With you in spirit today Winks and hoping the scan helps to reduce the menkul, if only for a few days like Drizz says. Are you finding out what flavour you're having?

Drizz, this will be the first test of whether she's going to be a good baby or not. If she turns up before my assignments are done, that'll be a black mark on her record Wink
In all seriousness, the college know I'm up the duff so I just want to do as much as I can in the next few weeks so that I can relax for a few months before my final research project is due in August.

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/02/2014 09:45

Thanks all. Yes to finding out the flavour - IF it cooperates better at this scan than the previous ones! I originally didn't want to, but HWCA really did. I'm absolutely shattered, home from work at 3am, tossed and turned and then wide awake from 7, boo.

Doesn't ginge have her 12 week scan today? Good luck ginge, hope all goes well.

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 09:48

Oh definite boo to lack of sleep Winks, are you back in work tonight too?

Good luck Ginge!

Someone really should be keeping a spreadsheet of scan dates you know!

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/02/2014 09:52

No work tonight but meeting a friend this afternoon then going to a leaving do tonight so no chance of a nap sadly.

What's funny is that my mum was massively opposed to finding out the flavour, to the point of hugely overreacting when it was mentioned, and making me swear I wouldn't say anything to her even if everyone else knew - now she knows we're going to find out she's bursting to know! Grin

eurochick · 12/02/2014 10:35

Oooo, good luck to today's scan folks. You will get to see your baybeeeeee! I can't wait for mine (Monday), in part because I have promised to let myself buy some mat clothes then if all is well and it took me 20 minutes to find something I could wear to work this morning!

I feel "odd" today. Sort of sicky (I have only every had "evening sickness") and shivery and a bit odd. On the bus on the way in, I felt like I couldn't breathe. Hoping it is just a result of the big changes that happen around 12 weeks and nothing to worry about. I have a job interview in a couple of hours. I am really not in good shape for it, but the timing is terrible anyway, so che sera sera.

My printing doesn't seem to ever have emerged, thankfully. What a moment of panic that caused! I must get my home printer sorted so I can print the sensitive stuff there.

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 10:38

Euro did you also feel light headed and like you might faint? If so that's exactly what I've had and the midwife put it down to low blood pressure and possible low blood sugar. Try to make sure you are snacking on a regular basis, just to keep your energy levels up. Cereal bars are great for keeping in your handbag.

FriendofDorothy · 12/02/2014 12:17

To see the obstetrician this morning bebause I am fat. He is absolutely lovely and the same one who was involved with our treatment last time so he was so delighted to see us back and pregnant again more easily this time!

We also had a bonus scan and they have a new machine which was super sensive and saw loads more than our 12-week scan last week. I saw a beating heart and the brain and an amazing picture of the spine and waving arms and legs. It was incredible!

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 12:19

Excellent Dor Grin

How did things go Winks?

I'm anxiously checking the BESH fred every few minutes for an update from Bugs.

FriendofDorothy · 12/02/2014 12:20

I think it's good news from Bugsy :)

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 12:21

A win! Yay Grin

maamalady · 12/02/2014 12:22

Ooh, weird, euro. I've had the "can't breathe" thing a few times, but find if I do a couple of self-conscious deep breaths it goes away. I first got it at five weeks (while watching Captain Phillips at the cinema and trying not to feel seasick) and still do every now and again

maamalady · 12/02/2014 12:24

Excellent news, dor :)

And hurrah for bugs! I'm not posting on the BESH thread now, as I really don't feel like I belong, but very pleased for her Grin

FriendofDorothy · 12/02/2014 12:25

You do belong. It's just different.

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 12:26

Oh don't worry about that Draf, I hang round like a bad smell over there Grin

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/02/2014 13:00

Hooray for bugs! Brilliant news :)

All great here too, we have a very Very wriggly baby girl!

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 13:01

Yay! Chalk another one up for Team Pink Grin

maamalady · 12/02/2014 13:03

Hooray! :)

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/02/2014 13:03

I was convinced it was a boy. Except when I had dreams about having the baybee, it was always a girl. Score one for the subconscious!

Nokkie73 · 12/02/2014 13:08

Squeeeeeee twonks. Pink ones are great (babies are great actually). Am delighted for you.

euro I cannot believe you are nearly at the 12 week mark. It has gone stupidly quickly.

Hello to everyone else. Am really pleased for bugs. Good luck to gingefor scannage today too.

Nokkie73 · 12/02/2014 13:09

Oh and dor hurrah for your scannage too. Sorry -I missed that post

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 12/02/2014 13:11

Hurrah for good scannage action. Yay for a good peek in dor. And relax and enjoy all the good news for a while now winks. Funny that your unconscious "knew"...

Nokkie73 · 12/02/2014 13:20

franks I am so excited for you. How are you feeling ? Any twinges of Le foof ?

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 13:23

Great news Winks

FrankelInFoal · 12/02/2014 13:25

No twinges here so far. Bump has dropped though and feet are getting puffier, unless I remember to massage them! Turnip is definitely head down (as evidenced by feet in ribs) and last week the midwife said she has started to engage. Next appointment is a week tomorrow, so if she's still in situ we'll see if she's moved down any further.

Nokkie73 · 12/02/2014 13:27

OMG. It's all happening in franks womble. My puffiness went after about three weeks (just so you know). Literally disappeared overnight, thank god.
