go on Yellow...

YellowFeathers · 01/08/2006 13:37

I'd have whipped em out, head held high and said "well I'm not going till I've got a bra!"

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it along with the I'm holier than thou attitude!

eenywifemum · 01/08/2006 13:39

hehe well Yellow I think I am going back this weekend time allowing so I will try that!! I'll video it for you

i think 36 weeks is reasonable to get fitted for a bra - that is what everyone says! anyway she clearly doesnt understand that i plan on going into labour on 37 weeks and 1 day so can not possibly wait until 38 weeks to get fitted!

She was a nightmare though she had such an awful attitude.

OP posts:
Salamander · 01/08/2006 13:40

BLIMEY!

You can bet she'd have shaken in her Mothercare boots!

YellowFeathers · 01/08/2006 13:41

Its not on.
If you get the same attitude just ask for someone who will fit one.

eenywifemum · 01/08/2006 13:41

I will do. plus there is another mothercare 5 mins away - I can always leave and go there if I want to.

OP posts:
YellowFeathers · 01/08/2006 13:42

Like you haven't got enough to organise and buy. Last thing you need is someone refusing to sell you a bra!

YellowFeathers · 01/08/2006 13:42

Right must go and sort these horrid papers out!

eenywifemum · 01/08/2006 13:44

I know!

I will get it sorted it is the one silly thing left hanging over my head.

Now Yellow be a good girl and go get your stuff done!

Hi everyone, thank god its cooled down (for now anyway!)

Big congrats to Pink and baby Caleb, bet your well proud of yourself hun, a drug-free birth too - how brave! .

Eeny, i got fitted for nursing bra at Mothercare at 37 weeks, at the end of the day I dont know why they have to wait for a certain week - my boobs didnt grow during the last few weeks. Go sort em' out hun!

I am going to get my sister to help me get signed onto MSN as she is signed on to this pc but under her name.

Melsy and Booby so happy for you both to be feeling positive after your appointments and Booby for your date.

Had lovely weekend at my moms caravan, loads of BBQ food and diet cokes. Had a few wasp attacks tho - one of my biggest fears is wasps and it hurts like hell to have to keep jumping up and running away from them when your in beached whale mode eating a sausage and have your ass cheeks squeezed into a deck chair lol.

Pucca, hope your ok, and let us know how things move for ya! exciting stuff!

Olivo, I'm with Yellow on wanting to saw off limbs if my Dh was sawing wood in my living room, think you need to hit him over head with your chunky kit kat chick! Go get him.

Well, I'm now 39 weeks and 1 day and havent even had a BH yet or a show, am starting to think I'll go really overdue and get fed up. Must mention about the raspberry tea's though that after having one today baby is moving in some mad positions and feels like limbs are trying to climb out of belly lol. Have started getting texts off friends and family asking why baby isnt making an appearance yet? or any signs yet? or have i dropped yet? Its a bit annoying keep having to tell people that am still waiting and that everything is ok! I want something to start soon as am bored sh*tless!

Sorry for the rant everyone just getting bit frustrated now, had my hospital bag packed 2 weeks ago and just keep looking at it wondering when I'll be on my way!

Dreamy I'm with ya on this retchid heartburn, its a killer isnt it? Cant seem to drink anything without it becoming a problem! Even crisps give me heatburn too? Milk just aint helping at the moment either! Cant wait to start feeling normal after baba is born! My ankles and feet are just a big joke at the moment - look very cartoon-like!

Sorry for long post!

dreamydowler · 01/08/2006 18:26

I have my growth scan and consultants clinic tomorrow morning hope they dont want to start me off before my daughter is back from thailand in two weeks .

olivo · 01/08/2006 18:42

Hello again, just woken up after a bit of a nap! dh has managed to clear up the sawdust and has cleaned the kitchen floor as well (obviously penance of some sort!) it just seems that every day there is something to argue about- usually the fact that I 'have too many things' (cleared out my study for the baby's room adn still can't be bothered to go through some of the boxes to chuck/loft) or the baby has too much stuff - if only he knew how much more it will have!! anyway have managed to keep the peace since lunch time but if any of those tools reappear......

baby started moving properly before lunch, probably as i managed to relax a bit and now seems to be wriggling like normal but will keep an eye on it over the next day or two.

about the bras, i went to mothercare yesterday and they said 38 weeks but next time i'm just going to speak to someone different and then pretend i am 38 weeks - i'm only 1 week off that!

by the way, thanks for letting me rant everyone.

