Bugs very soon your boobs will be 75% nipple and all sexiness will disappear :(

SinkyMalinks · 04/03/2014 07:04

I keep telling myself that my nipples will stop growing at some point... Sympathy to the f cups winks! I'm the same, but started at a d and hopefully (,,,) won't change much till the milk comes in now.

But, love the boobs bugs! My boobs are (were? Hmm ) always one of my best assets. Big enough, pert, no crazy big nipple... As a pear shape, those and my little waist were my best bits. My legs are short and thick and my arse is massive. I can only think pregnancy is ruining me! Grin.

Getting hair done today. But back is still spasming. I get highlights, so am going to have to try and tolerate about 3 hours in the chair. Wish me luck...

FrankelInFoal · 04/03/2014 07:40

Ah yes, the giant nipples! They're pretty freaky aren't they! My boobs sadly only graduated from an A cup to a B cup, but that hasn't stopped them seemingly doing their job - I keep waking up to find stains on my pyjamas and if I give them a squeeze, a la the correct hand expressing method, I can force a few droplets out myself

Well, EDD is here and I have nothing to report so far, not a single twinge. I've got to wait in for a delivery today so no chance of a walk to get things moving, so it's back to rotating on the ball for me!

Decisions made. Sick day for me. Really sore throat and completely knackered. Going to farm The Little Mister off to the childminder and then go back to bed.

Excellent plan Dor, you need to look after yourself, there are some nasty bugs doing the rounds - HWHNN had Man Flu last weekend Hmm

I have decided to make pancakes for breakfast, with lots and lots of golden syrup - let's see if all that sugar will get Turnip shifting Grin

eurochick · 04/03/2014 10:58

Mine have gone from a B to C so far but seem to still be growing! I am worried I will be left with saggy empty balloons by the end of this.

Rest up dor. it sounds like you need it.

I went to the gym for the first time since December last night. I found it a bit odd. I'm used to really pushing myself, but felt like I couldn't, so it seemed sort of pointless, but I guess it's better than nothing. I think I need a couple of sessions with a personal trainer who specialises in prenatal stuff to guide me as to what I can and can't do.

FrankelInFoal · 04/03/2014 11:32

I think general rule of thumb for exercise when diffed is no abdominal work, nothing high impact and nothing that involves you lying on your back. Apparently there are some pregnancy exercise DVDs though I've never looked into them

MyNameIsWinkly · 04/03/2014 11:46

euro I've been a few times. The main issue (I believe) is overheating so I've avoided running, and make sure I can still speak. Any movement is good, plus a bit of gentle weights work has helped me feel toned on the parts that still can get toned :) Is there a pregnancy pilates class near you? I love mine and it helps massively with sleep.

dor I'm pleased you're taking care of yourself. Enjoy the rest.

Understandable Bugs and we're all here if you feel you want to come back "full time".

I can't remember which vitamins came out on top, but I took the Sanatogen vitamins as they come with the Omega 3 which they one also recommend. I didn't know I was supposed to be taking Omega 3 until my midwife asked me if I was taking it at the 12wk appt [ hmm]

ALittleFaith · 04/03/2014 19:49

Personally I went for the Tesco ones. Cheaper than sanatogen but virtually the same ingredients bugs. Pregnacare have more iron which can bung you up.

FrankelInFoal · 04/03/2014 19:56

YY to what Faith said! I stopped taking Pregnacare (on NurseFaithy's advice I might add!) and my bloating eased massively.

MyNameIsWinkly · 04/03/2014 20:31

I found the tesco ones really good, they didn't bung me up in fact quite the opposite sometimes.

Totally understand about you taking a step back, i've dipped out a few times (nobody seemed to notice Grin ) - I think its good to have some headspace. See you when you come back.

maamalady · 05/03/2014 00:11

I've been taking Pregnacare for about 2.5 years now, no side effects as far as I can tell so I'm just carrying on with them.

