You're a good Daisy, but the more you express, the more you'll make, and it's normal to get more when you get used to expressing. If you don't want to have any extra then try not to express - a little unfomfortable at first, but your body will adjust. Then again, it does not hurt to have a little stack, just in case - get some bags, they take a lot less space.

My lambskin is from amazon.

Purplemonster · 09/12/2013 11:00

I agree - bags are much easier than pots in terms of freezer space, they're also less leaky. I stopped bothering to express as she totally refuses to drink from a bottle but the stash in the freezer is coming in handy for bunging in porridge/assorted mush now.

I can't believe Alex hasn't updated. Anyone would think she's busy having a baby or something. Grin Wink

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/12/2013 19:54

And after baby Alex arrives I'm third in line Shock

janey1234 · 09/12/2013 20:30

She's selfishly ignoring my messages. Unbelievable. Am furious, naturally AngryWink

Last update from her was at midday to another friend, contractions apparently v painful and talk of her having the baby that afternoon... But no news so far... Hope all is ok. Hopefully she's just pushed a baby out and is having newborn snuggles Smile

MotherOfCleo · 09/12/2013 20:41

Yeah hope she had a nice straightforward labour and is happily cooing over her newborn Grin Come on alex put us out of our misery! Wink

The tiredness has hit today, had an unsettled night and even gave in and had a 2 hour nap this afternoon. Still feel shocking though. Sad Have to take Harvey for a hospital appointment tomorrow morning and wish I could have a day in bed instead.

janey1234 · 09/12/2013 22:07

Still no news but I have friends texting me approx every 40mins asking for news! Only update is that she read my messages at 5.33pm... But no reply... Hope she's doing ok!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/12/2013 22:25

Hoping she's ok, sending positive vibes

MotherOfCleo · 09/12/2013 23:21

BlearyeyedLol · 09/12/2013 23:59

Hope we have baby news in the morning. I've also been pestering asking janey on fb for news Blush

Also hoping for a decent (ish) night sleep for all of us and that the cavort special gets lost in the post and ends up in a 20 something full of energy mum's house and not one of us berries Wink

Quodlibet · 10/12/2013 00:05

Also sending good vibes for Alex. Come on Alex and babyAlex!

BTW check out the ugly objects thread in Threads of the day - there are some true splendours on there and I am very proud of my contribution

janey1234 · 10/12/2013 06:35

Still no news, although she did read my texts at 4.04am.

My folks have kindly come down for three nights to sleep with Miles and let us catch up on some sleep (amazing) but have been up all night hoping for news.... Am such a worrier! Hoping she's sleeping with her newborn baby...

BraveLilBear · 10/12/2013 06:46

Bless you Janey. I'm sure she's fine and just knackered or busy. Fingers crossed here too.

Btw amazing of your folks to help out like that. Grandparents of the year! :)

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/12/2013 06:50

Checking in hoping for news soon

janey1234 · 10/12/2013 07:28

Tallyra · 10/12/2013 07:47

come on Alex, we are all waiting!Wink hope little one is ok xxxxx

janey1234 · 10/12/2013 07:50

Oh no, my third in line comment wasn't me announcing news from Alex, I just realised I hadn't commented on that merkin! Still no news from Alex Hmm

MotherOfCleo · 10/12/2013 08:32

ahh bless you janey, im sure she is fine. Knackered and sore but fine.

I feel awful, I had a slight meltdown at 3am when Harvey did his 'i'll sleep in your arms but try to put me down and I'll scream' routine, I was just so so tired and felt rough due to a very sore throat and waking up soaked with sweat due to a bit of a temprature. I did what I could but after feeding him then having 30 mins of up and down to the cot to a baby who just wanted to be held I.woke my OH and asked him to take over, I even left the room for 10 mins just to get some space. Thankfully when I got back my OH was on my side an said he would cover the rest of the night while I slept, that worked a treat and I feel much better this morning, still tired but not as ill. Just feel like the worst mother ever. Sad

HazleNutt · 10/12/2013 08:53

Of course you're not a bad mother, sleep deprivation is horrible. Glad you have an helpful OH.

V was back to normal, only waking every 2 hours and right back to sleep after feeding, so I feel much better as well.

Alex, we're waiting!

BlearyeyedLol · 10/12/2013 09:45

I was out last night L went to the pub for the third time in as many days so she went to sleep late. She then slept from 12-4, up 10min and then till 6:30, and again till 8!!! Much better night here too.
On other news she's been very interested in food. We went to nandos and dh gave her a chip of all things!!! She grabbed it and sniffed it but thankfully didn't eat it!!!
So I might give her coconut water and some tropical fruit when we go on holiday on Sunday Grin

Come on Alex!!!!!

BraveLilBear · 10/12/2013 10:41

Morning all! Had a panic when DP got up for work and I realised that H had only been up once. At 1230. And slept til 630!

BraveLilBear · 10/12/2013 11:06

That's funny Lol - H has started copying us chewing! Gonna maybe try the banana test in a couple of weeks as he is sitting (supported) as well.

Think I'm the bad mother though - trying to hold off on weaning as long as possible for fear of the nappies... :/

Sending positive thoughts to Alex...

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/12/2013 11:32

Is anyone else a little worried or am I being dramatic?