dressedupnowheretogo · 01/08/2006 19:09

lol at your m/c experiences told you they were crap hahahaha should have big boobs like me and go to nice places like jon lewis and bravissimo were they are nice to you

im still in shock im gonna have a babba in 13 days thats well scary im gonna be a mum oh my god

olivo · 01/08/2006 19:18

we dont have john lewis here or i'd be right there! dont even want to get the m/care bras but its the only shop here that sells them!! although , i might get measured there and then get my sister to send one over from john lewis...aha, a cunning plan.....

olivo · 01/08/2006 19:18

you're right booby - it is scary, but sooooooooooooooooo exciting! I'm jealous! God knows how long I've got to wait!

dressedupnowheretogo · 01/08/2006 19:19

if thats the case measure yourself as mc will measure for there bra specifically

olivo · 01/08/2006 19:27

ah, didnt know that - thanks booby! do you know how? have never measured myself for a bra - the nice lady in m+s usually does it!

dressedupnowheretogo · 01/08/2006 19:39

sarahlou1uk · 01/08/2006 21:18

lunavix · 01/08/2006 22:08

Hi everyone!

Been rather busy today with house of kids so didn't have a lot of time to chat However am going to PACK MY DAMN MATERNITY BAG tonight lol in an attempt to forget ds is on holiday without me!

I'm so chuffed, got a new tens off ebay for £30-odd. perfect.

I'm now shopping for ds games, figured it might be something to do in hospital/labour at home if it's a slow one to distract me.

dreamydowler · 01/08/2006 22:37

hi all how you all been today? sounds like you have had a busy day luna still at least you are getting organised. I know its hard when lo goes off on holiday without you but I bet he is having a really good time has anyone heard from pucca? there are a few others who we havent heard from in a while aswell aussiemama wonder if any more babies have been born ?

eenywifemum · 02/08/2006 00:57

hi everyone,

booby I have learned how to cast on, knit, and cast off - tomorrow (or tonight if I really cant sleep) I will learn how to purl. So exciting!! I love it! I've bought some yarn off ebay to make Sal a scarf That will be my first proper project.

Luna - glad you got your tens!! lovely! arent we all getting prepared!!

Olivo - I am glad your baby started moving properly - they do keep us worrying dont they! And its also good your DH cleaned up after himself!

dreamy good luck at your consultants appt!

BHM I really feel for you about not having any signs yet - I know if I am not having any at 39 weeks I will be the same as you - what can I say? I havent been through it before but I hear every labor is different and it could all kick off and finish in a day! Something WILL happen!! and it cant be more than 2 or so weeks max!! Keep your chin up!

I am fine, cant sleep b/c of heartburn but I am going to give it a while then have some yoghurt then go back to bed. That seems to have helped the last 2 nights.

OP posts:
olivo · 02/08/2006 08:46

morning!

eeny - have you tried a stick of cheese for heartburn? before i go to bed i have some milk (i HATE milk!) and one of those organic cheese sticks for kids - more than often does the job. saying that, i had to reach for the gaviscon tabs last night!

am going to measure myself for a bra today and then get online to find something. then i'm going to finish packing my labour bag...see how motivated I am today?
hope everyone is ok!

melsy · 02/08/2006 08:54

morning all

Eeeny you were up late hun , its really nasty isnt it with the acid . I dont know what Id do withought my ranitadine.

Luna what model is it ??, I dint even think to get it that way , great idea. You can then sell it on ebay again or a friend.

Olivo , some of them are right stroppy in mothecare , one of them wouldnt measure me a couple of weeks ago , so I lied when I went in last week !

Thought Id update on here , otherwise only afew of you will get news on msn. I had my ante natal check up yesterday with another less senior midiwife, but she is very lovely. Also thought Id been dong well the last few days , didnt have a clue about hypnobirthing , but said it sounded good. She wants me to go up and down stairs alot and keep fairly active , but also find sometimes in the day to have a couple of hours in bed, so my mums going to come round a bit more. She thought that may be I woudnt get to due date!!

Sooooo all last night it all got stronger and stronger (I was on msn with booby & sarahlou, a plate of curry and strong strong surges!!) and Ive been knackered because its been going on day and night since last Wednesday, but guess what , It bloody stopped around 4ish this morning. The wierd thing though is that Ive had a flurry of energy , been up and down the stairs , put loads of washing on and didnt find it hard to get up?????????????????????????. A friend did say that nature gives you an energy kick just before its all supposed to go off properly. Anyhwhooo I got to get moving somehow and bring it back, cant believe I would go for 6 days and then nothing. Got to try and keep busy today somehow , but no knock myself out.

BRING ON THE SURGES PLEASE !!!!!(ok so weres that natural induction page!!!!!!, reflexology sounds good right now)
