Lissbug even!

Harryhart · 18/01/2014 00:17

I'm due 14 August. First baby (is that DC1?? The acronyms confuse the heck out of me), I'm 32.
X

PinaColadas · 18/01/2014 00:18

I'd not even thought about that really Liss what brand did you get? My roots are a nightmare and I'm wondering if it's safe yet to get them touched up Confused

Lissbug · 18/01/2014 00:58

feelingfatty I am sure you are right. Didn't think about it until my scan yesterday. Decided to do so as I wash my hair every day. Bad habit but i don't feel awake unless I do. My sister switched with her first pregnancy but not with the second two. As you say, personal choice!
pinaColadas I bought aveda shampure and also got origins body cream as my skin has gone horribly scaly. Never really needed to use creams before! Liz Earle also do organic shampoos. Apparently most hair dyes are fine in pregnancy...just check with your hairdresser that the one the use is.

HungryHorace · 18/01/2014 06:04

I don't swap anything either...didn't even occur to me!

Interestingly, my ezcema on my hands clears up in pregnancy. I thought last time was a fluke, but nope, it's almost gone again. It came back with a vengeance after DD though, so we shall see what happens this time. The GP said it's unusual as skin conditions often worsen in pregnancy. I'm just odd!

Hi to Harry...snap on the due date. :-)

My weird dream tonight was bizarre, involving Kasabian, a clothes shop, buying some glasses (tumblers, not the ones you wear) and someone I went to school with. Weird combination!

travispickles · 18/01/2014 06:35

Aren't pregnancy dreams weird? I had a really lucid dream about my mum, I threw her out of my house. I was very angry! I had to keep reminding myself it was a dream after I had woken up.

PinaColadas · 18/01/2014 08:20

Thanks liss I've had a read and it think I'll be ok as long as I ask the hair dresser to make sure the dye doesn't touch my scalp so I shall do that. I'm going to treat myself to some shampoo with my boots points :)

Funny that dreams should be brought up, last night I had the most frisky dream I've ever had, involving me and DH in a public place! It was very explicit! Blush I've been having a lot of vivid dreams and I can always remember all the details.

HungryHorace · 18/01/2014 08:34

At least it was DH, Piña! ;-)

Mine are just strange. I dreamt DH wanted to have sex with a prostitute in Amsterdam the other week. I bollocked him for that on waking! :-) Our house - not that we actually live in, just the one in my dream - fell down earlier this week.

I just dreamt we shoplifted from Asda and then went parachuting on a fighter jet and the midwife was there too. Odd indeed.

Mitchell81 · 18/01/2014 08:36

Can someone add me to the list please

Thanks

FriendofDorothy · 18/01/2014 09:00

I won't switch shampoo and conditioner but then again I use Lush products which are all natural anyway.

PinaColadas · 18/01/2014 09:24

I know Hungry ha I thought that! Your dreams sound just as strange and vivid as mine.

babyspice2501 · 18/01/2014 09:30

Lol to the dreams so weird! Ive had 2 dreams whete im fighting in a war but always in water! Like in a boat or something! And last night wasnt in a war but on a boat with huge waves and dangerous waterfall! I dont get it? Lol

With the hair thing I just use what I want really

Ruggle · 18/01/2014 09:54

I haven't had any strange dreams since before I got my bfp. I only did the test because I had a vivid dream that I'd had a baby boy who spoke in the voice of Ray Winstone! "Give me moe milk!" he growled!

A new pregnancy symptom for me....pressure. Horrible, achy pressure on what I imagine is my cervix. Had it all day yesterday but never before. Felt like something was going to go pop! Anyone else getting this?

Feelingfatty · 18/01/2014 09:55

I have been having VERY strange dreams, vivid dreams and nightmares! I was quite a 'dreamer' before pregnancy but not this bad!!

travispickles · 18/01/2014 09:56

So lazy today. How do I entertain my nearly 3yo dd without moving from sofa?

Nulanoo · 18/01/2014 09:59

Happy weekend everyone! Had our 12 week scan yesterday which all went well :) hope everyone is feeling ok x

Feelingfatty · 18/01/2014 10:16

Travis...cartoons?? Movie day??

Nula, that's fabulous news :) you must be so relieved I can't wait for mine (still 3 weeks to go Hmm) have you told everyone now?? Smile

CountdownBegins · 18/01/2014 10:50

Great news on it not being slap cheek feeling- I wouldn't even know what to look for!

Everyone's dreams sound crazy! I have been waking up with the dreams but forget them once I'm up.

Great news on your scan Nula :)

Happy Saturday everyone.

Lissbug · 18/01/2014 10:55

I had a dream last night that I was having breakfast with my parents, husband and my boss and his family at a nice house in the country. I was trying to hide my pregnancy which was hard in my PJs!

HungryHorace · 18/01/2014 11:13

Excellent news, Nula. :-)

I blew I was pregnant from my dreams and being hot and thirsty overnight. Then I got unnecessarily knackered walking home from the hairdresser and was certain. I got my BFP the next day.

I don't have pressure, Ruggle. I do feel like I'm carrying something heavy inside me though! Not good at only 1/4 distance! :-/

PinaColadas · 18/01/2014 11:15

Aw lovely news Nula

I'm having a mini celebration at hitting 12 weeks today, feeling happy and looking forward to Wednesday.

Loving the dream stories ha :)

babyspice2501 · 18/01/2014 11:28

Pina lucky you :) im only 7 weeks! :( 8 on monday though lol

Nula good news about your scan!

HungryHorace · 18/01/2014 11:30

I clearly meant knew, not blew, in my previous post!

Piña, 12 weeks is a great milestone, isn't it? There will be scans every day now I expect. It's exciting. :-)

ClarissaG · 18/01/2014 11:37

Hello all, been busy at work.

TIME IS STANDING STILL at the moment! 15 more days to wait until my scan at 12+3, life usually goes so quickly but apparently not when you are preggers.

How is everyone size wise? Does anyone think they have a genuine little bump yet or is it all extra fat from the crazy amount we are eating to satisfy nausea. I feel absolutely disgusting, I've never had so much fat on my body in my life and really started to struggle with work clothes, it's kind of getting me down too. I'm convinced it is all fat and can't possibly be directly baby related. I know I'm lucky as I was a healthy BMI 21 to start with, but its all relative! Yuk yuk yuk, hate my body at the moment!

ClarissaG · 18/01/2014 11:38

of course, I love my body for (hopefully) looking after my baby, but you know what I mean....
