bugs I'm hovering between the two but only post on the BESH fred outside work due to the sweary title.

Chop chop frank. I like being right and I said you would lay tomorrow!

Mummy euro is out of hozzie but in a lot of pain. Apparently despite being in the 2 week window to refix bones (just) they had to rebreak her arm and then set it and put the screws in. Ouch. Still, at least they have given her the good drugs. When I spoke to her earlier, she could see clowns. Hmm So now we just have the chest ishoo to deal with next week.

FrankelInFoal · 07/03/2014 09:36

Morning hags, just checking in to say still no news here: another day of walking and rotating on my ball for me Hmm

I've got a stiff neck from sleeping awkwardly last night and am generally feeling pretty grumpy and sorry for myself today

Euro glad your mum's op went ok and hope the drugs are keeping the pain at bay, with or without clowns.

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/03/2014 09:45

Frank please hurry and lay, I will panic if I am first Grin
Think my plug has started to go

SinkyMalinks · 07/03/2014 09:51

Oh. My plug shows no sign of moving

Had good feedback from uni thesis wotnot so am happy and relieved. Can potter around with it without stressing about a big re-write.

So. Baby, I'm ready for you

Glad your mum is out euro. Glad she's getting strong painkillers. As long as she's not upset by hallucinations/illusions then if carry on with the strong stuff. X

OP posts:
FrankelInFoal · 07/03/2014 10:06

Well done on the feedback Sinks, another thing to strike off the list. I don't expect my marks from my 2 recent assignments to come back before the end of the month. I'll probably be full of raging hormones and have to be surgically removed from the phone to stop me demanding a remark - I don't think they're my best work to date Blush

I'm still hazy on the plug issue, I've definitely had more discharge than normal, and it's been quite thick , but I'm not 100% sure it is my plug. However, I do refuse to Google it because there are some things you don't want in your browsing history

I've booked my 41 week appt but the only appt they have available all week is on Monday so I'll be 40+6. I do hope this baby gets a move on, I'm not even sure I want a sweep Confused

pinkr · 07/03/2014 10:21

just popping in to wish all the soon to be cresh good luck and a sneezily easy birth Grin

MyNameIsWinkly · 07/03/2014 10:25

I don't think a sweep sounds like much fun frank. Hopefully Turnip will get shifting. Its not looking good for her making an appearance on this fred, is it?

Well done on the thesis feedback sinks :)

merks that's exciting! Are you 38 weeks now? Not a bad time to go.

euro glad your mum's our. She's going through the wars, poor thing. Glad they've not tried to fob her off with 2 paracetamol, though shame about the clowns - clowns are creepy.

dor hope in-laws visit goes well, and that you got some rest the other day.

Hi everyone else!

Bloody cousin who laid her baybee the other day stole my first name choice! And she knew it was my first name choice, we talked about it when I was in Ireland 2 weeks ago and I told her my names but she refused to disclose. Grrr. (Lighthearted, btw!)

HWCA and I painted the living room and kitchen yesterday. It looks great but I am sore.

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/03/2014 11:24

I made the fatal error of googling. Need brain bleach as google helpfully gave me a bunch of images at the top of the page

FrankelInFoal · 07/03/2014 11:39

Aw yuck Merks

Do any if the CRESH have tips/advice they'd like to pass on? We're all starting to sound a bit desperate here!

FrankelInFoal · 07/03/2014 11:40

I should have added, who on earth puts pictures of their mucus plug on t'interweb? That's just all shades of wrong Shock

MyNameIsWinkly · 07/03/2014 11:51

I've never felt the urge to photograph any of my pantsnot before now, I can't imagine the desire hitting me in the early stages of labour :)

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/03/2014 11:53

Be glad it wasn't you who googled!

I'm looking forward to getting home this afternoon and listening to my hypnobirthing again...I had a minor panic this morning and was a long way away from the "calm, centred and in control" that I am supposed to be!

eurochick · 07/03/2014 13:02

I'm so glad I decided to check this fred over lunch. That put me right off my houmous....

winks that's bloody annoying about the name. I remember screeching "noooooooooooooo" when I was pregnant this time last year and one of KFZK's friends announced their name choice. Grrrr.

Thanks for all the posts about mummyeuro. I'm going to try to get down to see her this weekend. I'm glad she wasn't fobbed off with rubbish drugs. Because of all her previous surgery, she has quite a high tolerance to drugs at this point, so she needed the good stuff.

