Re double buggys, although my DD was my first child, I bought a Phil and Teds as I work as a nanny and needed a double buggy when working. It worked perfectly as could also be a single when wanted, but the extra seat doubled up as extra storage for bags etc :)

Ruggle · 29/12/2013 19:01

Thanks HalfPint! I shall try it when I feel less icky. Not really got the stomach for cooking at the moment.

Polkadot1 · 29/12/2013 19:42

I'm abit overweight too. The MW asked me my height (so I added 2cm on!) then asked me my weight and I told the truth as assumed she'd weigh me... But she didn't! I wish I'd said half a stone lighter!!!!!

I'm getting really anxious about going to the in-laws tomorrow for 2 nights- they drink loads of tea and coffee, and it involves a few G&Ts / drinks (esp over new year). We defo don't want to tell them (as it will get straight to MILs sister and 5 cousins, as did one of the cousins m/c get to us in the summer). I just think it's going to be tricky coming up with a no caffeine and no alcohol excuse!

2beornot · 29/12/2013 19:55

Polka - my saving grace last night was flat shloer passed off as wine!!

onion19632 · 29/12/2013 20:09

2beornot, that is what I did on Boxing day at the MIL's!

Polkadot1 · 29/12/2013 20:19

They'll be serving the drinks though?

ScienceGeekGirl · 29/12/2013 20:21

Piña I did the dilute in half thing this morning with my test and I'm only 6+5 and it worked! I'd freaked myself out with a pale line on the test yesterday so i 'scientifically' tried out the dilution thing this morning. Did a normal one then the diluted one and the diluted one was as dark as any I did a couple of weeks ago and the none diluted was still pale like yesterday. I have to say I quite enjoyed my experiment but then if the results hadn't been to my liking maybe I wouldn't have. Lol

HalfPintPickle · 29/12/2013 20:29

Can you take some decaf tea bags with you and 'help' make tea?

2beornot · 29/12/2013 21:00

Oh. See I was at home which helped! All the 'not drinking' excuses are so see through though. Unless you turn up hanging from the day before!?

cheesypastaplease · 29/12/2013 21:01

I am overweight too, I was planning to rejoin Slimming World tomorrow but I suppose I can't now. This pregnancy is a total surprise, although feeling happier as the day goes on.

I have had 2 emcs so am assuming I will need to have another CS.

I am really worried about telling my dsis as she has been trying for 2 1/2 years with no luck, and our other sister is due shortly with a surprise baby.

FriendofDorothy · 29/12/2013 21:13

I am going to crack on with my usual SW diet from the beginning of the year.

I will do Extra East and have 2 HEA's and 2 HEB's.

It's a really healthy diet so should help me to lose a bit of fat and keep the baby weight manageable.

Polkadot1 · 29/12/2013 21:22

Good idea halfpint I'll take some redbush!

cheesypastaplease · 29/12/2013 21:32

Friendodorothy I think I'll just crack on too. I lost over a stone earlier in the year but it has slowly crept back on.

PinaColadas · 29/12/2013 21:36

hungry science halfpint feeling soooooooo much better now. This is GROSS but DH's idea, just did a wee and dipped the test in the loo haha, nice strong line yeah. Hoping this isn't false hope but I'm certainly feeling a lot brighter now, let's see how I sleep tonight though. Roll on 10 am!

HungryHorace · 29/12/2013 21:38

Ha ha, Piña! Inventive of your DH. :-)

Mitchell81 · 29/12/2013 21:39

That's great Pina, look forward to hearing about your scan tomorrow.

RoseHoney · 29/12/2013 21:42

Just checking in Wink

Feelingfatty · 29/12/2013 21:49

Ha ha love it piña! Good luck tomorrow!!

Polkadot1 · 29/12/2013 22:02

Yes- good luck Pina hope you get some sleep

Walber139 · 29/12/2013 22:02

I'm new Grin I'm not worried about my weight, as long as me & baby are healthy I'll do what I need to do!!

Not sure if we'll find out sex, although planning a family holiday for last week of August so might come in handy...

Anyone else on the name train? Know it's a little early but I love name chit chat...

isitme1 · 29/12/2013 22:12

I agree with walber. I am overweight but that's the last thing on my mind.
Main priority is me and baby (and other dc and dh] good luck pina

I will most likely find out what im having just to be organised

Feelingfatty · 29/12/2013 22:13

Welcome Walber! :) no name talk yet...to early for me! Smile

HalfPintPickle · 29/12/2013 22:21

Very brief discussion of names here. I'm trying to play down all the baby and pregnancy talk at home as I know it's very early days and could get tiresome very quickly!! Still have 241 days to go according to my planner. That's a bloody age away!

I think I'll be getting a bit more excited once I've had the scan at 12 weeks... Just counting down now!

Congratulations Walter - welcome to the mad house ;)

Hi Walber!

We have a boy's name from last time, so just need a girl's name. I quite like Daisy, but we need to discuss it after the 12/20 week scans. :-)

PinaColadas · 29/12/2013 22:50

Thanks everyone :)