I've been out for pancakes, but either pancakes or fizzy pop don't agree with me, and now I feel all bloated and uncomfortable :( It rather ruins an evening with friends when you spend half the time thinking about your digestive system and going to the loo.

eurochick · 05/03/2014 10:39

I've been taking Pregnacare (had been taking the Conception vits while ttc, now on the Plus (with Omega 3)).

I was very bloated in the first tri, but it has eased considerably now.

bugs I understand the need to take a step back. Do whatever you feel is most helpful.

frank if I'm going to win the sweepstake, you probably need to think about starting to get things moving in the next 24 hours. Wink

As some of you might have seen from the BESH fred, I'm having a bit of a worrying time with my mum. Her health problems have just been relentless over about the past 20 years - first of all a kidney problem necessitating 7 ops in a year, then breast cancer, then a bone secondary and now this "something" on her lung. It's so unfair - she lives well (decent diet, slimmish, hardly drinks, hasn't smoked since her early 20s (although lived with my chain smoking dad while he was puffing 30 a day until I was 21 when he finally gave up)) I have an anxious week waiting for her to see the consultant. Meh.

FrankelInFoal · 05/03/2014 11:57

Sorry your mum, and the rest of your family, are having to go through more worry Euro, I'm keeping everything crossed that it amounts to nothing.

Still no signs here, though my BF popped over for a cup of tea and is convinced my bump is lower again. If it drops any further it'll be round my knees!

As it's such a beautiful day I'm going to take myself out for a walk round the village shortly, see if that gets things shifting!

eurochick · 05/03/2014 14:59

That sounds lovely frank. It's a beautiful day in London too.

I have a puzzle. I always give something up for Lent (I'm an atheist but when my mum was in hospital and nil by mouth at this time of year I gave something up in sympathy and have done it every year since to sort of remind myself how lucky I am that she is still here. Usually I pick something like coffee, alcohol, chocolate. This year I am already off coffee and alcohol. I have just started to be able to stomach chocolate again after the nauseous past weeks and have already had some today, so that's kind of out. Biscuits and crisps I eat quite rarely anyway, so they would be doable but not much of a challenge. Any other ideas PESH?

FrankelInFoal · 05/03/2014 19:13

You're too good Euro Grin What about cake or a particular brand of soft drink?

My walk was lovely, I didn't even need a coat! I'm not sure if it did much good, though I did feel a lot of pressure down below afterwards, but that has eased now. We'll see what midwife says tomorrow.

MIL called this evening to "see if there's any news" Hmm, because we would obviously forget to tell her.

She said she's been keeping her mobile phone on in case I need to call her to take me to hospital Hmm. We've already explained to her that it us highly unlikely we'd need her in that capacity - she lives 10 minutes from the hospital but would have to drive half an hour in the opposite direction to collect me, then drive 40 mins back to the hospital. I've got friends in the village on stand by in case HWHNN isn't here and they'd get me to the hospital much faster! Plus she's 74 and her driving is awful - I've already told HWHNN I'm not comfortable with her potentially driving Turnip anywhere!

CatsCantFlyFast · 05/03/2014 19:19

Frank I think your MIL is reading the same script as mine!

FrankelInFoal · 05/03/2014 20:09

Lad I'm not the only one, but my sympathies to you Merks. How are you feeling?

CatsCantFlyFast · 05/03/2014 20:11

I'm feeling ok, it seems I've suddenly hit my stride. I'm exhausted tired but otherwise mostly out of pain, and am excited and feel quite ready. Would like her to arrive on Sunday and have advised her of that Grin

maamalady · 05/03/2014 20:23

Give up cake? Oh dearie me, the very thought Shock

Imminent baybee-arrival is very exciting! I hope you both lay soon, without too much MIL nonsense, Frank and Merk :)

It was a gorgeous day here too, so I gave the car it's annual wash. It is amazing how much better the wheels look when they're clean... I was pleased I could still reach across to wash the middle of the roof too - I suspect that won't be an option for too much longer Grin

How are my fellow Juners? My belly is big enough now that doing up shoelaces and getting up from the sofa is starting to be definitely awkward, but otherwise everything is ticking along quite calmly.