Lord. Give me strength. I may stab someone soon.

MyNameIsWinkly · 07/03/2014 18:49

bugs I think that, despite them claiming growth is uniform, there is a bit of a range. For what it's worth, I had a private scan at 7 weeks (by my dates), baby measured 6.6mm which (according to the consultant) put me at 6+3. The crown to rump length was slightly smaller than would be expected compared to the gestational sac and the yolk sac, but still 'normal.' And I was certain of my dates, we had sex exactly once and I felt myself ovulate.

So yes. I would say embryos vary more than we're led to believe.

MyNameIsWinkly · 07/03/2014 18:52

Oh, and my edd at the 12 week scan was 3 days earlier than at the early scan.

dor, probably best not to stab someone now that you've announced pre meditation. Makes it harder for the defence. What's going on? Can you claim some sort of pregnancy related malaise and go lie down in a dark room?

ALittleFaith · 07/03/2014 19:10

Evening!
Fwiw I didn't notice losing my plug - only the gushing of waters. Walking round Tesco set my labour off.

That's so rude Winks! I'd be fuming! So not on to steal a name. I kept Faithlet's name close to my chest - MSB was most insistent, wouldn't even tell the midwife delivering her until she was born!

That's great news Sinks. Time to relax! :)

FrankelInFoal · 07/03/2014 21:08

What the others said Bugs, the growth scans are very variable at this stage so I'd focus on the fact that you've seen a heartbeat so all is progressing as it should.

Keep calm Dor, lots of deep breaths.

Still nothing to report here, other than my mammoth walk around the village only seemed to knacker me rather than entice Turnip to make an exit Hmm

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2014 07:48

Agree w the other hags. Heart beat and growth in the normal range are pretty good signs, bugs!

Wassup, dor? ILs being ILs?

My friend who was due on March 1st had her baby yesterday. It made me all teary, cannot wait to see the little person... In my life, it's only now that you're next, frank! get that turnip out. sharing a birthday with the real frankel would be fab...

My bestie who's been ttc for about two years had a surprise BFP last Sunday. She was due for the next batch of investigations next week. So happy for her. As for me, I was awake with incredibly painful obstipation between 12 and 2 am, that and some worrying signs on the pelvic front make me feel like death. Anyone with suggestions on how to keep stuff moving thru?

FrankelInFoal · 08/03/2014 07:55

Ah, yes the Frankel birthday. It appears my preggo brain got itself in somewhat of a muddle. He was actually born in Februsry Blush. Still, when people asked me for my predicted dates I said 8th or 11th. Either way I'm hoping it's soon, I've gone beyond a bit uncomfortable and grumpy and am rapidly approaching "weepy and raging".

Congrats on your friends baybee Drizz Grin

eurochick · 08/03/2014 08:50

bugs I agree with the other hags. The size varies early on. That's why they wait until 12 weeks for the dating scan as supposedly measurements are uniform then (although as IVFers know, they are not completely as often the dating scan will give you a different date to when you know conception occurred).

frank I've heard getting emotional is supposed to be a good sign...

drizz a friend of a friend also had her baby yesterday. It's bizarre I felt nothing. I looked at a pic someone showed me and thought "I'd rather have a puppy". I think years of infertility have broken any maternal instinct I had. Still, it'll be different with my own, right....?

On the constipation, I've heard prune juice is supposed to help.

It's weird, isn't it, euro? I think years of pessimism and bitterness really do colour how you see it all. I saw the midwife yesterday, everything normal, listened to the heartbeat, and yet it doesn't feel real. Baybee is thrashing about right now and still I'm expecting to wake up, because this situation seems just too unlikely to be believed.

I concur with everyone else, bugs, these very early tiny measurements have a fairly wide margin for what is normal. I was never told "6+2" or whatever, just "normal for 6-7 weeks", which is much less of a headfuck, I think. Given that I was 7+1 on the day of the scan, baybee was clearly a little bit behind the curve, but then she was as a crap embryo (technical term) too. By the time I got to 12 weeks, the measurements put EDD three days earlier than the known real dates, so there's plenty of time for things to change. Seeing a heartbeat is the main thing :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2014 09:46

Just off to buy some loads of prunes. It's the combo with bump, as well. Lembie likes to lie horizontal in the top part of my bump with his bum wedged against my sluggish intestines!

It's nice weather today! YAY

Of course you'll be different with your own, euro! And of not you can always get a puppy too Wink
