well done bumble and congratulations great name

sarahlou1uk · 02/08/2006 18:58

Congratulations Bumble!!!

burstingbug · 02/08/2006 20:16

Congrats Bumble!

Itching is only across my bump, mainly on the right handside. I'm sure the mw would have noticed it last week when she checked me as its kind of gone spotty and scabby from so much itching , but neither of us said anything. Not going to worry too much as I'm seeing her on Fri and baby should be almost here this time next week.

dressedupnowheretogo · 02/08/2006 21:37

woohoo bursting bug just thought id let you know i wasnt itching as bad but my mw took blood samples each time to make sure it wasnt that cholititus thing

lunavix · 02/08/2006 22:06

congrats bumble! What a fab name!

We've finally packed mat. suitcase and I'm feeling rather poor as I@ve been spending lots on ebay (bought tens off ebay, bought dh some cds, just bought a brand new playmat) and I'm now eyeing up a baby bouncer chair!

What does everyone think? It's here I think the floral on the pink one is a bit ... well floral, but the blue is just soooo cool. I'm happy to use the blue if this is a girl which it's meant to be, but I do quite like the cute wooden dolls!

eenywifemum · 03/08/2006 01:41

CONGRATULATIONS BUMBLE I love the name too!! It is so original!! Well done! and you sound soooooooo happy, I am thrilled for you!! Sorry you had such a hard birth but it was well worth it!!! you sound beaming!

Luna I LOVE the blue chair with the guitars! agree though the dolls are adorable ! I really dont know which I prefer... probably the blue one??? dont know sorry that is no help! I am rubbish with making choices lately!

booby lol at you and your squirting nipples!! mine are still bone dry!

Olivo and Bursting - I'm really sorry about your itchiness!! God its one thing after another with pregnancy isnt it!! Hope it gets much better quickly!

dreamy that is great news about your appointment!!

hi to everyone else as well!! BHM sorry hon I dont know about the raspberry tea

morning!

CONGRATULATIONS Bumble !

bursting - my itchiness made me cry last night, it was like torture - dh had to go and get an ice pack to rub over it for me. I'm definitely going to get them to check it out at my doctors appt this morning, they've got to give me something before i go mad!!
and so much for thinking I'd escaped the stretchmarks...

olivo · 03/08/2006 08:34

luna - i like them both! very cute! i've got a blue checky one from mothercare that i got 2nd hand for 3 pounds but these are tempting.............

YellowFeathers · 03/08/2006 08:35

melsy · 03/08/2006 08:41

Morning

CONGRATULATIONS bumble10, welcome Dixie, funky chick already!

Ive been having a cry this morning ,I dont know whats worng with me, Im so confused , I dont know whats going on. Last night , surges/tightenings got stronger and stronger by 10:30 , I couldnt even read or talk , had to concentrate on breathing through them. Was doing my hyono cd and fell asleep. Woke up 2am NOTHING, woke up 7ish NOTHING.

Ive had a wander around the house , up and down stairs and its very slightly there and a bit niggly , but not like it was. Im working so hard to get relaxed(yerrr what an oximoron) , I dont understand why it just wont move on. Its like a tease!!! I suppose Im disapointed as I was hoping by 2am Id be in hospital. Crying again , chill radios helping to make me more teary. Its got some very moving stuff this morn.

Im being really stupid now hey. Sorry if IM not acknowledging everyone , I just dont quite know what to do.

olivo · 03/08/2006 08:45

Hi melsy. sorry to hear you're feeling crappy and things arent happening. is there any way you can go out and do something almost to take your mind off it - you can be sure that if you go somewhere where going to the hospital would be really inconvenient, things 'll happen!

keep your chin up!

Salamander · 03/08/2006 10:06

Sorry i'm a bit late - haven't had PC access but CONGRATS BUMBLE and your little Dixie-Chick!

How very lovely!!!!

Sorry that her entrance into the world was a crazy one for you but NOW SHE IS HERE!

Perfect!!!

Salamander · 03/08/2006 10:09

Hey howsabout this - just a suggestion...?

Our list of August Threaders, could we show first-timers and seasoned parents?

Just seems like it would be nice to know the difference between people like Eeny and myself with our first boy and those like DreamyDowler (if there are any ) with baby Number 21 on the way

Any thoughts??

trix1 · 03/08/2006 11:10

Good morning Ladies,

Congratulations Bumble10 - love her name.

Melsy, maybe its the early stages of your labour, and soon it will be the real thing.

