Another congratulations on the safe arrival of Mason - gorgeous name! Sounds like you're dealing with everything the last few days has thrown at you amazingly well - enjoy your new little bundle xx

fryingpantoface · 25/12/2013 21:12

Congratulations Another! I'm sorry it was so traumatic, Merry Christmas x

BookTart · 25/12/2013 21:28

I'm so glad you're both safe another, and I hope you are out of the high dependency unit and feeling better very soon Thanks.

MrsRApilot · 25/12/2013 21:28

Congratulations frizz and felix I'm very jealous

another my goodness you've been through the mill. Massive congratulations on little Mason-I'll bet he's absolutely gorgeous.

To everyone else hope all is going well. Have only had a quick skim through everyone's news but Cake to all who are feeling shite.

I'm feeling totally rubbish- my SPD has gone from being very painful to actually stopping me from moving at times. Having some painful tightenings but nothing else so doesn't appear that Alexander is going to be joining us of his own accord any time soon. I will be 38 weeks tomorrow. Thank goodness I am booked for a caesarean next Thursday - not sure how much longer I can continue like this. I'd imagine a lot of you are also getting to that stage.

Also Merry Christmas and hope everyone has had a fantastic day Smile

sarahleanne · 25/12/2013 21:37

Felix90 · 25/12/2013 22:43

flyawayblue · 25/12/2013 23:41

Congratulations another great name and weight. Wishing you a speedy recovery, let us know if you need anything. Sure we could get you things as a few of us are in London. If you don't mind me asking did you know about the possibility of hysterectomy before?

Toothfairy78 · 25/12/2013 23:43

another congratulations and welcome to the world Mason!
Wishing you a speedy recovery too!

Sultanajo · 26/12/2013 00:13

mrsRA poor you! Glad you have an end date in sight....!

another so sorry for all the complications and you needing to be in high dependency. Bless you! Huge congratulations on little Mason and how amazing considering everything you have been through you are able to solely feed him! That's truly awesome!

choco really hope you have been in less pain today.

Just did some major panicky nesting! There were a few bits that needed washing, so have just put them on - for some reason I just couldn't leave it til the morning! Also sorted the snack bag for hospital and re-packed a few bits. Feeling a bit calmer now.... DH looked at me as though I was crazy suddenly getting up, rushing around stressing, but humoured me anyway bless him!

Bluecarrot · 26/12/2013 01:15

Congrats another :) shame you are spending Xmas in hospital but hopefully you will be out soo and you can have an alternative Christmas next week. Thinking healing thoughts x

Lazy day for me - not asleep til 6am, woke at 10.40 and dd was waiting patiently for us to wake up. I went back to bed after gifts then woke up just in time to head to my parents for dinner.

Swelling has got pretty intense today.hoping its just salt from today's meal but going to get blood pressure taken tomorrow at local boots chemist unless it's better. Can feel skin bring stretched in my feet! Telling baby she is allowed to come now. Like right now if she wants!

Frizz1986 · 26/12/2013 05:56

Huge congratulations another What a lovely name as well.

Sorry you have ended up on high dependency unit but glad you are both ok and that'd good that the care has been good.

Hoping that some more babies start popping out for some of you should are uncomfortable.

Just in bed holding Aurelia after only 40mins sleep all night. Really need some snooze time.

Naturegirl82 · 26/12/2013 08:15

Congratulations another. Hope you make it home soon.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas. Mine was different to normal as my grandad is in hospital so spent the morning visiting him. Day was fab though.

Starting to have lots of bh here now. Even waking me up at night which is unusual. My Dm thinks I'm ready to pop! Smile

enormouse · 26/12/2013 08:44

Congratulations to you and your partner another. Hope you and Mason are doing well. Thanks

fryingpantoface · 26/12/2013 08:52

Morning all!

my parents, brother, and sister, are coming today. I've not seen them since august. Cant wait to spend time with them. They live abroad so time together is precious.

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow, which is crazy. I'm now telling the baby to stay in there because mom and dad are staying locally (at a premier inn, as a hormonal pregnant woman and an extra 4 people in the house isn't a good combination) until Saturday. The baby can come after that

TobyLerone · 26/12/2013 08:57

Morning!

It's our Christmas day today. The DC will be home from XH's in an hour, then presents, then off to my sister's for family shiz and dinner. It's going to be chaos with 8 adults and 5 kids, and I'm already looking forward to coming home!

Have lovely days, all.

Sultanajo · 26/12/2013 09:57

Sounds like good days all round yesterday and nice plans today!

DH has announced bubs cant arrive today as its football day! The games start 12.30pm today and culminate with the Liverpool game at 5.30pm. My cue for some further nesting and sales shopping with some vouchers I have.

Due date tomorrow.....would be awesome if bubs decides to arrive on time!

