Congratulations frizz hopefully they'll let you out soon!

enormouse watched worlds end a couple of nights ago - it's really funny. I'd tell your mil to shove it and stay on the sofa. Claim early labour if you have to!

Sultanajo · 24/12/2013 19:19

frizz hurray! Massive congratulations! So glad you finally had a clear sign and from then on it was super quick! Just awesome!!! Well done you!

Percypiglet · 24/12/2013 19:43

Weird, anyone had pain at top of the bump, that means you cant sit up, and it's all tight - have to adopt a weird position to make it feel nicer. Not had this before, hurts! Is this Braxton hicks?

BuntCadger · 24/12/2013 19:49

Wonderful news frizz :) congratulations! It really is getting very real now isn't it! I've not yet packed bag/birth plan etc. head in sand and despite number 4 I'm quite scared.

All set for Xmas here, just us and the kids which is perfect. Ds2 birthday on 27th so love this time of year with his birthday and he loves it too Grin

Angelesque · 24/12/2013 20:05

Percy I sort of had this on Friday but the other way round - upper tummy sore with BH, rock hard, and just couldn't get comfy lying down - had to sleep sitting up! Also gave me really bad digestion, bleugh

fryingpantoface · 24/12/2013 20:12

Hello to everyone! I just wanted to check in - pleased to learn your sister has seen sense!

Christmas dinner went well. A few occasions i would have been justified in killing sfil, but i didn't. Just had a candle lit bath and now in my pjs. So lovely

fryingpantoface · 24/12/2013 20:13

Ds is going around saying "baby's here" which is a little weird.

can feel air bubbles in my fanjo. Odd!

sometimes that happens to me, the belly thing, the mw said it was just the baby stretchinf

Frizz1986 · 24/12/2013 20:27

Sounds like everyone is about ready for Xmas day tomorrow. I am still hoping I can be out in the morning but not sure as visiting hours only start at 12noon.Dh has just left Sad as visiting times are over.
Not really sure how all this hospital lark works. Am hooked to a catheter but would be nice to clean up downstairs, put on a fresh pad and put on some underwear for the night. But not sure how I do this. Will prob buzz for some help before snooze time.
Not sure what I do about nappies either as no one has really talked me through where rubbish goes etc plus it's boiling!
Am in a ward with 3 other beds but I'm the only one in it so all alone. Hoping Aurelia sleeps well tonight so I can catch up with some zzzzzz.

TarkaTheOtter · 24/12/2013 20:33

Buzz frizz it's what the bell is for. I've had several stays in hospital and often if you're too quiet you can get forgotten so you have to be a bit pushy (but polite obv) I'm afraid.

Frizz1986 · 24/12/2013 21:03

Thanks tarka the lady has just come to check in on me and has been lovely. I expect she finishes shift soon tho so hope the next one is nice too.

sarahleanne · 24/12/2013 21:13

Frizz how much did she weigh ? Sorry if uve already said and I totally missed it x

flyawayblue · 24/12/2013 21:14

Huge congrats fizz, lovely name and I'm glad all those pains weren't for naught.
Hope you manage to workout the ward and are able to all go home tomorrow.

Had my mother over for Christmas Eve dinner as that's when she / we celebrate was nice though everything was about her or my birth when everything went wrong - not really what I want to think about at the moment! Though at least less of the I'm the worst daughter ever speech so all good. She's bought a lovely bouncer for the baby but then got upset that she hadn't bought me or dh anything, wft with getting upset though as she easily could have. Oh well at least she liked the things I gave her Smile

Looking forward to tomorrow as just me and dh, hopefully bh's will stay away until the 27th wasn't keen on those this morning!

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas Smile

Mythreeknights · 24/12/2013 21:31

Yes happy Christmas everybody, especially frizz...I cannot believe you laboured at home until the last minute, and all along thought it was just BHs!! You are a hero and I hope tonight in hospital is manageable, not noisy at least if you don't have neighbours yet. Going home tomorrow on Christmas Day will be extra extra special...for everyone else it's just Christmas Day, but for you everything will have changed.

fryingpantoface · 24/12/2013 21:32

I still have a dodgy tummy, hoped it would be better, and crampy all the time. I want bug to stay in there until Thursday at the earliest as that's when I'm 37 weeks and can go to the mlu

frizz - I'm so pleased things are good, well, as can be expected. It's rubbish your oh cant stay with you, but you'll see him tomorrow. Can you ask someone if you can bathe?

