the odd short walk - actually the fresh air is very good for the nausea.

Exciting news all of you who have your scan dates! Rhubarb, I hope your scan went well.

Newlywed, I really hope you feel better soon. It sounds like you've had a really bad time. I am nowhere near as bad as you by the sounds of it, but soooo desperate to feel 'normal' again and not constantly knackered and nauseous! Today was one of the better days I've had, but vomitted when putting the bins out this-evening (I had to do it as partner away with work at the moment).

Rockin my friend is just past 12 weeks and she says her energy has returned and she feels normal again. I know everyone is different, and some struggle throughout, but I think most people start feeling better and all of these horrible symptoms hopefully reduce as the first trimester ends.
