Found you!!!!

No idea if we'll find out sex or not. We did with dd and had already decided before mmc that DH would find out but no one else (no even me!). I am convinced its a girl though. I have no idea why but I was brushing my teeth one morning and the feeling u was carrying a girl just overwhelmed me! Hmmm - let's wait and see!

Interesting about others feeling they might be having twins! I would absolutely live twins (not least because this will probably be my last pregnancy) but I'm pretty sure there's just one there. Surely I'd def have symptoms if there was more than one in there?!

stephie0611 · 29/12/2013 17:25

Started the morning sickness today and feel so nauseus.

I definitely dont want to find out the sex. I want it to be a nice surprise as we are both not bothered about what we have. As long as its nice and healthy.

miserywaterfall · 29/12/2013 17:25

Yes, I like the idea of helping each other, lol. Will need all the help I can get! Right now I'm eating whatever I want, it's bloody Xmas and we are entitled I feel Wink
I'll be better once college starts again, wont be able to eat at any times other than break and lunch and I've missed so many classes this month that I'll be too busy to go outside and buy anything to eat, it will be packed lunch only!

Totally with you on the burger cravings Halfpint Grin

Mrsantithetic · 29/12/2013 17:37

It's moving too fast for me!!!

I has a emcs section last time after a failed induction which basically just made dd heart rate go to the floor. Not a good time to find out you're immune to anesthetic which I half expected as I have quite bad hms.

They managed to block me although fifteen minutes after surgery finished I had full feeling and movement again so will be pushing for Elcs this time.

Weight - I'm already huge. According to bmi I'm 7 stone overweight. Realistically I'm 3 stones overweight going off the lightest I have been as an adult and how I looked and felt.
I hope not to put too much on. I lost all my baby weight within a month last time but haven't lost anything further despite bf for 16 mo.

I intend on keeping this pushchair too and just either using a sling or buying a second hand double but don't know where to start. I have a sola and I love it but it's the bright purpley pink one so it may look a bit pants if it's a boy.

My dd was 6 pounds exactly and so small. Yet I was huge Shock

PinaColadas · 29/12/2013 17:39

Hi ladies, wonder if anyone can offer come advice, I should be 9+2 tomorrow and have our early scan in the morning (going to be an up and down day tomorrow as 30th December was when first baby we lost at 11+3 was due (blighted ovum, stopped growing at 5/6 weeks)
So today I've been a mess, not only have I felt utterly shite (sick/tired) but my emotions are all over the place and this morning decided to buy some more tests to see if I'm still showing a good line to make sure we're not wasting £80 tomorrow, and totally bizarre result, done 2 tests and both the control line and test line are soooo faint. Positive comes up straight away, but the lines are barely there. The last test I did at about 6 the test line was almost black it was that dark, control line wasn't far behind. I'm freeeeaking out. I know I need to just chill and go to bed see what tomorrow brings, I just can't bare to see an empty screen again. I'm in bits. Why would the test be so faint :(

HungryHorace · 29/12/2013 17:43

Piña, you're more than 8 weeks' pregnant, therefore the high levels of hcg confuse the tests giving no / a lighter line.

Try diluting your wee with water and testing again.

Please don't worry. xx

travispickles · 29/12/2013 17:44

Thank God I am not the only one who put on a shocking 4 stone last time, and am determined to not gain like that this time! Too hard to lose, I am also only just this side of obese bmi so must stay fit. Also craving rubbish which makes it hard!

HalfPintPickle · 29/12/2013 17:50

Will be thinking of you piña tomorrow. I agree that the HCG levels get bit mixed up after the few months mark.
Try not worry too much about it easier said than done

Go chicken roasting in the oven with some roast veg and salad tonight - I'd swap it for a takeaway right about now though! ;)

Well done Halfpint

I just had cheese on toast... with a few tomatoes, to make it healthy Wink
Had a nap earlier and all I dreamt about was chocolate!!

2beornot · 29/12/2013 17:55

Realised I missed a whole load of posts!

I have been very sneaky and got doctor to use my weight from May in my data for this pregnancy. Means they'll be more likely to let me give birth in a MLU. I have put on about a stone since then. Blush. But I do need to eat healthily. DH wants to lose weight in the new year so that'll help me too!

travispickles · 29/12/2013 17:57

Can I ask whether anyone else has cramps and the runs every morning? I think it's tied to ms but I don't remember it affecting me that way last time! Slightly worried about work as I have to get to a loo sheepish!