MrsGSR · 24/12/2013 21:36

Congrats frizz!

Mac2014 · 24/12/2013 21:52

Congratulations frizz such a lovely name. Hope you get a good nights sleep and you get out tomorrow. Well done!

MrsVDB · 24/12/2013 22:03

Congratulations frizz were your waters a gush then? So your pain threshold is higher than you thought! Amazing!

percy I get that too. I assume bhs but doesn't always feel hard at same time

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 24/12/2013 22:28

frizz buzz every time you need something. Don't be shy - if you're the only one, they will not be too overstretched. And have a good night's sleep, I hope! Merry Christmas to you and Aurelia!

percy the pain I had, which was pretty constant, and at the top of bump, was stretching. Baby stretching out = pain.

frying oh how spooky... MAYBE you are next?

Just had a bath with loads of E45 emollient oil which seems to just about keep a lid on the intense and annoying sharp itches, which always happen as bean is putting on weight and stretching my skin more. I bloody hate it - it's like being bitten by tiny insects, and gets worse at night.

Now, instead, I am all greasy. Naice. Grin

alteredimages · 24/12/2013 22:52

Merry Christmas ladies! Xmas Smile

Congratulations everyone who has given birth, frizz, extra, felix and hopefully another too. Flowers We are really building up momentum! I hope I haven't forgotten anyone but my memory is like a sieve.

frizz you are amazing and a complete trooper. Hope Aurelia is letting you rest.

I am getting these groin cramps more and more and loads of pelvic pain but baby doesn't seem to be engaged and I think was even briefly transverse this afternoon. Lots of really weird big movements, I feel like I am going to break and I am not exactly delicate! Also (tmi) pooing like a champion and getting loads of mucus, but no contractions. 39+1 but still no hospital bag, I think if I pack it I will be admitting I am psychologically ready when I am just not. Crazy, I know.

DD has started talking to my tummy lots though and telling the baby she loves him, which is v cute.

percy i have been getting those weird pains at the top of my bump too. No idea what they are but they are incredibly annoying!

Bluecarrot · 24/12/2013 23:33

Bluecarrot · 24/12/2013 23:37

Gah!

Congrats fizz and love the name :)

Hoping everyone else can hold off til Boxing Day ( unless you want to go now?!) I cried in frustration earlier with pain stopping me from getting stuff done ( cleaning mainly- gifts etc sorted ages ago!) but now tryin to get some sleep.

Merry Christmas everyone.

TobyLerone · 25/12/2013 00:07

Happy Christmas, all!

OP posts:
quackojuliet · 25/12/2013 04:13

Happy christmas all!

Having an odd night here - nausea, vomiting and diarrhea (sorry tmi). Only vommed twice but quite violent and its unusual for me - felt horribly nauseous whole of first tri but never threw up.
Now just puking water back up, called hospital as was worried about dehydration but unsurprisingly they don't want me near the place with what is potentially a bug.
Don't think its a bug myself, am also getting crampy pains off and on and generally been feeling weird...not ill though. Just a bit off. We'll see.

Not a great start to xmas though for me! Hope you all have better nights and mornings!

chocoloulou34 · 25/12/2013 04:18

Wow congrats frizz . Was only chatting to u late last night then u go and have a baby. So not bh after all then. Bet u were so relieved. The name is so pretty. How much did she weigh? Hope ur having a food first night with her. Really hope they let you home today.

Well I spent most of xmas eve wrapping presents and sleeping. The pain us still worse its been and morphine is helping but even that I seem to be getting immune too now as have been awake since 2.30am in agony. Morphine has made me rly drowsy but that's about it this time. Pain not going. Brillo timing hey. Kids will be up in a few hours! Least its given me some time to catch up on here. Wonder if we will have an xmas baby? Ooh ok morphine rly making me woozy now so hoping I'll sleep for a bit now at least. Merry Christmas to all of you lovely ladies. Have a good one Xmas Smile

TobyLerone · 25/12/2013 04:19

Ugh, juliet, that's horrible for you :(
Keep sipping water. Even if it comes back up, some of it will help to hydrate you. I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago and I didn't feel particularly ill, either. Luckily it was quite short-lived, so I hope it's the same for you.
