Hi Everyone
I thought we should have a thread in here as so many of us have now graduated into the antenatal threads. I know that many good friendships have been made and it would be a shame to lose them because we are all due in different months.
So come on sign in!!

Hi everyone.

Hope you've all had a good weekend. MIL took me and dh to the biggest mothercare I've ever seen so we have almost everything we need now (probably more than we need!)including a travel cot which MIL bought us. I think she's making sure we have no excuse not to visit.

I'm so excited. One of my pg friends was due 18th Aug (so she's overdue now) and the other 2 are both due 6th Sept. I can't wait to find out what they have and see their babies. I went through a phase of feeling jealous that they were all 2 months ahead of me, but now I'm just excited for them, and happy that they will tell me the truth about labour, birth and looking after a newborn. I may even get to practice nappies and things so I will have a better idea when mine comes along. Every day I'm just waiting for a phonecall now to say one of them is in hospital. So excited!!

LOL HC, our Mothercare is supposed to be a Mothercare World, but it has hardly anything in it! We went to a place yesterday that is somewhere between Blackpool and Fleetwood, (can't remember the name of it, Nursery Supplies or something) and they had a really good range of travel systems, I have fallen in love with a couple of the Jane systems, just can't seem to find any reviews about them anywhere, even though they seem to be top end jobbies!

I think all we have left to get is the travel system, travel cot, high chair (which we probably won't get till the baby is old enough to want one, but I am keeping an eye open in case we find one at the right price), and then I need a few things like breast pads, and big knickers for after the birth, and I think that is it mainly! We are just waiting for the nursery to be ready to decorate (which will be close to the end of September) and then things can really get moving!

Is that too long Lota?!!!!

Hope everyone is doing OK? TC xxx

trace2 · 22/08/2006 16:42

hi ladies just popping on to see how you loverly ladies are, with your bumps

NatalieJane · 22/08/2006 16:52

Hey Trace, how is it going?

How are you feeling now?

Coriander73 · 22/08/2006 17:27

Hi Trace....how are you doing? Got 3 weeks ish left, saw MW today who wants me back in two weeks. Feeling OK but just mega tired....gettting nervous & excited at the same time

NatalieJane, I have a Jane powertrack 3 wheeler which was fab first time round. DH is going to put it back into the pram position sometime soon I hope (!) & we also have a double buggy for as & when we need it as DD will just be two when baby arrives & although she loves walking....don't quite think we can expect her not to sit in especially if she sees sibling in it! Personally I hate travel systems, think they are cumbersome, heavy & not good i.e forcing the baby to sit rather than lie down. For that reason we have a Maxi cosi car seat & always used the Jane as a pram when she was very small etc.

NatalieJane · 22/08/2006 17:37

Coriander, I am not keen on the travel systems for the same reason, this is why the Jane systems are looking so good to me, the Matrix carseat that they do lies flat, like a carry cot, in the car and on the chassis, in case anyone is wondering what on earth I am on about, have a look at www.babyzoop.co.uk, I can't do links, but search for the Jane Matrix and there is quite a bit of (very biased) info on there about it. I really like the idea behind it, just can't seem to find anything that says it is as good as all the shops say it is, if that makes sense?

wuzzlefraggle · 22/08/2006 18:03

hi ladies!

trace - good to hear from you, hope that alls going well!

Corriander - 3 weeks left???!!! its good to hear from you too, its been ages since u posted on here, ive been wondering how close the dates were getting for you

hope that every1 else is ok. only 9 weeks left for me now eeek! lol. must adnit, im getting a bit uncomfortable now too, but ah well

NatalieJane · 22/08/2006 18:07

Hi Wuzz, how is it going? 9 weeks?!!! I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by!

wuzzlefraggle · 22/08/2006 18:12

Hiya nat! hows u?? yeah i know its mad how quickly its gone by. dh and i are frantically trying to sort out the babys room lol. you cant have much longer left either

NatalieJane · 22/08/2006 18:17

It I have just over 13 weeks left, I am just hoping it carries on going as quickly as it has been doing, couldn't bear it if it all slowed down now!!

I am finding it harder to sleep comfortably now, but other than that, I am doing OK I think! Will be much better when the room is decorated and finished, my dining room is really peeing me off now It is getting on my nerves having the stuff everywhere, and knowing that it is all going to be there for at least another month if not longer... GRRRR!! LOL, I am not moaning really, just pretending to!!

wuzzlefraggle · 22/08/2006 18:28

nat, i know how you feel lol. dont worry tho, it'l all come together

yeah, im getting uncomfortble and finding it hard to sleep too. i must admit that i'll be glad when the baby arrives now (not untill the house is done tho lol)

NatalieJane · 22/08/2006 18:41

It is just so frustrating, I can see what needs doing, we have the stuff sat here ready to go, but until the walls have been plastered nothing can be done. But I am sure that our houses will all be sorted out and looking like palaces before the babies arrive... yeah right!! Wishfull thinking me thinks!!

DH is home now, so I had better go and make him feel loved!! Have a good night, TC xxx

wuzzlefraggle · 22/08/2006 18:45

lol nat!
ok, i'll speak to you soon, have a nice evening xox

NatalieJane · 24/08/2006 15:03

It has gone all quiet again, is there anyone there? Or are we all too busy chucking bottles into a stupid ocean?!!

wuzzlefraggle · 24/08/2006 15:24

nat im here if your still about. whats all that about the bottle thing???

NatalieJane · 24/08/2006 15:52

LOL Check out the thread about chucking bottles into the ocean Wuzz, it never seems to be far from active convo's... be warned though it is very addictive!!

wuzzlefraggle · 24/08/2006 16:02

i'll have a little peak at it now...ive seen it qute a few times on the boards, but never bothered looking at it. anyways, hows u?

NatalieJane · 24/08/2006 16:12

Doing OK, got heartburn again today, but apart from that I am good! How about you?

wuzzlefraggle · 24/08/2006 16:15

not bad thanks, me and dh are going to get a load of baby stuff today a family friend is helping us out a lot with baby stuff, so we are going to their house a little later to get the baby goodies lol

wuzzlefraggle · 24/08/2006 16:17

ooo, a friend of mine i chat to online had her baby on sunday...first baby (boy, called myles, weighed in at 6lb). she clocked into the hospital at 2am and the baby was here at 2:50am! her waters broke at 11pm..so in all not even 4 hours!!

NatalieJane · 24/08/2006 16:18

It is so exciting isn't it? Getting it all together, it sort of makes it more real in a silly kind of way!

wuzzlefraggle · 24/08/2006 16:19

yeah, i cant wait...i'll be sat here tomorrow fiddling with it all lol

wuzzlefraggle · 24/08/2006 16:27

anyways, id best be off to wash my hair and put some makeup on as we have to be at the family friends house at 6

take care nat, will catch you later xoxox

NatalieJane · 24/08/2006 16:31

It is going to be once the room is finished and the furniture can (finally!) go up there, and then all of the bits can go in, like the teddies and even things like the changing mat, I remember doing DS's nursery in our old house, that last bit of putting everything in it's place, and then moving it all around, again, and probably again before he is born LOL I can't wait!!! LOL I don't think he really needs much more help, but I think it will make it very final for DS as well, well for all of us really, we got pregnant that quickly, it still hasn't sunk in properly!!

NatalieJane · 24/08/2006 16:31

OK hun,

Have fun!!! TC xxx
