I'm sorry, Choccy. I really hope next time you have a really sticky bean.

Bronya, good luck for tomorrow.

Travis, I haven't felt flu-like since mine. My arm hurt for a good few days though. I don't remember it being so painful last year.

HungryHorace · 18/12/2013 14:24

Oh, I'm so sorry, sillyme. :-( I hope you too have a sticky bean when you're ready to try again. Xx

CountdownBegins · 18/12/2013 14:25

I have an 'early' scan booked with the hospital when I will be 9+4 so hopefully will be something to see then- I was tempted to go for a private one earlier but the doctor advise against it unless there was bleeding etc.

Shakshuka · 18/12/2013 14:26

Thinking of you choccy and silly, I'm sorry for what you're going through.

Good luck tomorrow bronya

So sorry to everyone experiencing losses - it seems to be a sad few days on this board Sad. I hope there's no more.

Thanks for all the support and comments that have come out of my early scan. My feeling now is that I regret booking it as I feel more anxious now than I did before, however, if when I go back in 2 weeks and everything is fine, I'll probably be glad I've had it so I suppose its all relative?

Shakshuka · 18/12/2013 15:50

It's not even 11am here and I've started on my lunch already. I feel sick if I don't eat constantly. I'll be the size of a house before this is through. Anyone else on a carb-fest?

Ruggle · 18/12/2013 16:12

I am not eating constantly, but when I do eat it's massive portions. I think I need a stop button! Two huge bowls of Rice Krispies this morning. Last night it was a huge plate of salad and cottage cheese....It would have fed at least 2 adults.....and I couldn't move after. I'm thinking it's OK coz it's healthy food, but still....

mssleepyhead · 18/12/2013 16:16

Really sorry to hear of the further loses today x

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 18/12/2013 16:31

I'm so sorry to those who have had miscarriages Sad

I think I'm going to hide the thread for a while as I think it's making me more stressed and it's reminding me of things I'd rather not think of.

Good luck to everyone over the next few weeks/months. I'll hopefully jump back on in February Smile

RoseHoney · 18/12/2013 16:31

So sorry for all the losses :( thinking of you all!

I must be the only one who can't stomach a meal. Haven't eaten dinner for a week, the thought of food just makes me want to puke. The bolt thing I can stomach are sandwiches! Confused

Fox82 · 18/12/2013 16:37

Hi can I jump on board a bit nervously?

Pg with dc 1. Due 28/7/14.

I'm really sorry for all the losses I've been reading of on here Sad. It's so unfair. I had a blighted ovum miscarriage a few years back and it's heartbreaking. I thought it was all behind me, but I'm much more nervous about this pregnancy than I thought I'd be. I'm nervous that I'm not having many symptoms, and can't face going to that 12 week scan and there being nothing there Sad

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 16:53

Really sorry Choccy and fingers crossed to the others who are bleeding

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 16:56

(Sorry that posted twice)

bigbangfan · 18/12/2013 17:05

Hi everyone,

Please can I join? Got my BFP on Monday night (3 days before AF due) so VERY early days for me but if all ok then I think due date is 25 Aug.

Going to the doctor on Friday as I have an underactive thryoid and they told me to come in as soon as I got pregnant so they could up my dosage.

I am 33 and this is DC#1.

My heart goes out to everyone who has had bad news this week :(

Ruggle · 18/12/2013 17:58

Hi bigbangfan
Welcome to the group!

Is anyone else on here a vegetarian? I'm pretty sure my diet's ok (cheese, eggs, pasta, veggies galore), but my GP suggested I consult a dietician. My vitamin and iron levels are all fine apart from vit D, but I've been told that the whole UK population is lacking vit D, so it's not specific to me or my diet...just lack of sun.

miserywaterfall · 18/12/2013 18:02

Welcome to you lovely new ladies :)

Shak I feel sick with hunger at times too, despite it not being long since I have had something!! I am dreading the Christmas food and yet loving it at the same time ;D

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 18:08

Christmas eating going to be tricky! Worrying already about going to the inlaws over NY, as they drink back to back coffee, and cook fantastic meals- so don't want to offend if I can't eat parts - plus they know I love my good so would suspect something's up!

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 18:09

Food not good!!!

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 18:23

Ruggle - think we're all supposed to take a Vit D supplement?

Shallol · 18/12/2013 18:36

My midwife said Pregnacare (or similar) covers the vit D requirement Smile

Shallol · 18/12/2013 18:43

Does anyone else just feel "weird"? I feel a bit nauseous, a bit dizzy, no appetite, exhausted, weepy, ranty, don't want anyone to touch me... When does it pass, it's horrible.

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 18:47

Good old pregnacare! I wish the tablets were a bit smaller! They make me gag!

Polkadot1 · 18/12/2013 18:51

I know what you mean shallol- I feel most wierd at night- probably because there's no distraction! Just lie there feeling a bit sick and odd! But it's reassuring though? As sometimes in the day when busy I feel fine and forget!

Normalisavariantofcrazy · 18/12/2013 19:15

Is it bad that I really can't be faffed with taking pregnacare? Will my doctor tell me off?

I have never taken it before

miserywaterfall · 18/12/2013 19:24

I'm just taking a Vit D and folic acid pill every day. That Pregnacare stuff is so bloody expensive, bugger that! Balanced diet and those two pills are good enough for me!