Im feeling so moody and hormonal today dont know whats going on, just feel really strange though.

lewsmummy · 03/08/2006 12:01

sorry hijack*

I'm selling a tens machine in the for sale boards if anyone's after one.

Hijack over

dressedupnowheretogo · 03/08/2006 12:30

hi just woke up after a lovely nights sleep my hubby laid our new hall floor so now my house is officially finished its taken 3 and a half years but its done

and now he wants to redecorate the kitchen coz we started there b4 madam turns up and only 10 days left

glad ecryone seems ok

melsy poor hunny maybe you got all this last time but wasnt as aware more of it braxton hicks kinda thing

olivo · 03/08/2006 12:32

hello again! been to the doctors, not much i can do about the itching apparently, it's all just to do with the stretching but using cool water on a face cloth to soothe it. hmmph! oh and a bit nervous as according to the measurements, the baby is already about 7 and a half pounds and still 3 weeks to go! yikes!!

on less scary note, had a letter from the nursery that says it might have been rescued and not have to close - keep your fingers crossed for us! i really want it to stay open!!

melsy, hope you are ok.

olivo · 03/08/2006 12:33

congrats on your house being finished booby - you're a brave girl if you do start the kitchen now!

dressedupnowheretogo · 03/08/2006 14:09

ive decicded strawberries and cream rock oh yes

and i think our thread is being abandoned and we are only 3 days into august come on ladies where are you all

olivio glad itching is nothkng to worry about come on how big are your boobs then

BigHotMama · 03/08/2006 14:24

Hi everyone, congrats Bumble and welcome to baby Dixie - lovely name. Sounds like your sooo loved up! Cant wait to be in same situation now!

Well I seem to be getting few niggles down below which are a little sharp now and again but nothing major to report! Grrreeaat! Sorry your feeling shite Melsy, sounds to me like its the start of things though so fingers crossed here for you hun!

Olivo - 7'n' half pounder already - its all them chunky kit kats hun

Booby bet your counting them days down now aint ya? I got 3 days till I'm due so hoping for a baba soon!

Baba has got hiccups again - has them at least 3 times a day? Is this normal?

Because your talking of itchiness I've just started scratching my bump now, thought I'd got away with no stretchmarks but have noticed a slight faint one on my right side of bump but feel slightly proud of it as I know its all for a good cause! (And I've never had a six-pack to show off anyhow!)

Today I woke up starving and I've been getting hunger pains today which I havent had in ages? Think baba must need extra energy for his big entrance into the world so hoping it could be a sign - god I sound so desperado!

eenywifemum · 03/08/2006 14:44

hello all!

Olivo I am so sorry about your itching!! It sounds awful! Is there any cream or anything you can put on it besides a cool wet cloth?

BHM i have read that babies can get the hiccups LOADS so dont worry I think 3 times a day is normal! And also it doesnt hurt them the way it can hurt us because their lungs are full of liquid, thats nice to know because hiccups always really hurt me & if I didnt know that I would get upset when Alex had them.

booby dont worry I am not abandoning the thread!! I love it! Booby how is the home improvements going?? brave girl!

Melsy I Am sorry hon I can see how you would be feeling very frustrated. Can you try to take your mind off of it for a while? I think Olivo's suggestion of doing something inconvienent for a trip to the hospital is a great one!

trix maybe you are imminent!

WEll i didnt sleep last night til past 4 am and woke up today at 2pm. Am getting VERY upset and frustrated by this as I want to be on a more normal sleep schedule. i hope to get it sorted by the end of the weekend. wish me luck!

BigHotMama · 03/08/2006 14:50

Oh Eeny, feel for you babe, have you tried winding down with hot milky drink and a warm bath before bed or even reading a good book? Hope you can get it sorted because it just makes you feel so lousy and thats the last thing you need.
My sleep patterns seem to have got better over the past week for some bizarre reason, I still wake up to turn over a few times but am back to snoring my head off within seconds so DH says ha!

eenywifemum · 03/08/2006 14:54

Thanks BHM I had a warm bath last night but not right before bed time - I think I will try all that tonight and over the next few days. I just feel awful being awake all night and then sleeping til between 12 and 2 the next day. I have a good feeling about getting it sorted this weekend though. Warm milk has always done the trick for me in the past I dont know why I havent tried it yet??

Well sometimes I probably havent because I feel to sick but that wasnt the case last night so I will go for it tonight! thanks !