Ruggle · 29/12/2013 18:04

Think I've been lucky so far in that I've been craving pretty healthy things. Celery soup is the new one...but have trawled the shops and not found any! It's all I can think about at the moment. Celery soup.

PinaColadas · 29/12/2013 18:04

Thanks guys, that's reassuring to hear, I just need to see what tomorrow brings, don't think I could not have it now anyway, shouldn't have tested I'm just so desperate for good news x

miserywaterfall · 29/12/2013 18:11

Ruggle, I have a tin in my cupboard I'd mail you if I could!

Fingers crossed tomorrow goes well Pina Must be nerve wracking! x

HungryHorace · 29/12/2013 18:16

Ruggle, you'll just have to make some yourself! Shouldn't be too hard. :-)

Travis, my tummy has felt dodgy and I've had to run to the loo, only for there to not be diarrhoea. Most odd. Dodgy tummy / weird poo is definitely a pregnancy thing though!

Good luck tomorrow, Piña.

cheesypastaplease · 29/12/2013 18:21

Hi everyone

I found out today that I am expecting dc3!! Massive shock, only did test as boobs were a bit sore. According to calculator thingy I am due on August 30, but will probably be having a section so baby should be early for a change.

I already have dd who is 5 and ds who will be 2 in a fortnight. I think I'm still in shock!

miserywaterfall · 29/12/2013 18:22

I've had that too hungry! Weird cramps thinking uhoh! Only to go to the loo and it's just normal, haha. Ah this is a fun rollercoaster this pregnancy lark Wink

miserywaterfall · 29/12/2013 18:25

Welcome Cheesy and congrats!

Shakshuka · 29/12/2013 18:33

Piña

I heard that once hcg levels pass a certain point, it's harder for the test to pick it up. Apparently if you dilute your urine a bit with water, you get a stronger line. Worth a try?

onion19632 · 29/12/2013 18:54

Hi Ladies,
I am not sure if we will find out the sex or not. We didn't with DD, but that was because my husband didn't want us to know. We agreed at the time that it meant that next time I could find out, but the surprise at the end was so lovely that I am just not sure. I like to be organised (and also have loads of girls clothes in the loft and as DD was born in June all the seasons are right!) so if it is a boy I will need to go shopping :)

I have already had a couple of scans as I had an ectopic pregnancy 7 years ago, so have to have early scans to make sure all is ok. The first one was too early, then I saw the sac, then I saw sac with yolk in which she said put me at 5+ weeks (and that was 9 days ago) The consultant said I was a couple of days too early to see the heartbeat, but she wasn't worried, so no need to come back.

I didn't have that with DD as we did see the heartbeat and then I had a huge bleed, so had an additional scan at 10 weeks to make sure all was ok. Turned out I had a blood clot in the placenta, so needed growth scans every 4 weeks from 24 weeks. Will the strange not having so many scans this time (but good as it means all is ok, lol)

I have had period like cramps over the last 24 hours, but trying not to worry too much - it is so hard though isn't it!?!

FriendofDorothy · 29/12/2013 18:54

Mrsantithetic I have been looking at the Baby Jogger City Mini Double. It has great reviews and I like the idea of being able to have one side as a carry cot - especially as this one is due in August.

onion19632 · 29/12/2013 18:56

Posted too soon! I am also about 3 stone overweight, so don't want to gain weight at all. I only put on about 22lbs with my DD and walked out the hospital about 2lbs heavier than pre pregnancy, so hoping it will be the same this time. Doubt it though as I seem to have already put on 5lbs, lol!! I blame Christmas and am dreading being weighed by the Dr/Midwife

lucyfluff · 29/12/2013 18:57

Halfpint - I am pretty CERTAIN that new NHS guidelines have just come in that say you can now request a CS irrelevant of medical need. Im sure I read it on a mn thread from someone who posted a link about it. Anyway may be worth mentioning to MW if your worried Grin

Ive just been at mils and stuffed myself feel so sick!! Oh well its xmas. I am underweight so cannot wait to put on a few pounds its wierd that I eat so much but my body burns it off too quickly Sad last pregnancies I put on 2 stone and actually looked healthy!!!!
