Well... we're getting there at least, and definitely ready to meet the first thread baby!

Very sorry to hear of your loss Littleen xxx

Exciting news notone! Good luck, I hope things get moving along nicely for you. I didn't realise they'd be able to see the head at 1cm dilated!

I had a really vivid dream last night that I was in labour, was bit confused for a while when I woke up! I was reading loads of birth stories yesterday so I think that must be why.

37 weeks today so am officially full term! Grin

Champs my postman has seen me in my PJs so many times now, last time I opened the door for him he actually apologised and said "I'm sorry I keep disturbing you!" Bless :) Either he thinks I work night shifts or his wife had a horrific pregnancy...

LittlePandaBear · 19/01/2014 14:53

Champagne my maternity jeans are also feeling a bit tight now! I bought some comfy yoga pant type of trousers today from Sainsburys in a size up to wear when at home and after the birth. After a section I'll need something soft and not under the bump mat jeans like I have now. They do not look good though but comfort will have to come first!

Cheesecake sounds yummy!

Hope we hear more news from notone soon, she's making it sound so easy :)

EeyoreIsh · 19/01/2014 14:57

I got paint on one pair of maternity leggings and have a hole in the other Blush I'm now wearing one pair of normal leggings, tights and my one pair of maternity jeans in strict rotation!

I started taking 1000mg of evening primrose oil orally yesterday, and I've definitely been getting more pains downstairs! Nothing labour like, just twinges and a more sensitive feeling, if that makes sense. I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow and can't wait to find out how engaged baby is.

I'm really tired and can't work out how I'll have the energy to labour and push baby out...

CubanoHabana · 19/01/2014 15:00

The cheesecake IS yummy! Between the two of us we have already eaten a quarter... Oops!

CubanoHabana · 19/01/2014 15:01

What does the evening primrose do?

EeyoreIsh · 19/01/2014 15:06

The cheesecake sounds amazing.

Apparently EPO prepares your cervix for labour, helping it to soften. It isn't supposed to bring labour on, instead it just helps the cervix to efface. The evidence isn't clear cut though.

LovesToBake · 19/01/2014 17:28

Cheesecake sounds fab Cubano. I had a major cake craving this afternoon so we just drove off to a lovely little tea shop in a nearby village and I scoffed a scone with jam & cream and a good chunk of fruit cake washed down with a hot chocolate!

Champs I know exactly what you mean about clothes. I am tending to live in two pairs of comfy yoga type maternity trousers around the house and them alternating between my maternity jeans (with massive stretchy over bump band) and maternity leggings with a sort of knitted dress thing over the top for leaving the house. Definitely won't be buying any new clothes now and to be honest I can't wait to have a clear out of my maternity wardrobe as soon as possible - these clothes have done me two pregnancies and are looking pretty tired it has to be said, and fairly dated!

I feel so far behind everyone else, only 35+3 today so on countdown to full term at 37 weeks, then my next milestone is 37+4 which is when DS was born. After that will be a complete unknown and I have no idea how I'll be able to have to confidence to get out and about each day with DS for fear of my waters breaking and a baby following swiftly behind in the park/town/supermarket/car or whatever!

marzipanned · 19/01/2014 18:46

I feel miles behind everyone else too! Even though I'm 37+5 I have absolutely no period pains, back aches, cervical sensations or anything else that others seem to be feeling and a couple of times this weekend baby has done her flip onto her side thing so I assume her head is still free as can be. I'm trying very hard to appreciate the time with DH and the sleep and so on but I am feeling a bit impatient, especially since almost everyone in my NCT group popped this weekend!

I went swimming twice this weekend which felt amazing but couldn't help wondering about what would happen if waters went in pool...I guess nobody would be able to tell?!

winterflowers · 19/01/2014 18:56

Don't worry I'm bringing up the rear as well at not even 35wks quite yet. I don't want her out quite now but it's so exciting seeing all the pics and hearing stories just can't wait for it to be my turn!

cubano a quarter between two is very restrained, could defo have managed that on my own. Still haven't had cake :( Really fancy some but am too lazy to go out and get some. Have found my appetite has really gone in the past few days and it's a struggle to eat, even when.i know she needs it

CubanoHabana · 19/01/2014 19:06

I'm 35 weeks today nod counting down to 37 weeks!

