panic wow. .. 10 weeks to go! it made me realise that that might be true for me too. How was your scan?

I'm feeling huge too but most people say I'm very "neat".

dramajustfollowsme · 01/03/2014 16:28

Haven't posted for a while as I lost my Grandad and things have been a little hectic.
When we realised he was really ill we booked a 4d scan so he could watch the dvd.
He unfortunately, didn't make it until the day of the scan - today. He thought it was a boy. We thought after the 20wk scan that we saw something between the legs.
We were all wrong! It is another lovely girl. I would have been happy either way but I'm delighted my girls will have a sister. My sister is my best friend.Smile
Now to negotiate on names!

CleverOl10 · 01/03/2014 18:07

Sorry to hear about your grandad, drama. Lovely news about your little girl though! Grin

Liquidambar · 01/03/2014 18:52

So sorry drama.
But congratulations on your little girl! :)
Hope you are well

Redcliff · 01/03/2014 22:36

Drama - that must be so hard for you. Hope your ok.

I feel like June is a long time away but once Easter hits it will be just around the corner!

panicmechanic · 02/03/2014 10:52

So sorry Drama :( sending you big hugs.

My scan was good baby is growing normally and all appears well. They picked up that the cord is running through membrane and the insertion is unchanged so I will just have lots of scans and then they will advise when the right time will be. I am less panicky about it now but wish I had a date so I could get my dd organised etc. I do have a date in early may for an overnight study do that they can administer steroids. All fine though and a very active baby in there!

Hope you are all having great weekends

dramajustfollowsme · 02/03/2014 11:19

Thank you!
My Granda had a fabulous life and was such an inspiration to many people. I am sad he won't get cuddles from this baby but so delighted about the wonderful relationship he had with DD1.

Hi All, would like to join the fb group but don't know how to PM GillyWillyBilly. Don't seem to have a PM option. I am using a tablet, can anyone tell me how to do it? Thanks Smile

GillyBillyWilly · 03/03/2014 22:06

On the app go to MORE > PMs and then it's the top right hand icon.
Well that's how to do it on the apple app anyway!

Panic - really glad your being looked after so well and hope your doing ok. I have the worst ligament pains today - getting to the station was really hard this morning. My midwife said about taking pain killers but I never remember as the pain doesn't kick in for a few minutes after I leave the house.

MarlenaGru · 04/03/2014 07:57

Midwife appointment today! Have my FMU pot ready this time Grin

HannahC1989 · 04/03/2014 16:20

Gilly could u message me to? I thought i was good with technology ? Baby brain maybe? X

Redcliff · 04/03/2014 23:35

Hi Marlena - how did it go?

CleverOl10 · 05/03/2014 10:48

Had a mw appt today and no pot so had to do sample when I got there. Pressure got to me and only managed a cm. D'oh! Always the way. Baby wouldn't even sit on my bladder! Wink

MarlenaGru · 05/03/2014 20:04

Lol clever my previous surgery gave you pots as you arrived. This is way more civilised!
All good thanks redcliff. Urine, BP and heartbeat all checked. Back again In 4 weeks which surprised me. Given it is my second I have had quite a few appointments I think?

Stacks · 06/03/2014 07:47

Morning all. My next MW app isn't till early April, seems a long wait as my last one was late Feb. Second baby I guess, so even fewer appointments than last time. It doesn't help this whole pregnancy/baby thing feel real though!
I've had so little to say on the pg front, twinkle kicks loads, but I'm not always completely aware of it as distracted by DS often. Bump has popped out a bit, so people are commenting occasionally on it, but generally only how small it still is. I'm wearing pre-pg jeans today, with a belt, and am comfortable. All maternity trousers are in the wash - DS gets me covered in more food and snot than I thought possible :)
My sister has been diagnosed with pg related liver problems, if she has another bad blood test tomorrow then she may end up with induction next week (37w though, so not too scary). Still, if she's got it, then there's a chance I might get it too, as it seems to run in families. Will ask for extra blood tests to check at next app. Luckily it's not dangerous for mum or baby really, just causes awful itching!

GillyBillyWilly · 06/03/2014 07:55

Hi Hannah!

Sent you a message... Hope you got it! X

I have a midwife appointment 4 weeks after the last one - am guessing its because I am older than most preggers folk. Have had a really full on week at work and feel so done in . Still got stuff to type up this weekend :(

CleverOl10 · 06/03/2014 21:51

Had first one in ten weeks yesterday (26 weeks) but got them every two weeks now due to having a small baby last time. Quite like that though as it means I get to check up on baby more regularly!

Mitchell2 · 07/03/2014 17:08

My midwife appointments are every two/three weeks - I think the longest I have had is 4 weeks but I know that from now it will be quite regular. I don't think its because there is anything particularly wrong I just think they have them a bit more frequent with my trust. not sure if I agree - my midwife is useless!

MarlenaGru · 07/03/2014 19:48

I had 8 weeks, 16 weeks, 24 weeks and next booked at 28. I think from then probably 32 and then maybe 36 and then weekly?

jaykay987 · 08/03/2014 07:18

I'm currently in my 9weeks gap between 16w and 25w appointments. It does seem like ages to wait but I know once it cones round I'll be annoyed at the briefness of the appointment and what a waste of time it felt! No pleasing a pregnant woman!

Not looking forward to my next appointment as I think they will measure me for the first time. As the consultant put it - basic measures will include a little too much if "me" so I'm not sure how that'll work. My growth scan isn't booked until 34w so that's a long time to wait to check growth rate imo. But we'll see.

dramajustfollowsme · 08/03/2014 08:15

My next appointment is in 5 weeks time. I'm getting them 6 weeks apart because my last pregnancy was complicated.
I have a growth scan at 32wks.
I agree with a toddler around, it isn't easy to focus on bump.
