Morning all! No nausea or vomming here, but I have been so knackered I actually went to bed last night at 8.40! I think it's just been catching up with me really, so good to be in bed for 10 hours!!

11 weeks today, counting down days til scan (11!)

2beornot · 13/01/2014 09:43

Fatty - that's good news. I hope it's all ok. Fingers crossed for you!!

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 09:47

Good luck today, FEE. xx

And that's good, Fatty. Here's hoping all is well tomorrow. :-)

I've felt sick again today which is a relief! Thankfully I've not been sick though.

Science, I'm sure they won't be mean at all. I've not met a mean midwife yet, and I saw about a dozen or more with DD.

2beornot · 13/01/2014 09:50

Ooops - missed a few posts!

Ruggle - hope it the sickness calms down and doesn't last for 9 months! What a positive GP you seem to have found.

Who was it who said about boobs growing? My bras are definitely getting too small for me - but I'm an E cup already! I dread to think what they'll look like by 9 months!

mszeenwithabean · 13/01/2014 09:53

That's great news feelingfatty just means you get that reassurance and sooner rather than later - good luck for tomorrow but I am confident that all will be well for you and bubba Smile

fee if you are there fingers crossed for your scan today, I hope you can come back with good news..x thinking of you..x

Am off work today with (tmi alert) the runs Blush ... I just don't know what has caused it but the sooner its over the better.. couldn't face a whole day of running to the work loo, just hope they don't count it toward my sick days Hmm.

On a more positive note the nausea lifted yesterday and I got to eat food that other than toast Smile

As for bloating it's like I said on fb those that know I'm pregnant have actually asked if I'm having twins Shock and commented on my 'puffy face'.. I was a full figured woman before falling pregnant so I really did not expect to have such an obvious rounded and bloated stomach at 10weeks .... I wouldn't mind but I haven't been eating all the pies this time round lol Grin

Feelingfatty · 13/01/2014 10:17

Thanks guys! Going to be an early start as 8.40 and hospital is 40-60 mins away! But will hopefully be worth it to see alls okay

QueenOfGeeks · 13/01/2014 11:39

Toggle, glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today. I am also struggling with bad sickness. Some food stays down but a lot does not. I had my midwife booking in appt this morning and she suggested flat lemonade but I havent tried it yet. I had to pull the car over on the way to the appointment and get out to be horribly sick. I am now worried that I keep throwing up my thyroid medication.

I hope everyone struggling with sickness feels a bit better today, I'm just hoping it subsides soon.

QueenOfGeeks · 13/01/2014 11:52

That should be ruggle not toggle stupid autocorrect.

I have actually just spoken to my gp who is going to prescribe me some anti sickness meds that are safe in pregnancy so will let you know what I am given.

ScienceGeekGirl · 13/01/2014 12:28

Hello ladies, turns out I was worrying for nothing, midwife was nice although she didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Blood test was as horrible as expected, was so embarrassing as they had to call in a midwife as I looked so pale and faint afterwards. But bestest news!! I have my scan date. 5th Feb and I'll be 12+1 so only 3 and a bit weeks to wait.

Ruggle · 13/01/2014 12:42

QueenOfGeeks, sorry to hear you are also suffering the sickness. It's so exhausting! I am guessing they'll start you off on the same meds (Cyclizine)...which do have a pretty good safety record....but I've got a history of toxic reactions to medication, so really don't want to risk it.
I had a slight reaction to Lucozade yesterday (itchy face and neck) so have ditched it in favour of Coke. I was told that as long as I stay hydrated I (and baby) should be fine (regardless of how little food I manage to eat).
Nibbled oatcakes and a piece of cheese on the way to work and nothing has come back up yet! Yay!

QueenOfGeeks · 13/01/2014 12:42

Great news Science, glad it all went well.

