Maybe just give up one type of cake then Wink

How's Sinks doing? No sneaking off to have that baybee without telling us young lady Grin

I guess the big question now is will we get one (or more) new ESHlets arriving before the end of this fred? Only 98 posts to go!

SinkyMalinks · 05/03/2014 20:52

Alwight.

Not much to report here. Got hair cut yesterday, bought last few bits today with mum - now the owner of 60 maternity pads and copious cotton wool pads and pleats! Also have a changing mat, finally! Have about a million muslins and bednest is here... I think we're ready...

Getting a few stabby twinges which are really quite sore, but think it's baby settling lower rather than anything more exciting. Back is better though - can move without spasms now! Ghj was a bit worried as he has heard back pain can be a sign of labour. Didn't stop him getting rat arsed last night though.

Would be happy for baby to arrive anytime now - have a sweep next Friday - but hoping he might move of his own accord pre EDD

sigh inlaws are here.

FrankelInFoal · 05/03/2014 21:52

Hope it's a peaceful visit Dor

FrankelInFoal · 06/03/2014 09:46

Morning PESH, hope everyone is well this morning. There might be signs of progress here at Frankel Towers - woke up a few times in the night feeling ache-y and this morning I had quite a lot of discharge, which I think might be my plug breaking up. Nice!

So it's off for yet another walk this morning and back on the ball until I see the midwife this afternoon.

SinkyMalinks · 06/03/2014 09:49

Ooh, exciting times Frank!

Am I permitted to tassel when an eshlet appears??
Thinking positive thoughts for the appearance of Frankels foal

SinkyMalinks · 06/03/2014 10:10

Well, gyrating on a birthing ball while nipple tasseling must be a good way to get a baby to drop, right?

It'd be rude not to!

eurochick · 06/03/2014 11:01

Are you feeling better for your day in bed dor?

frank how good of you to get things moving in time for me to win the sweepstake... :) How about a March cluster lay? Come on sinks and merk - get gyrating. Wink

I feel like cr@p today. I didn't think I slept badly, but I must have, probably worrying about my mum. They ended up using a local rather than GA for the bone pinning, because of her breathing issues, but then the feeling didn't return when it was supposed to, so they kept her in overnight. My dad was really stressed about it. I think he has been helping her through these night episodes when she can't breathe, so he's worried about her being on the ward alone. I'm waiting for a call to see how things went overnight.

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/03/2014 11:05

Euro no wonder you're feeling crap. Subconscious brain would have been worrying away while you tried to sleep. Can you call and find out the situation rather than waiting around?

I'm off to get a pedicure. Then I am going to pack my hospital bag. Then everything is ready and I am happy to join in with a cluster lay (provided it involves sneeze births only)

SinkyMalinks · 06/03/2014 11:09

Don't think I've said it yet euro, but really sorry to hear how unwell your mum has been and what she's having to go through at the moment. Hope the arm can get healing now. And I think you said she's waiting for more info about her lungs? Fingers crossed its nothing serious. My mum has been through some really shitty health problems over years and it can be really hard to offer support when both of you know there is no "fix". We're also going through the first stages of trying to get ghj's parents abit closer to us after a health scare, but understandably they want to stay in their house, carry on independently, etc. it's just not going to be feasible long term.

No signs things are happening here, except for the stabby vag pains (how on earth can say that without sounding grim?!), so don't think there'll be an imminent arrival from me.

Am going to walk to the supermarket though, . It's crazy, but I'm a bit nervous- I normally have to stop a few times now and will feel like an idiot on my own!

MyNameIsWinkly · 06/03/2014 11:37

euro I can't imagine you had a restful night with all that going on, and stress and worry is exhausting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it all comes back as something easily fixable. Poor you though.

Hope things will be moving along soon frank, sounds promising!

My cousin had a baby girl yesterday, which is lovely. I am glad I am diffed and making reasonable progress or it could have been very bittersweet news - the baby I lost in the summer would be due this weekend. I am surprised by the effect it still has on me.

Today we are painting. Hmm.

FriendofDorothy · 06/03/2014 15:19

I had my 16 week appointment today. All well. Nice strong heartbeat although it took her a minute or two to find it which scared me.

Sorry about your Mum Euro. It's all a bit shitty really.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/03/2014 16:09

it's odd how it's still haunting while diffed. I went through a patch of remourning my mc a while ago.

Is frank achually laying? And I was at work most of today.

Hurrah for the heart beat, dor. Are you feeling a bit better?

Must be tough winks. But, your baby is growing nicely and will be here sooner than you think. With my iron clad ovaries, I have no previous EDDs to think about, but any birth announcement was hard, and to be honest, still is a little uncomfortable (I have no idea why - crazy residual emotions)

Frank is noticeably absence, isn't she driz? Maybe this is it!

SinkyMalinks · 06/03/2014 16:15

Xpost bugs - I really hope the next scan can give you a bit of piece of mind, if only for a few days!

OP posts:
maamalady · 06/03/2014 16:17

Excellent news, Dor :)

I dunno if Frank is laying, but I'm hoping the birth is on Saturday - 8th March, not actually Frankel's birthday and all...

Hope your mum is okay today, euro, that all sounds very stressful for the whole family.

maamalady · 06/03/2014 16:25

Not just you, sinks, I still find differs/births/talk about diffage very hard to deal with. Being diffed just means that people assume everything is fair game to talk about, but I've got over three years of pessimism and bitterness under my belt, and it's hard to let that go.

It must be even harder for those of you who've had miscarriages :(

FrankelInFoal · 06/03/2014 17:31

Sorry to say I'm not laying as we speak! Been out for the afternoon to see the midwife and get the food shopping done.

Midwife was happy with everything, she could only feel 2/5ths of Turnip's head so she's very well engaged. There we're trace amounts of blood in my urine, but she said it was nowhere near enough to worry about. She's told me to book a 41 week appt for a sweep and hopefully I won't need it!

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/03/2014 18:01

Am catching you Frank... only 2/5ths palpable by the doc this afternoon (and protein in my wee which was the reason I was there). Any more twinges or tightenings? I've had none

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/03/2014 18:03

Am shit at saying the right thing/sympathy, so for those having a shitty time I really hope it gets better soon. I can't imagine the pain of previous EDDs getting easier with a pregnancy, so hope you can find a way to get through them as best as possible

FrankelInFoal · 06/03/2014 18:04

No not really Merks. I got a few tight feelings when out for my walk but I think that was more discomfort than anything else.