Have a fabbie boxing day everyone!

enormouse · 26/12/2013 10:41

My back and hips are in agony today. So sofa bound yet again and things need done round the house. Laundry, dishes and putting away of presents etc.
We're also doing boxing day dinner so I'm just delegating from a seated position whilst dp does it. I think he's doing pizza, salads and leftover cold meats. Buffet type stuff.

Ds got a good haul of stuff yesterday but likes his little stocking filler type things the most. Which is a shame as the very irritating yet expensive so I have to be nice about it v tech toot toot garage from dps parents barely got a glance. How did your kids do present wise?

chocoloulou34 · 26/12/2013 10:43

Morning all. Congratulations another sorry you've had such a bad time but hope ur recovering ok now.
So we had no xmas day babies on here then?
Yesterday went past in a bit if a blur for me rly but a good day. Another busy one 2day. Stressing about the mess in my house. The kids got so much stuff and cant even think where its all gonna go. That will have to be 2moros job! Just hope baby stays put for a couple of days so I can get house sorted!!

fryingpantoface · 26/12/2013 10:52

Have a great day toby

sultana luckily dh is at work today (retail) so i miss most of the football. He will be watching the 5.30 kick off tho.

mouse sounds bad! Leave it all up to him, you take it easy!

choco ds got loads of toys which is gonna be difficult to find places for. He's had presents on Monday, Tuesday, yesterday, and today too. Well, his presents today will be from my parents.

i didn't realise people would get the baby presents, clothes etc. He's still in my tummy! Thought that was odd, but rolled with it.

Percypiglet · 26/12/2013 10:55

Congrats another, hope you recover speedily.

Sultanajo · 26/12/2013 12:07

enormouse poor you! You will soon be a master of delegation!

choco glad you had a good, if blurry day yesterday!

Sultanajo · 26/12/2013 12:12

frying we also got a few bits for baby! but we aren't gonna open them until he is here....

My mum and dad put some money in my account so I can get started with a few swimming lessons for bubs when we are ready, as mum knows I am really keen to do that as I am definitely a water baby. Mum printed off a picture of her and I in the pool when I was a baby and wrote a message next to it. It made me cry as it was so incredibly thoughtful and took me totally by surprise! I keep looking at the picture!

Sultanajo · 26/12/2013 12:15

When I say "in the pool" I mean the local council swimming pool! That totally sounded like we had a pool ourselves! Lol! I wish!

quackojuliet · 26/12/2013 12:52

Glad to hear lots of enjoyable christmases were had! Hope lots of chocs devoured and crappy tv watched.

another congratulations to you! Hope you are recovered to enjoy new year with your beautiful bundle

frizz sorry to hear you've not had much sleep. I guess we should count our blessings for every bit of sleep we do still get while pregnant...

Well my rumbles continued all day yesterday, went for a walk which ramped them up, then down again. So I guess just gearing up slowly. Felt like period cramps interspersed with regular tightenings. Quite a bit of backache too.

Was expecting another disturbed night last night but slept better than have for weeks..so thinking this may calm down again. Seeing mw tomorrow and expect to be told 'normal' with disinterested face.

Enjoy lazy days all! In bed with dh watching tv so its looking good here.

Frizz1986 · 26/12/2013 13:10

mrsr sorry the spd has become so bad but at least the end is in sight. I know the feeling of just wanting it all to be over (thankfully i had less time than I thought to wait)

blue fx you dont have long to wait either.

nature sorry about your grandad. Are the BH getting painful? Possibly preparing you ready for the day Smile

frying yay fo rfamily visits. Am sure bubs will stay put for a bit longer so you can enjoy yourself.

toby wow thats a lot of people. Hope you have a fab day though.

sultana i'd watch out. Bubs will arrive exactly when you dont want it to so dh might have just jinxed it! And all those sales might get things moving.......

choco xmas always seems to bring a mound of things that you have no space for. Hope you get time to sort it all out.

Thats so nice that some of you have had baby gifts for xmas. We have had a pot of stuff purchased for us/made for us, but obviously didnt get to xmas day before she made an appearance anyway.

Well had my first midwife visit today and Aurelia is doing well which is nice. Slight jaundice but she said popping her in front of the window should fix that.
Dh went to mothercare sale with his mum today. He came back with a lot of stuff (all of which MIL bought which was very nice of her) She went a bit loopy with all the stuff but they are all gorgeous and in the wash so we have some things for her to wear.
I also now have a childs swimming ring (cheaper than a special pillow) so should get some relief from the soreness. Not sure how much is soreness from general birth and how much is due to the tear. Am looking forward to the general leaking stopping though as that should make things easier.
Am slightly gutted now that I pushed so fast and let the contractions take control of me as she was small enough that I shouldnt have torn so much but because of the speed...Would be nicer knowing that I dont have a few months of discomfort.....not looking forward my first bowel movement either.
Also feel like I am the only one to tear so bad as the other nct girls have only had small tears so it will be much quicker for them getting back to normal. Am generally happy about the whole birth though and not much i can do about it now. I have been sore in that area after sex before so i guess my area might not be as stretchy.

Happy boxing day everyone!!