Feelingfatty · 13/01/2014 12:43

Great news. Science geek! Knew they'd be nice to you :) and great news on scan Smile yay hoping for good news tomorrow morning as then have booking in in the afternoon so hoping for a scan date then

flymo79 · 13/01/2014 12:51

great news science! am thinking of all you with sickness, it's so horrible...
had a lovely weekend and now am suffering from the work week from hell! just can't wait for the weekend, though it's a long way off, and my scan next tues! bring it on!

KitKatChick · 13/01/2014 15:37

Well done Science! I've got my booking appointment date today as well only it was for 11am today and the letter only came in this afternoon. Must say they're really organised here!

As I've missed it they've cancelled my scan as well which would have been next Monday. Now rescheduled for 28th January as I have to have the booking appt. first :( Just a bit worried it's going to be quite late as I'll be 14+1 by then...

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 15:50

14+1 is the last day for nuchal translucency screening, so you're on the very limit. Are you having the screening done?

And lovely news, Science. :-)

I'm feeling relatively nauseous today. Weirdly all I want to do is eat!

Shakshuka · 13/01/2014 15:52

Ugh, been having brown spotting for over a week now and now it's getting a bit heavier. Still very light and I had this with my other pregnancies....but still wish it wasn't there. Waiting for my Dr to call me back but receptionist said it's likely they'll want me to come in to be checked.

Feelingfatty · 13/01/2014 15:56

Shak can you ring the midwife unit direct? Mine was lovely and booked me straight in for a scan tomorrow morning to check alls okay. I also had with my dd so trying not be to worries mine also seems to have stopped now. If it's been going on a week+ I think they should definitely offer a scan to put your mind at rest.

Feelingfatty · 13/01/2014 15:58

Kit kat that's annoying!! Not much you can do now though I suppose! As long as they can fit in all screenings with ink appropriate time frame I suppose it's okay, annoying for you though but just think you'll have less of a wait until 20 week scan!! Smile

Shakshuka · 13/01/2014 16:07

fatty
I'm in the US so no such thing as a midwife unit. But I did call my Dr who will probably book me in for a scan. Just waiting for her to call me back.

AntoinetteCosway · 13/01/2014 16:19

Just got the date for my 12 week scan-Jan 28th. Don't know how I'm going to wait another two weeks!

I forgot to ask how long it'll take-DH will need time off work. It's at 3.15 and it's about a 20 min journey from his office to the hospital. I'm thinking there will be waiting around time so maybe we'll be done at 4.15?

Shakshuka · 13/01/2014 16:21

I have an appointment for 2.20 today - so another three hours. It's not going to look good at work that I'm taking half a day off but I'm not much use at the moment anyway! I'm not feeling too hopeful to be honest.

AntoinetteCosway · 13/01/2014 16:43

Don't think about work Shak-sending you lots of positive vibes across the Atlantic x

KitKatChick · 13/01/2014 16:44

HungryHorace - Funnily enough finally had a chat with DH over the weekend and while we most likely wouldn't decide to terminate based on the results we wanted them done. I guess it won't be the end of the world if I miss the time limit as I probably wouldn't act on them anyway...just plain annoying.

Feelingfatty, you're right should just look on the positives rather than getting too worked up about it. It's just interesting how on Thursday last week (when the letter was dated) they managed to book me in for Monday but now I have a 2 week wait.

Good luck Shakshuka, hope it goes well. I'm sure work will be fine, at least you won't be worrying all week!

Ruggle · 13/01/2014 16:51

My scan's in two weeks and three days at exactly 12 weeks. I've just had to tell my boss that I'm pregs, as I need time off to recover from this awful bout of sickness. Still feeling not too bad today. Bit nauseous but not been sick. Yay. Anyway, he said "Congratulations".....

FEEdec · 13/01/2014 18:39

Hi ladies

Thanks for asking after me. Unfortunately I miscarried yesterday morning and my scan today confirmed it. I'm actually feeling ok about it, we both are really sad but coping ok. I think if I didn't have my little boy I'd be feeling quite different.

I hope I'm the last from the group to experience a loss though.

Take care xxx