Me and hubby just realised we have only had the cheesecake and some flapjacks to eat today... Quite fancy something but don't know what and can't be bothered to make anything!

CubanoHabana · 19/01/2014 19:08

Posted too soon... I'm also not actually hungry winter just want something tasty and am getting worried that I'm not eating enough for baby - having 1 'meal' a day (if you can call it that) and haven't put any weight on for last 3 weeks, although bump has grown...

jazzcat28 · 19/01/2014 19:09

I'm 36wks today and quite determined to make it to February at the very least but very impatient at the same time - can't wait to meet my little bubba and start being a mum! Mat pay officially kicks in on 3rd when I'm 38wks so fingers crossed nothing happens before then.

Thisisfreakingmeout · 19/01/2014 21:15

All this talk of cheesecake is making me make a mental shopping list for some baking tomorrow!

Now 38 weeks and trying not to get too twitchy. It's difficult when these picture of dreamy newborns keep popping up in fb!
I only feel like we got organised today, baby clothes washed, hospital bag full and zipped up, isofix fitted, medela pump ordered (thanks for all the tips on that front ladies), Nestbed arrives tomorrow fx.

DH did another deep clean (he is the one nesting for both of us).

Good luck to the ladies who may be on the express train to baby town tonight.

ohhhhpieceofcandy · 19/01/2014 22:19

I'm feeling a little hyper. Bouncing on my ball with a cupcake and a cup of decaff tea! Grin

I'm not going to be able to get to sleep tonight am I?!

SugarMiceInTheRain · 19/01/2014 22:55

Excited about the consultant appointment tomorrow, fingers crossed that I get a date and it can be a bit earlier than 39 weeks. SPD is crippling me today. Also crossing my fingers that I can see the consultant and not just a member of the team. So many questions! Am envious of the ladies for whom things are getting moving now. Technically I have lots of stuff to sort out before the baby arrives, however as the SPD is preventing me from doing any of it, I feel I may as well be having the baby and being out of pain. Sorry for the self pitying post!

Shropshiremummy2B · 19/01/2014 23:15

Marzi I'm with you there. I assumed that by having no pregnancy symptoms for the past 8.5 months, they would hit me like a train at 38 weeks but nothing. Nada. Not a bean. No feelings or pressure. No twinges or aches. If anything, rather than slow down, movements have ramped up and Shrops Jnr is as comfy in there as I am to have it in there! I find it odd that everyone would rather have a real life baby rather than a rotund appearance and a waddle pregnancy swagger.

EmmaFreudsGivingMeJip · 19/01/2014 23:26

My pregnancy swagger is more pregnancy shatter. I frequently have to check I haven't disgraced myself as it feels like the baby has his head right in my arse.

Littleen · 20/01/2014 02:22

Pff, can't sleep at all tonight. Just feeling sad and sorry, and little one is going crazy in there. I think he might be rearranging his house or something, judging by the amount of moving about everywhere!

Morien · 20/01/2014 04:00

Are you ok, littleen?

I can't sleep either, and I really needed to tonight - got an interview for a job I really want (internal) in the morning! Then I see my boss in the afternoon for my annual appraisal, then I'm done, no more work (although if there's a second round interview obviously I'll go - but I'll have to ask them to make it ASAP).

Marzi I swim regularly and I've started to worry a bit about my waters going in the pool...

37+1, the odd little but of period-type pain (been having that for over a week though), otherwise nothing. Anyway, she can't come yet as we're having work done on the house - supposed to be done by mid-Dec but still going. I told DH this weekend that we have to tell them in the morning that they need to finish what they can this week and then that's it - nesting's hard with a house full of workmen... at least now I know they won't be here after Friday.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 20/01/2014 06:11

Wow, looks like a few of us have been having trouble sleeping. I didn't sleep well and have got up as been awake (but knackered) since 4.30am. Little one going mad here too, but it's mainly a combination of insomnia and SPD keeping me up, rather than the baby moving. Good luck with your interview Morien

glitterhoops · 20/01/2014 07:31

Sugar mouse - I feel exactly the same, it's a breeze looking after a newborn and recovering from a CS coated to being heavily pregnant with SPD. I am having the baby at about 38.4 weeks and can't wait to get my body back and after a few weeks it will be pain free - hurray! There are loads of things I feel I could be doing too, but it's just impossible. The time is also going too slowly.

Thinking of you Littleen x
